Russia's Putin marks 59th birth day

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has turned 59 - two weeks after he announced he would run for president again next year.

While the former KGB agent is adored by some sections of the Russian public, critics say he has rolled

back democracy and stifled free speech.
