Flight mishap averted: Close shave for Air India passengers, tyre bursts and gets stuck - NewsX

An Air India pilot saved the day for168 passengers on the Imphal-Delhi flight late on Sunday when he made an emergency landing at Jaipur airport. During the emergency landing, one of the aircraft wings got damaged.
The incident occurred at around 9:30pm when flight AI 890 was diverted to the pink city after heavy fog in Delhi reduced visibility. However, by the time the aircraft entered Jaipur airspace, visibility there too had reduced to near-zero. With not enough fuel onboard to divert to another location, the pilot decided to land in Jaipur itself.
