Lebanese SNG operator wounded in Tripoli clashes

Hussein Nahleh, a satellite truck operator for international broadcaster Sky Arabia, recovers in hospital.

A bullet struck him when his vehicle was caught in gunfire in the ongoing clashes between Alawite and Sunni communities in Lebanon's northern city of Tripoli.

At least three people, including a Sunni Islamist commander, were killed there in the fifth day of the sporadic fighting.

Some fear the fighting is being fuelled by the conflict in neighbouring Syria, where Sunni Muslims form the backbone of the 17-month-old uprising against President Bashar al-Assad, part of the Alawite minority who are an offshoot of Shi'ite Islam.

Tripoli's fighting has been along the same sectarian lines.
