Texting Driver Crashes into Tractor Pulling Liquid Manure

A man in Wisconsin, 37-year-old Matthew Bruhn, is in some hot water with his rental car company. Bruhn had struck a tractor carrying a load of liquid manure because he was texting and driving.

Texting and driving is not only dangerous, it can lead to some messy and sticky situations. A man in Wisconsin, 37-year-old Matthew Bruhn, is in some hot water.

Bruhn was behind the wheel of a 2014 Ford Mustang convertible that he rented from the company called Avis.
A crash happened at a little after 11:30 in the morning. Bruhn had struck a tractor carrying a load of liquid manure because he was texting and driving.

According to police, Bruhn was distracted while operating the vehicle.He had reportedly just finished talking and texting on his phone. He looked up and immediately saw the tractor but it was too late.

Bruhn ended up with a broken finger and was treated at a local health center. Fortunately, the operator of the tractor was uninjured.

U.S. 151 was temporarily closed after the accident so authorities could clean up the manure spill at the scene. The state Department of Natural Resources was called in for assistance.

A formal investigation has been launched to determine the full circumstances of the crash.
