Exclusive: Air mishap averted over Lucknow airspace

Major air mishap was averted after a passenger plane came head on with Uttar Pradesh state government chopper, overLucknow airspace on Monday (Nov 12). The incident took place at Lucknow airport where an alert Indigo pilot spotted the chopper and went around the airport to land at the second time. The distance between the chopper and the flight was only 500 ft when the Indigo pilot spotted the chopper. Prime facie it appears that the pilot of the chopper did not follow the instructions.
