The conflict in Syria is forcing ever more people to flee to neighbouring countries. The United Nations says at least 200 thousand people have been displaced.
Most of the refugees head for Jordan, where the UN has constructed a huge camp. Originally meant to take in 10 thousand people, it has now been expanded to house more than 130 thousand. The logistical challenges of providing aid for so many people in a desert environment are as huge as the conditions for the refugees themselves are tough. DW's Tania Krämer met some of the Syrians having to cope with the shocking upheaval in their lives and visited a hospital where exiled Syrian doctors treat injured countryfolk who have fled the violence at home.
