A Leeds man has been jailed for dangerous driving following a police pursuit that started on the A64 and ended on the A19 near Easingwold.
Kenan Joseph, 23, previously of Harehills, was jailed for 16 months after pleading guilty to dangerous driving, failing to stop after a collision, failing to provide a specimen for analysis, driving without insurance and possessing cannabis.
He was also banned from driving for three years and eight months, ordered to take an extended driving test before he can get his licence back, and ordered to pay compensation of £1,340.
