MEMORIAL: Remembering President J.F. Kennedy 50 Years After His Assassination

On the 50th anniversary of the John F. Kennedy assassination there are still some little known facts: Lee Harvey Oswald was not arrested for killing Kennedy, but for fatally shooting a Dallas patrolman 45 minutes after the assassination. Three major networks shut down regular programming for four days. Harming or killing a president was not a federal offense at the time of JKF?s assassination, and a woman swore in Lyndon B. Johnson as president for the first and only time in history.
