Students clash with police in Chile

Clashes resume in Chile.
Thousands of Chilean students took to the streets of Santiago Thursday in renewed anti-government protests demanding an overhaul of the country's education system.
Chile's student movement is demanding improved education standards, lower university fees, and a a constitutional amendment guaranteeing free education.
In early September President Sebastian Pinera met with student leaders in an effort to put an end to the protests that have seen students clashing with police on an almost daily basis.
Emboldened by the success of their protests some student leaders are reluctant to give much ground in negotiations with the government.
