SPD state premier Kurt Beck has broken all the records. No one has held the office in Rheinland-Pfalz longer than the provincial politician has. On March 27, voters go the polls to elect a state parliament and state premier. Right now it looks as though Beck's CDU challenger Julia Klöckner barely has a chance against the long-reigning politician from Mainz.
