Newfoundland born musician Brad Fillatre delves into uncharted territory as a solo artist, writing songs that have no place under a band or pseudonym but his own. The collection of heartfelt tracks on his debut release For Your Weakness reflect Fillatre's truth, life, love and loss over the last decade whilst tirelessly pursuing and perfecting his craft, and the profound consequences his art has brought in the form of both opportunity and defeat. Fillatre, now settled amongst the bustling Toronto cityscape, provides listeners an emotive auditory experience while remaining true to his core: resonating raw emotion, and blending the sounds of his east coast upbringing into the mix. Spectral vocal reverberations are layered with swooping electric guitar, muted bass and echoing percussive displays alongside the subtleties of Celtic instrumentation.
