Syrians flee to Lebanon

Military sieges launched to quell anti-government demonstrations in some Syrian cities are forcing residents to cross the border into Lebanon.

Thousands of residents of the city of Telkalah and nearby town of Hillat have fled from the violence to the neighbouring country over the past two weeks. At least 27 civilians have been killed by security forces in just Telkalah over the last few days.

As Zein Khodr reports from northern Lebanon, many of the refugee seekers are women and children who fear for their family members still trapped in Telkalah.
