And it's a phenomenon that's caught New York City and the US by storm... we're talking about NY Knicks basketball star Jeremy Lin. Now, Lin merchandise is flying off store shelves, and it seems that basketball fans just can't get enough of the Harvard educated player.
New York Knicks phenomenon Jeremy Lin has swept the basketball world off its feet with sales of his jersey on a huge surge in New York City.
With the point guard's outstanding play, the Knicks have now run their winning streak to seven games after drubbing the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday.
"I think he's fantastic. Somebody like that in sports comes along once in a lifetime."

"We had about three of these racks. Right now, we're down to about one."
The California native, who is the first Chinese-American in the NBA, has energized Madison Square Garden with the most recent winning streak giving fans tons to rave about.
Although Lin was not selected in the 2010 NBA Draft, the Harvard alum has averaged about 27 points, 8 assists and four rebounds in just the first four starts of his career.
"Linfatuation" is obvious, as not only is Lin merchandise in high demand, but ticket distributors are selling seats for twice more than the face value, with those prices expected to increase as the day of the games draw closer.
"I think he's great. I mean he did a spin move the other night. Everybody in my house just jumped up. People were standing on the coffee tables. So, I mean it's exciting and I don't know where he's been, but I'm glad he's on our side."
According to Madison Square Garden Inc., the owner of the Knicks, just this week company shares hit a record high because of the sudden emergence of the hoops star.
