Germany has decided to phase out nuclear energy by 2022 and make up the shortfall with renewable energy sources. But the country is not keeping up with the timetable, as even the government has to concede. Two months ago, a new man took the helm at the environment ministry: Peter Altmaier of the Christian Democrats. Now it?s up to him to push the energy changeover ahead, though he?s well aware that is will not be easy.
