00:29This week on TNA Explosion, Gia Miller goes around the ring with Casey Navarro of First Class.
00:36The Don West, you've got to be kidding me, top five trending topics of the week.
00:41In case you missed it and in our main event, JDC of the system goes one-on-one with Jack Price.
00:49But first, it's From the Vault, presented by TNA+.
00:52Explosion starts now.
00:59Ladies and gentlemen, this is your Slammiversary main event of the evening.
01:10It is from the Impact World Championship, scheduled for one fall when the bell rings, your referee, Daniel Spencer.
01:17Ladies and gentlemen, introducing first in the corner to my right, he is the challenger from Kingsland, England, the national treasure, Nick Aldis.
01:30His opponent in the corner to my right from Detroit, Michigan, he is the defending Impact World Champion, Alex Shelley.
01:48What a way to cap off this evening.
01:55We hope you'll join us for the Slammiversary post-show live on Impact Wrestling's YouTube and Impact Plus immediately following our broadcast.
02:03And when we get to that post-show, we'll be telling you all about a new Impact World Champion.
02:16Or will Alex Shelley be standing tall with the gold still around his waist?
02:22And Shelly with a mouthful of water turning things around on Nick Aldis, it's not illegal.
02:41Well, yeah, I'm sure it's all above board.
02:44Here, is this one of the unscrupulous things that you don't like to see?
02:47Are you gonna call it out now?
02:48Call it out, Tom.
02:48I'm saying technically it's not illegal at the same time, think about what Nick Aldis has done.
02:53Blasting Alex Shelley multiple times with the Impact World title.
02:56Look out!
02:57Oh!
02:59Shelly coming hot right out of the gate.
03:02And Aldis kind of led him and took advantage there.
03:06Wait a minute, wait a minute.
03:07Early, Early is going for the Kingsling Coverleaf.
03:10Tom, you heard it.
03:11And Nick Aldis say he only needed one mistake from Alex Shelley.
03:14Shelley might have made that mistake.
03:16Shelley didn't get a little too comfortable, get a little too cocky maybe.
03:21Blow the water in the face of Aldis.
03:23And now he's caught the Cloverleaf.
03:25Kind aggressive, he thought maybe that's what he had to do.
03:28Drag back into the center, drag back into the center.
03:30Is the Machine Gun Era completely gonna come to an end tonight?
03:34Is this how it ends?
03:35Could it be this quick for Alex Shelley?
03:38We saw how quickly Saban lost his X Division title earlier on.
03:42Is Shelley gonna go the same way?
03:44Could be a bad night for the Motor City Machine Guns.
03:47Oh, Shelley.
03:48Shelley now trying to fight.
03:49Trying to claw to get to the bottom rope to break up the Kingsling Coverleaf here against Aldis.
03:55And now.
03:56And Shelley will break up the submission.
03:58One, two, three.
04:00But I hate to say it.
04:05A classic case of, has the damage been done?
04:10It was Shelley in the early going, spit water into the face of all this.
04:21Aggressively went after the challenger.
04:26Very hot-headed if you ask me.
04:28And then it was Aldis who saw the opening and took firm advantage of it.
04:33Stirring him first into the top turnbuckle.
04:35And listen, you and I have known Shelley to be a hot-headed instigator.
04:39That is just who he is as a person.
04:42And that's all well and good.
04:43And it's led him to some great tag team matches and everything like that.
04:46But this-
04:47Let him know a world title.
04:48Exactly.
04:49But will it keep the world title?
04:51He got that win.
04:52Over Steve Macklin.
04:56But will he be a transitional champion or can he solidify the beginning of his legacy
05:02atop of Impact Wrestling?
05:04A drop kick to the knee there, that really ticked off Nick.
05:07And he's going to the power game with the pump handle set up.
05:12And this is where Nick Aldis knows the pressure of this moment.
05:16He knows to keep it calm, keep it cool, keep it collected.
05:20That's how you win world titles.
05:22That's how you keep world titles.
05:25Let's go, Alex!
05:27Let's go, Alex!
05:29Our fans here in Windsor, Ontario, Canada behind Alex Shelley.
05:33Smash face first into the top turnbuckle by Aldis.
05:36Look Tom, I might get a little flat from this and I'll take it.
05:39But there's an old saying, those who can't do, teach.
05:43And look, Alex Shelley can wrestle his ass off and teach and coach his ass off.
05:50But this is another level.
05:53Something Nick Aldis knows all about.
05:56There's different pressure to being the representative of a company,
05:58representative of a brand, doing media, being and acting like a star at all times.
06:04That's a new thing for Alex Shelley.
06:07Shelley has never sought to be a quote unquote superstar, anything like that.
06:11He wanted to be a wrestler.
06:12He wanted to be a champion.
06:13Exactly!
06:14And he's done that tenfold in his career.
06:17All this with the suplex out of the corner, a little flurry there from Shelley.
06:21But to be a world champion is something more than just a wrestler.
06:27And that is something you have to know when you lace up the boots.
06:31I understand what you're saying.
06:32But we know the journey that Alex Shelley has gone on.
06:3520 years since his debut in Impact Wrestling.
06:3821 years altogether in professional wrestling.
06:41Yes, he wasn't able to win the big one for a long time.
06:44But he maybe has found his way to the top of the mountain at this point in his career.
06:49Maybe he has figured it out at this point.
06:51The dragon screw.
06:53Well, for his sake, Tom, I hope you're right.
06:55And he went after the left knee earlier on with that low drop kick.
06:58And he's gone back to it with the dragon screw.
07:00Looking like Alex Shelley indeed has a plan here.
07:04Might have started this one off a little hot-headed.
07:06But if he can laser focus in on that leg like he continues to do here.
07:12Going after the right leg kick to the hamstring there.
07:15Just trying to take away the base of Nick Aldis.
07:18Talked about on the tail of the tape, Aldis the size and power advantage.
07:22Yeah, that's a wise move if you're Alex Shelley.
07:26Cut the larger opponent down to size, literally.
07:29And think about trying to even set up for the Kingsland cloverleaf.
07:33If you're trying to sit down on it in any capacity, there's no base,
07:36there's no power behind that for Aldis.
07:38That's the veteran speaker Shelley here who continues.
07:43Despite the fight from Nick Aldis there continuing to assault the leg.
07:49Come on, and on there.
07:52Ready, guys.
07:55Now just leaping into almost a kick to the leg there, continuing this assault.
08:03This is what Alex Shelley needs to do.
08:08And Aldis needs desperately to prevent this.
08:11He needs to counter this.
08:14And as great as Aldis is, for all the reasons you just got done listening,
08:18as many times as he's been a world champion,
08:21is he prepared for this type of technical game?
08:24This type of dissection?
08:26As Shelley said it himself, I've taught you a lot, but I didn't teach you everything.
08:30Aldis able to escape.
08:33And we are gonna find out just how much Nick Aldis has learned from Alex Shelley
08:38and others in his long history in this business.
08:42Shelley trying to pick up speed there, caught amongst the apron there by Aldis,
08:46and Aldis using the ringside area to his advantage.
08:49I wonder did Alex Shelley teach him that one?
08:53Punch right to the face.
08:57There's so much that Aldis has taken away from the legends in professional wrestling.
09:01Rolls back inside the ring, resets the ten count, very shrewd.
09:04Title can only change hands via pin fault or submission.
09:07In the ring, and the spine of Shelley into the post.
09:10One, two, three.
09:12Say what you will about Nick Aldis.
09:19Aldis, he is indeed a student of the game.
09:22He watches what works.
09:26Let's go, Aldis!
09:28Let's go, Aldis!
09:30And now look at Aldis using his power and face first into the apron.
09:34Goes Shelley.
09:35Aldis rolls back inside, he resets the ten count again,
09:39trying to explore the space in the impact zone.
09:42And now very quickly, Aldis has turned things back around on Shelley.
09:51Does the damage on the outside, and then rolls the champ back into the ring.
09:55But Aldis here, looking behind him, to the outside, to the rail, to the floor here.
10:06This could be bad news for Alex Shelley, who manages to escape.
10:11Ooh!
10:12Great stunner across the ropes there, into the throat of Aldis.
10:17Come on, Shelly!
10:19And once again, a window, an opening.
10:22Ooh!
10:23To the arm!
10:25Come on, Nick.
10:26I'm about to say no, Nick.
10:27Before it was the leg of Nick Aldis in the focus of Alex Shelley.
10:32Now the arm, the technical prowess of Shelley coming into work here again.
10:38One!
10:39Breaking down Aldis bit by bit.
10:42Ooh!
10:43Into the eyes!
10:44Aldis goes to the eyes of Shelley.
10:46One!
10:47The official barking at Aldis.
10:49One, two!
10:50Wait a minute, wait a minute.
10:53Ooh!
10:54Trying to send Shelley into the steel post head first, and it backfired!
10:59Shelley rolls inside, resets the ten count, goes back after Aldis.
11:04She says something about Shelley there.
11:06Whoa!
11:07He can retain on a count out.
11:08One, two!
11:09Does not wanna do it that way as he continues his assault on the hand of Aldis.
11:13Wait a minute.
11:14He's sticking the fingers inside the turnbuckle.
11:17My God!
11:18And bending against the steel!
11:20Four!
11:21Four!
11:22My God, bending back on the fingers!
11:25You know, I didn't think about it for a minute there, Tom.
11:30But if you're Nick Aldis and you wanna put on that Cloverleaf,
11:34it's gonna be a hell of a lot harder now.
11:36He's thinking about breaking his damn fingers.
11:40Come on.
11:41Listen, Aldis ticked him off, all this stuff outside the ring.
11:44Shelley said, you know what, screw it, I'm gonna make this even worse for you.
11:48And Shelley started this aggression, starting this match off spitting water in the face of Aldis.
11:53It's stomping on the hand.
11:57And we talked about the damage done to the legs.
11:59So you've got damaged fingers and your legs aren't exactly cooperating.
12:04I mean, this is basically Alex Shelley just dismantling the National Treasure.
12:10And that is the strong suit of Alex Shelley.
12:14Tried to get, caught up there with a, going for a kick and another dragon screw.
12:22Back to the leg.
12:24The focus on the arm.
12:26Just when you think there's enough, here he turns to the leg.
12:29Nick Aldis being broken.
12:32Chop block!
12:33Multiple ways, a nasty chop block.
12:35Look at the way Nick Aldis just bent over his own knee.
12:38Now right to the eyes, to the eyes, Aldis continues to go to that.
12:45And smashing the face of Shelley into the canvas.
12:49Give me a little sense of desperation there from the challenger.
12:52He's done that multiple times.
12:53Now Aldis, Aldis was trying to corral Shelley.
12:59Look at this, not even back up through his feet, he's gotta work his way up.
13:02Trying to squeeze the life out of the champion, but once again Shelley returning to the wrist.
13:08And he's been laser focused stomping on, smashing.
13:12Snaps at the arm, going after the fingers for a moment that he had trapped in the turnbuckle.
13:19It was bending back against steel.
13:21For all intents and purposes, Nick Aldis, we don't know,
13:27may have multiple broken fingers here.
13:30Must be fighting through agonizing pain right now.
13:35Look at Aldis with a charge off of the ropes and a big clothesline.
13:39And Aldis knew he needed to level Shelley there just for a moment and buy himself some time.
13:45Scrambles into a cover, hook to the leg, and a kick out by the champion.
13:49What you saw there, the addition of his hand, as soon as he hit that clothesline,
13:53his leg buckled as well, continuing to give him trouble.
13:56Nick you suck! Nick you suck!
13:58And I don't know if I recommend this on a bad light, Nick.
14:02And listen, he was trying to go for a bomb there with that clothesline.
14:05He knows if he hits the elbow, that's one of the biggest moves in his arsenal.
14:08This is desperation from Aldis.
14:11Went off with the pass here by the Impact World Champion.
14:18And Alex Shelley looking to bring him in the hard way.
14:21And a superplex by Shelley!
14:24Shelley rips down the larger competitor from the top turnbuckle.
14:33You saw Shelley got to his feet there and then immediately collapsed back down.
14:38Take a look here at what happened.
14:40The superplex bringing Aldis down hard.
14:43But Alex Shelley feeling the effects as well.
14:45Something to hit, hard to tell.
14:48Could be the low bat.
14:49Took a lot of strength to rip all this off the top rope there.
14:53And a straight right to the face.
15:00I wouldn't get into a slugging contest with Nick Aldis necessarily.
15:06Look at Aldis.
15:07Happy to throw hands at this point in the matchup with his one good hand, that is.
15:11Shelly lighting up the national treasure here in our main event at Slam of Archery.
15:20Face first into the middle turnbuckle.
15:22Shelly now starting to feel the momentum here.
15:33The energy from the crowd here in his second home.
15:36I went for the super kick.
15:40Now Aldis once again.
15:42Is he thinking about the King's Link?
15:44Cloverly trying to step through.
15:45Think about the damage done to the fingers, however, and the legs.
15:49Can he turn it over?
15:50I just didn't have the strength.
15:52Didn't have the strength to turn it over.
15:54There's so much grip strength needed for that.
15:56Wait, wait, wait.
15:57What a figure four.
15:58Shoulders down.
15:59Shelly couldn't get him.
16:00Shelly's plan for now seeming to have worked.
16:03Shelly spread by Shelly.
16:05Into the cover.
16:06To beat.
16:07Pressing the shoulders down.
16:08Wait a minute.
16:09Shoulders and a stretch.
16:11Beautiful transition from the Impact World Champion there.
16:15Wait.
16:16Shoulders down, shoulders down, and a kick out there by Shelly.
16:19And now going again to the clover leg, but no.
16:23Wait a minute.
16:24And Shelly's grabbing at the injured left hand.
16:26The fingers.
16:27I thought it was just the pressure of the move, but Shelly latched on to the wrist and the fingers.
16:33No, no, no, no, no.
16:34He's got him split here.
16:36And the slow joint manipulation by Shelly.
16:41And now once again, he's going for sliced bread, this time out of the corner.
16:49Caught by Aldis.
16:51And the pile driver.
16:53Cover.
16:54Do we have a new champion?
16:56And a kick out.
16:58The strength of Aldis nearly brought him home the gold.
17:02But he looks to follow up here.
17:04Aldis up top.
17:07And elbow drop.
17:08Is that it?
17:09One, two, three.
17:11Shelly able to kick out.
17:13Take a look one more time.
17:17The elbow perfectly planted across the throat.
17:21But somehow, the champ stays in it.
17:32Wait a minute.
17:33And now, Aldis who's grabbed the Impact World title belt, nearly from ringside.
17:39Maybe looking to repeat history a little bit here.
17:43I imagine it before he's hit Shelly in the face with that belt twice.
17:48Wait, wait, wait.
17:49How frustrated is Shelly though?
17:54That Aldis introduced that.
17:56No, no, no, don't do this, don't do this.
18:01Charlie, you can't do it, you'll get disqualified.
18:05And a low blow, that should be a disqualification.
18:09The official didn't see it.
18:11Right time, right place, can we have a new champion?
18:14What a kick out by Shelly.
18:17Shelly won't die.
18:18One, two, three.
18:21Aldis was certain, he was positive.
18:25He had found the moment to strike.
18:27But somehow, the heart of the champion still beats.
18:32And wait, one more time, Aldis grabs the title.
18:38Wait a minute, trying to hit Shelly with the title again.
18:42Shelly off of the DDT, onto the belt.
18:45And now it's maybe Aldis who made the mistake.
18:49Super kick.
18:50Aldis is busted open.
18:56Oh, he's in time.
18:58Metal shock.
18:59Got him.
19:00One, two.
19:01Shelly closes the book on Aldis.
19:04Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner, and still,
19:09Impact World Champion, Alex Shelly.
19:15What a battle for the Impact World Championship.
19:25Well, I don't like to admit it, but Tom, consider my points from the early parts of this matchup.
19:35Null and void.
19:37Alex Shelly has answered the challenge.
19:41Stays atop Impact Wrestling as the champion, the franchise player in this company.
19:47Let's take a look back.
19:48Here is how it all came about this evening in Windsor, Ontario, Canada on the campus of St. Clair College at Slammiversary.
19:57We talked about how this opportunity was huge for Nick Aldis, but also for Alex Shelly.
20:05Winning the title and against Salah, defending it in his contractual rematch in Australia against Steve Macklin.
20:12But now tonight, facing a new challenger in the main event of one of our marquee pay-per-views.
20:19What a moment for Shelly.
20:22And now, here on TNA Explosion, it's time for the Don West, you've got to be kidding me,

21:04It all goes down on Sunday, July 20th, live on Pay-Per-View and TNA Plus at the UBS Arena on Long Island, New York.
21:12At number three, also last night on Impact, another huge matchup was made amidst the turmoil of Order 4.
21:20Cedric Alexander has injected himself into the situation and it's been made official.
21:26Mustafa Ali will face Cedric Alexander, its unfinished business at Slammiversary.
21:34At number two, this past Tuesday night, live on NXT, Joe Hendry went one-on-one with Wes Lee as the leader of High Rise,

21:52And at number one, earlier on this week, our Director of Authority, Santino Morella, made it official having listened to the fans.
22:00The main event of Slammiversary, Tric Williams will defend his TNA World Championship against Joe Hendry and Mike Santana.
22:10It'll be live on Pay-Per-View and TNA Plus on Long Island, New York at our 21st annual Slammiversary.
22:17Still to come, JDC goes one-on-one with Jack Price in our main event.
22:24But coming up next, it's Around the Ring with Gia Miller, starring Casey Navarro of First Class.
22:33Welcome back to TNA Explosion, and now it's time for Around the Ring with Gia Miller.
22:39What's up, everybody? Welcome to Around the Ring. As always, I'm your host, Gia Miller, and today we are sitting down with TNA's very first all-star.
22:56Me. Casey Navarro. That's me, Squiddy.
22:59Dude, and you know what? I don't know a single person in the world that deserves it more than you.
23:04Oh, I love you.
23:05I mean, yeah, first ever TNA all-star. If you guys don't know, this is something new we've implemented here at TNA.
23:11Very true.
23:12And we give it away to somebody who has shown just total non-stop excellence. That's what I'll say.
23:19Exactly. TNE.
23:20TNE. Total non-stop excellence. And that's you. You bring it every single time.
23:25That's right.
23:26And this was what, oh, I wasn't there. You were not there.
23:31Tell me about what led up to getting that.
23:33So, I showed up to Under Siege, which was my 10-year anniversary in wrestling.
23:38Not expecting anything but to accompany my boy, AJ Francis, to the ring.
23:42He was wrestling Mike Santana. And at 1.40 in the morning, I get a call from good old Kevin Martin.
23:47Am I allowed to mention Kevin Martin?
23:48Kevin Martin. Oh, yes, you are. We know Kevin Martin.
23:50Good old Kevin Martin.
23:51Oh, yeah.
23:52No. Good old Kevin Martin. And I was told that I was going to be in a match.
23:57Uh-huh.
23:58And then, boom, out of nowhere, you know, I had to get ready to wrestle Mike Santana, open the pay-per-view.
24:02Bam, we kill it. I got destroyed by Mike, nothing new. And then the next day, I was awarded this all-star.
24:08So, it's pretty cool.
24:09And you absolutely deserve it. You're an all-star wrestler, an all-star performer, but you're also an all-star human being.
24:16Oh, I love you. You too.
24:17So, I love you so much. Yeah, listen, this goes way back.
24:21We're homies. The lads. The lads. The lads. The lads. If you know, you know.
24:26If you know, you know. I haven't been officially initiated yet.
24:28What? Yes, you have.
24:29Oh, okay. All right. I'll take it. All right. All right. I'll take it.
24:32But you know where else you're an all-star?
24:34Why?
24:35It's a... Come on. It's the drip.
24:38The drip? It's the fashion.
24:39It's the drip.
24:40You have always got it on you.
24:42Come on, Gia. I gotta be always blessed up from the feet to the neck up, Gia.
24:45And you certainly are. Tell me about your fashion sense. Like, where did this come from?
24:50My mama. I couldn't dress myself. You know? Like, if I had the choice, I would have wore wrestling shirts every day, you know?
24:57But my mama was like, no, you can't do that, KC. You gotta look nice. The ladies are gonna like you if you look nice.
25:03It's true. So even to this day, mama still helps me dress.
25:07Yep. Yep.
25:08Gotta call mama. Mama, what you think about this combination?
25:10That's good. You know?
25:11That's good. You have kind of a built-in stylist.
25:13Exactly.
25:14I have that same thing with my mom.
25:16There you go.
25:17I'll be like, oh, I'm not really sure about this. Send her a picture. And she will just tell me straight up.
25:21Hey, moms are the best stylists.
25:22She'll tell you, no, no.
25:23They know what they're doing.
25:24That is not flattering. You look fat.
25:26No, do not wear that.
25:28Exactly.
25:29But, and you know how to accessorize.
25:31I do.
25:32That's something that.
25:33That's me, though.
25:34That is like, yeah, oh, I know that's all you. You got the Versace. You got the chains.
25:37You got the drip.
25:38The shoes.
25:39Yeah, Gucci's on today.
25:40Hey, and you know, not chains, but equally as important.
25:44Oh, I got God all the time.
25:45Yeah.
25:46Got my God bracelets on, as a matter of fact. I got these off the TikTok shop. Am I allowed to mention the TikTok shop?
25:50Yes, you can mention the TikTok shop.
25:51Okay.
25:52I got this from a guy named Matt Bunch from S.A. Countdown, the shoes.
25:57Uh-huh.
25:58Do we all know him? I think everybody knows him here.
25:59And then a fan gave me this in Jacksonville.
26:01Oh, really?
26:02Not Jacksonville. I always say Jacksonville. Pensacola.
26:03I had a show in Pensacola.
26:04Okay.
26:05I really didn't want to be there.
26:06I really didn't want to wrestle.
26:07I was kind of down.
26:08I wanted to be home.
26:09And then that little girl came up to me.
26:10Didn't even know who I was.
26:11She was like, I want to give you a bracelet.
26:12And gave me that.
26:13I was like, you know what?
26:14I'm never going to forget that.
26:15And now you've still got it on?
26:16I still got it on.
26:17As a reminder.
26:18I love that.
26:19Anytime I get, all the time, baby.
26:21Yeah.
26:22And anytime I get like the little beaded bracelets, like the friendship bracelets from people,
26:27I keep every single one of them.
26:28Yeah.
26:29Because I just, well, first of all, I will stack them up to my elbows.
26:31That's what I'm saying.
26:32I have a door for them.
26:33I will stack them up to my elbows.
26:34But I like to keep little things that fans bring.
26:37Of course.
26:38They take, you know, the time out of their day to make something special for us.
26:41Yeah, yeah.
26:42And she took, maybe that was hers.
26:44Yeah.
26:45And she just was like, she wanted to share.
26:46I asked her.
26:47I go, why did you give it to me?
26:48And she goes, I just felt like I needed to give it to you.
26:49Yeah.
26:50And I was like, you know what?
26:51Okay.
26:52God works in mysterious ways.
26:53Hey, my favorite Bible verse, one of my favorites, is John 13, 7.
26:56Mm-hmm.
26:57What I am doing, you do not realize now, but you'll understand later.
27:00Boom.
27:01Amen.
27:02And it's always true.
27:03It's very true.
27:04It's always true.
27:05That's why I'm blessed.
27:06Yes.
27:07You may not understand it now, but everything happens for a reason.
27:09He has a plan for us, and no matter what plan we have for ourselves.
27:13Mm-hmm.
27:14It's his plan that's going to work.
27:16Exactly.
27:17And we found out.
27:18We found out.
27:19We found out.
27:20The easy way or the hard way.
27:22Or the semi-medium easy hard way.
27:26Or...
27:29I was trying to make a SpongeBob joke, but...
27:31I was trying to figure out one, too.
27:32That was Gary's math.
27:34Oh my gosh, yes.
27:35Gary, you're going to get in this tub one way or another.
27:37We can do this the easy way or the hard way.
27:39Or the semi-medium easy hard way.
27:41Or the semi-medium hard way with a little bit of difficult...
27:45Yeah.
27:46Anyway.
27:47That's me.
27:48Yeah.
27:49So, sorry.
27:50But...
27:51Listen, we were talking about earlier about how we hope that Around the Rings just goes off the rails.
27:56And sometimes it doesn't.
27:57Sometimes we're a little too regimented.
27:59We're achieving.
28:00I think we're doing really well.
28:01We're achieving the goal.
28:02We're doing well.
28:03Yeah, Squidward.
28:04Yeah, Squidward.
28:05Yeah, Squidward.
28:06Yeah, Squidward.
28:08The end of time.
28:09That's going to be you and me.
28:10Forever.
28:11Forever and always.
28:12Gotcha.
28:13Lock it.
28:14That's us.
28:15The lads.
28:16The lads.
28:17If you know, you know.
28:18We believe in the lads.
28:20Yes, we do.
28:21We believe.
28:22Anyway, Casey, thank you so much for sitting down with me once again.
28:25Thank you.
28:26It's always a pleasure.
28:27I love you so, so, so much.
28:28I love you, too.
28:29Guys, this has been Around the Ring.
28:33Up next, did you miss anything from Impact?
28:36No problem, we'll get you all caught up.
28:38It's In Case You Missed It, next on Explosion.
28:44Welcome back to TNA Explosion.
28:46And now it's time for In Case You Missed It.
28:49Killer Kelly wrapping that chain around the throat.
29:00What does she have in mind here for Slamovich?
29:03Pain, pain and destruction.
29:06And the suplex on the entrance way.
29:10That and leaving Pittsburgh as the new Knockouts World Champion.
29:20And now look at this.
29:21Literally dragging the near carcass of the Knockouts World Champion down the ramp way back towards the ring.
29:28The team once known as MKUltra captured two Knockouts World Tag Team titles.
29:34That is no more.
29:35It's all about the Knockouts World Championship.
29:37Slamovich is still in it.
29:42MKUltra and Spitfire are tied for the record for the longest female only Knockouts World Tag Team championship reigns of all time.
29:52182 days.
29:53Tremendous success for Killer Kelly and Masha Slamovich when they were a team.
29:57But Killer Kelly was gone from this company for a year.
30:02Competed in her first matchup in a year.
30:05In the 8-4-1 match that earned her this title shot.
30:15Now, these two former partners, former friends, just slugging it out with the title.
30:21And that brutal chain binding them together.
30:29Both down center of the ring.
30:40Killer Kelly's mission has been to return to this company with a vengeance.
30:43Trying to go right to the top and capture the Knockouts World Championship.
30:47Meanwhile, Masha Slamovich immediately responded once Kelly returned at Against All Odds.
30:53That quote, you belong at my feet.
30:56That is the confidence the champion has now.
30:59250 days as champion.
31:03Ooh!
31:07Sending Kelly into the corner.
31:08And a new strike by Masha.
31:13Slamovich with the boot right to the face.
31:15Yes!
31:16And the champs starting to rally here.
31:19Rolling through.
31:21Is that enough?
31:23Is that it for Killer Kelly?
31:25Here's the cover.
31:26No!
31:27This championship match continues.
31:37Kelly here proving that time away has not made her any less tough.
31:41Wait, wait, wait.
31:42Think about Requiem trying to end it.
31:45Killer Kelly able to avoid it.
31:47Great counter there from Kelly.
31:51Ooh!
31:52Face first into the middle turnbuckle.
31:59And now who?
32:00Who can hit that finishing blow?
32:02Ooh!
32:03Kelly able to escape out of the corner.
32:06Nearly trapped Slamovich.
32:07Ooh!
32:08And a boot right to the face.
32:13Let's go, Kelly!
32:14Drop her!
32:15Oh, now Kelly!
32:17Oh!
32:18Angel swings!
32:19Oh!
32:20Is it enough?
32:21Is it enough?
32:22Shoulders down!
32:23Oh!
32:24And a kick out by the champion!
32:27Slamovich living up to her own reputation of toughness.
32:37Masha not gonna let that one go down without a fight.
32:40Wait, look at this!
32:41Slamovich snowplow!
32:43That's gotta be!
32:44Cover!
32:45One, two, three!
32:46Oh!
32:47Killer Kelly kicked out!
32:49How many countless opponents, especially in her early days here in TNA, did Masha Slamovich
32:56put away with that snowplow?
32:58Killer Kelly knows Slamovich perhaps better than anyone in TNA, able to stay alive somehow in this chain match for the championship.
33:11Able to avoid Slamovich.
33:13Oh, no!
33:14Oh, no!
33:15Dumping the champion into the corner!
33:19Jump kick right to the face!
33:20Keeping the offense, the relentlessness!
33:23Is it enough to win the title?
33:25Oh, no!
33:26The right shoulder up there by Slamovich!
33:28Kelly staying on top, however!
33:30Kelly not wasting any time immediately wrapping the chain around the face of Slamovich, trying to squeeze the life out of her.
33:37Killer Kelly would love to set up that killer clutch, just didn't have the right positioning for it.
33:42And Slamovich gonna make her pay for that!
33:45The chain around the throat!
33:49Slamovich trying to end this!
33:51Oh, my God!
33:52Oh, you're gonna kill it!
33:53That's it!
33:54That's it!
33:55That's it!
33:56Slamovich retains in this chain match!
33:59Here is your winner, and still the TNA Knockout World Champion, Masha Slamovich!
34:14It took Slamovich nearly having to choke out completely her former friend and partner.
34:22But she did it, and is still your Knockout World Champion.
34:27Wait a second!
34:28Wait a second!
34:29What?
34:30It's Fallon Henley and the NXT Women's Champion, J.C. Jane, Jasmine Nix,
34:35Fatal Influence from NXT!
34:39It was enigmatic before!
34:41But it is clear and dangerous now.
34:47A message sent by the NXT Women's Champion.
34:51And now, are you kidding with her hands on the TNA Knockouts World Title?
34:58Oh, now, J.C. Jane's not done.
35:08Fatal Influence kicking the hell out of the Knockouts World Champion!
35:12Sending a message loud and clear, and look!
35:16Hold on!
35:17There's Laying Lee and Ziya Brookseye backing up Slamovich!
35:22They've fought Fatal Influence in the past!
35:25They know exactly what they're all about!
35:28I'm gonna run TNA next!
35:29I'm taking over this division too!
35:30I don't like the way that J.C. Jane was looking at that TNA Knockouts World Championship!
35:44I was getting flashbacks!
35:45Does J.C. Jane's greed for gold?
35:48No, no bounds!
35:50Up next, our main event features J.D.C. of the System squaring off with Jack Price!
35:59Don't go anywhere!
36:00This match is next on Explosion!
36:02Welcome back to TNA Explosion!
36:08Now it's time for our main event!
36:21The following contest is scheduled for one fall!
36:24Introducing first, from Flint, Michigan, weighing in at 220 pounds, J.C.
36:31We are set for action here on TNA Explosion on the campus of Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
36:41J.C. Jack Price is ready for action.
36:44Yes, he is!
36:45The Black Diamond is here, and he is ready to bring some action here to Pittsburgh.
36:51Welcome to the Impact Zone.
36:52She's me and J.C. Miller.
36:53I'm Tom Hannafin.
36:54We're joined on commentary here on Explosion by WCW commentator Once Upon a Time,
37:00and Pittsburgh sports radio leader for decades, Mark Madden.
37:05Mark, it's a pleasure to have you.
37:06Decades, indeed.
37:07It's a pleasure to work with both of you, a pleasure, too, to see the product that I watch regularly.
37:12To me, it's an old-school promotion that doesn't feel outdated, and that's definitely the vibe here.
37:17Well, we sincerely appreciate it.
37:19Thank you for the article you wrote on TribLive.com.
37:22TNA Wrestling being back in Pittsburgh for the first time in 15 years.
37:26Trust the System.
37:41And his opponents, accompanied to the ring by Alicia and Eddie Edwards, and Brian Myers, representing the System.
37:51From Boston, Massachusetts, weighing in at 230 pounds, J.D.C.
38:00So, Mark, I gotta get your take on the system from what you've seen.
38:04Ain't nobody better.
38:05I'm a big fan of stables throughout wrestling history.
38:08The Four Horse and the NWO, you name it, I saw them.
38:11And the system is as good as any of them.
38:14Strength in numbers, cohesiveness, being there, having each other's backs, they are just the whole package.
38:20I mean, you're right, they're there for each other.
38:24But, I mean, they only felt trouble for everyone here in TNA.
38:29Well, I can spell J.D.C., and they got his back.
38:33And I think that bodes well for him.
38:35The System believe that they're in the same conversation here in the history of TNA Wrestling
38:39as the likes of Fortune, Immortal, the Main Event Mafia.
38:44They've won multiple championships.
38:45They've been up and down as of late in the win-loss column, but there is strength in numbers.
38:51Yeah, I think so, too.
38:52I think they compare to anybody.
38:54And really, all those groups you said, they were up and down in the win-loss column.
38:58Nobody wins all the time, but the key is to win more than most.
39:01And the system definitely does that.
39:03So, before this match gets underway, Mark, you have to tell me how excited you are
39:07that Aaron Rodgers is your starting quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
39:10Well, I'll be excited if he stays healthy.
39:13I'll be a miracle.
39:14He's 41 years old, but I, he's one of the greatest quarterbacks ever.
39:17So, there's, he's gonna be an improvement for sure.
39:20Well, C.I. Ferris, this upcoming season.
39:23Right now, this is J.D.C. starting things off against Jack Price.
39:26Gia, what do you think about this matchup at first glance?
39:29Well, at first glance, I mean, we've already talked about it.
39:33The system, they have the strength in numbers, and that means that the numbers are against Jack Price.
39:41Drop kick right to the face there of J.D.C., Johnny Dango Curtis.
39:46Now, Price having some fun at the advantage of the system.
39:50Showing some moves of his own.
39:53Mark, when I saw you earlier on today, I didn't see the Hawaiian shirt,
39:56so I'm glad to see you busted it out.
39:58Well, this is a new one.
39:59Cover kick out.
40:01I, I, I've gained a little weight since back then.
40:05I'm glad you got a new one.
40:07And now, Curtis going to the eyes, going to the eyes.
40:11Match breaker by Johnny Dango Curtis.
40:14Here's the cover, hook to the leg, and a kick out.
40:17Now, we talk about the strength in numbers, but so far, it's just one on one, and J.D.C. has the edge.
40:22I don't even understand why they need the numbers if they're going to play dirty like that.
40:26Going for the eyes, it's just ridiculous.
40:28Series of neck breakers, cover, and a kick out.
40:31Ryan Myers talking trash.
40:33Myers, Edwards, Curtis, Alicia Edwards especially.
40:36They know their history, Mark. They knew you'd be here today.
40:38They'll all be in the TNA Hall of Fame someday.
40:41Hard to argue with that, honestly.
40:47One face lock here by J.D.C.
40:49Trying to control Jack Price.
40:51Right to the midsection.
40:54Collision of violence. That's what it's all about. That takes the edge.
41:00J.D.C. just taking his time.
41:04And, Mark, we, of course, are on the road to Slammiversary, one of our biggest events of the year.
41:08Unfortunately, won't be here in Pittsburgh, but it'll be at the home of the New York Islanders UBS Arena
41:13on Long Island, New York on Sunday, July 20th.
41:16What does it mean to you to see the success that TNA Wrestling has had working these bigger and bigger events?
41:22I think it's terrific.
41:23I think Slammiversary is tailor-made for New York City.
41:28And I can't wait to see. Here we go.
41:31Look to the leg.
41:32Oh, and Price got the shoulder up.
41:34The issue with an NXT star having the TNA World title, that has to be resolved.
41:39To me, that is front page center in any discussion when it comes to wrestling.
41:43Couldn't agree with you more on that.
41:45I think you're exactly right.
41:47Joe Hendry has to do whatever he can to get back to that TNA World Championship.
41:54And I think we're gonna see that happen.
41:57Yeah, don't underestimate Trent Williams, though.
41:59I know nobody does.
42:00He's got that gold for a reason.
42:02There are his knees right to the midsection.
42:04Oh, and Price, able to take down JDC.
42:11Now Price, making Curtis think.
42:14Oh, and got it on the counter.
42:17Showing that athleticism from the Black Diamond.
42:20Yeah, but go for the cover.
42:22Don't delay.
42:23Don't slow down.
42:24We're just going for some more.
42:25Oh, no.
42:26It's off the top.
42:27There's a little bit of evidence of the system, Mark.
42:29It was only a matter of time.
42:30And now JDC takes advantage.
42:35Yeah, but nothing illegal there.
42:37You're right.
42:38Oh!
42:39The distraction, however, created by Alicia Edwards.
42:45And now Curtis.
42:46Uh-oh!
42:47No, .
42:48Curtis.
42:49Oh!
42:50The air raid crash.
42:51Center of the ring.
42:52Cover.
42:54Jock up another win for the system.
42:56There you go.
42:57Business as usual, guys.
43:04Here is your winner, JDC!
43:09Take a look back here at the conclusion of this matchup.
43:12Johnny Dango Curtis with the help of the distraction from Alicia Edwards hitting this air raid crash on Jack Price and securing the victory.
43:22So, Mark, where would you recommend the system celebrates tonight in the Steel City?
43:26Well, everyone in Pittsburgh would say Primanti Brothers with the French fries on the sandwiches.
43:34It's a solid choice.
43:35I've been to Primanti Brothers.
43:36There was a time I would have said, I don't know, cheerleaders?
43:40But I've aged out, clearly.
43:41Oh, well, thank you all so much for joining us tonight on TNA Explosion.
43:46My regular broadcast colleague, Gia Miller and Mark Madden.
43:49You're gonna be back next week, aren't you?
43:51Right here on Explosion.
43:52That's the rumor.
43:53Well, looking forward to it.
43:54Thank you all so much for joining us tonight on Explosion.
43:57Your winner in our main event, Johnny Dango Curtis of the system.
44:11Ooh.
44:12That's who I want to know in yourroom, my god listens the link in the description,
44:13where we use the Grigir Deloge.
44:14Come here, all right?
44:15Now, I wanna enjoy the trip.
44:16Talk to you in the 1961 United Way.
44:17But I never can, I just appreciate it.
44:18I never enjoy the nursery.
44:18I know.
44:20Because of Douglas as an amazing result, I love you.
44:20What I see in the Russian century was clean.
44:22And yet, passage through the winter考 Week.
44:22So, we have a case that Lemon and
44:38I do not worry about you through this whole flare.
