Anger in Egypt court as Mubarak trial adjourned

Former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak in court once again as he faces retrial for complicity in the murder of more than 800 protesters.

… and in favour of Mubarak gathered outside for the second session of the retrial.

There was uproar inside when the presiding judge ruled that lawyers for the families of those killed in the protests would not be allowed to take part in future sessions.

They said they would try to challenge that ruling.

Lawyer Mohamed Abdel Wahab said the new trial should start from square one and the civil charges presented by the civil plaintiffs should therefore be accepted.

Any other ruling, he said was politically motivated.
