George Frideric Handel's Water Music Suite premiered on the 17th July 1717, after King George I had requested a concert on the River Thames, London. The Suite in F major is the first suite from the collection of three orchestral movements, which comprise the work 'Water Music.'
'Air' from Handel's 'Water Music Suite in F Major' has become popular with audiences and was used in an episode of the TV series 'Six Feet Under' in 2005.
