To mark the International Day of Families on May 15th, the United Nations Human Rights Office in Seoul urged the two Koreas to enable separated families to meet and make permanent contact.
The office on Friday posted on Twitter a call for both Koreas to allow contact among separated families..., through meetings, letters and phone calls.
It also emphasized that around 65-percent of the separated families who are still alive are in their 80s or older.
