Concordia survivors recall panic on ship

Survivors of the ship disaster in Italy are back home in the U.S.
Their loved ones, relieved to see them safe.
The horror is still fresh in the minds of these passengers.
Megan Mauri and her husband Robert were on honeymoon.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) MEGAN MAURI, PASSENGER ON THE STRICKEN COSTA CONCORDIA SHIP, SAYING:
"It just felt like the Titanic all over again. It was a very scary experience just seeing everybody panic the way they did. It just felt like you didn't know what to do and all your stuff is in your cabin and you lose everything. All my dresses are gone, everything is gone. We have nothing."
(SOUNDBITE) (English) ROBERT MAURI, PASSENGER ON THE STRICKEN COSTA CONCORDIA SHIP, SAYING:
"All we have is what's on our back. We ran back to the cabin and we knew we were in trouble when we were on the second deck and the toilet water was starting to -- the ship was tilting so bad that the toilet water was flowing out and into the hallway then we knew when I closed the cabin doors, right when they finally sounded the evacuation alarm."
This family from Albany was not able to save any of their belongings either. They said the ship crew was not well trained to handle such a disaster.
(SOUNDBITE) BRIAN AHO, PASSENGER ON THE STRICKEN COSTA CONCORDIA SHIP, SAYING:
"The lack of training for the staff, who were attempting to help us but they didn't even know how to use lifeboats."
The death toll now stands at 11, while 23 people are still missing, four days after Costa Concordia capsized off the Tuscan coast.
