Ultra-orthodox Jews protest at enlistment

Tens of thousands of ultra-orthodox Jews have surrounded the Israeli military draft office to protest at their members being added to enlistment for the first time. The ultra-orthodox do not work, follow religious studies and have large families, all of which require heavy subsidies. Until now they have also been exempt from military service.
