Curfew Re-imposed in Indian Kashmir

A curfew has been re-imposed in Indian Kashmir on Tuesday. The Kashmir valley has seen its most heated anti-India protests since the late 1980s.
Fresh violence breaks out when New Delhi responds to one of the biggest anti-India demonstration in Kashmir. It comes a day after police opened fire on hundreds of stone-throwing protesters, killing at least two.
Security personnel patrolled the streets in Srinagar as roads remained deserted.
A local is shocked after finding out that a curfew has been re-imposed.

"This curfew was imposed without announcement. There are no vehicles on the road, I was searched three times on the road; my office also didn't provide a car. Some people on the road told me that an incident took place in Pattan. Three or four youths have died. Why is this curfew imposed in the city?"
Separatist strikes, curfews and security lockdowns have kept the Muslim-majority Kashmir Valley on edge.
