Russian soldiers were out in force in Moscow to mark the anniversary of a war-time military parade.
They recreated a march which took place on November 7, 1941, when German troops were approaching the Soviet capital.
It was staged in Red Square on a day President Vladimir Putin revealed he had asked parliament to pass a law to help boost patriotism among young people.
