Somalia: war in Mogadishu

During the holy month of Ramadan, the al Shabaab Islamists launched another assault against the government in Mogadishu. Currently under siege, the Somalian capital is the scene of violent confrontations between Islamist rebels and African Union soldiers. Caught between the two sides, the local population is paying a heavy price in this war without end.
