Chilean students clash with police

Protesting students in Chile are sprayed with water cannon as clashes erupt once again with police.
Demonstrations in recent months by students demanding an overhaul of the education system have often turned the streets of Chilean cities into a battleground.
On Wednesday the location was outside Congress in the city of Valparaiso.
Protesters threw rocks and sticks at armoured vehicles as riot police fired tear gas towards demonstrators.
The students argue that the education system is profit-driven and not of a high enough standard.
They accuse unpopular President Sebastien Pinera - a billionaire businessman - of misspending public funds.
Talks between students and the government have repeatedly failed, most recently when a hike in education spending proposed by Pinera's administration was rejected.
