Lily Cole reflects on the refugee food, shelter and livelihoods programme funded by Christian Aid and the Thailand Burma Border Consortium in one of nine refugee camps along the Thai-Burmese border. 145,000 refugees have sought safety in the camps since 1984 as the threat of violence, fighting and human rights abuses in eastern Burma continue to displace them from their homes.
