A CYCLIST ended up in “deep shit as he competed in the Grand Prix de Denain race.
AG2R Citroen Team cyclist Stan Dewulf, 25, was left with a bad taste following the now-viral incident this week in France.
UAE Team Emirates star Juan Sebastian Molano won the annual race.
However, it was Dewulf, rather than the Colombian, who has stolen the headlines after his unfortunate crash.
And even the commentator was struggling to contain her laughter as the Belgian hurtled off the road straight into a huge pile of manure.
GCN Racing announcer Jode Been said between chuckles: “Ooh that is going to be smelly.
“That is going to be one smelly crash there from the AG2R rider - going straight into that mountain of manure!”
Even the GCN Racing Twitter account saw the funny side as they shared the footage along with the caption: “Luckily Stan_Dewulf1 had a soft landing when crashing at #GPDenain today…manure!
Fortunately, the rider escaped unscathed and even continued the race and afterward he saw the funny side as he wrote on Instagram: "You could that I had a shit day. Literally."
