Hassen Chalghoumi is the only imam in France to publicly support the government's plans to banning full facial veils. But he's paid a heavy price for that view.Chalghoumi has received death threats and his mosque in a north-eastern suburb of Paris has been stormed by extremists. But the imam won't be put off. He believes the burqa has nothing to do with faith, and instead robs women of their freedom. Chalghoumi espouses a republican Islam and has been highly-praised for his ecumenical work with France's Jewish community.
