Elderly Italian couple commit suicide over economic plight

Italy's worsening poverty gap is being blamed for a triple tragedy. An elderly couple have committed suicide apparently because of their failure to make ends meet on 500 euros income a month.

Anna-Maria Sopranzi, 68 and her husband Romeo Dionisi, 62, are among thousands of sextagenarians left without any state pensions or benefits because of Italy's austerity measures.
