Rarely has a party plunged as drastically in public opinion as the FDP: from over 14 percent in the 2009 federal election to less than 5 percent.Alarm bells are ringing in the free-market party. Many members pinned the blame on party leader Guido Westerwelle, heralding a rough ride for the foreign minister at the FDP's traditional January 6th meeting.
