Haircuts underway with the U.S. Navy

Arabian Sea (Aug 29, 2010) Life at sea is very similar to life at home in many respects. For instance, haircuts happen in barbershops. Here, Sailors aboard the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman's (CVN 75) S-3 division of the supply department work in the ship's barbershop helping their shipmates maintain a clean military look. Haircuts are important for a variety of reasons which include good order and discipline, hygiene and proper fit and wear of safety equipment.
