Cell phone theft: 14-year-old girl arrested for stealing cell phone in Hong Kong

A 14 year old cell phone thief was arrested by the Hong Kong police yesterday.
The suspect is a junior high school student who was wearing her uniform while stealing. She told people that she lost her phone or wallet and asked them to lend out their phones so she could call her family. When the victims loaned their phones, she would run away immediately.
Police found her on security camera footage in Sha Tin station after she stole a 10-year-old girl's phone. Police found out she is a student of a junior high school in the same area. They waited for her near the train station and arrested her yesterday morning.
After searching her apartment, police believed she was related to multiple theft cases in the past three months. The suspect said she sold the stolen phones and spent all the money.
