Israel says it has found a tunnel running into the country from the Gaza Strip, intended for 'terrorist activity".
The Israeli army says it is 1.7 kilometres long and was discovered near a kibbutz.
There are mixed reports as to whether it contained explosives.
Israel has now frozen the transfer of building material to Gaza.
