Euro Crisis - Fighting over the Fiscal Pact | People

Tough negotiations are underway in Germany as the federal and state governments try to reach an agreement with the opposition over the terms of the fiscal pact. The Social Democrats and Greens are demanding a growth package as well as a financial transaction tax. Chancellor Angela Merkel has her back against the wall as she needs opposition votes to pass the bill.
