00:00Previously on Project Runway, I'm back!
00:07I'm having a slight flashback because in my other season,
00:12it was also a team challenge, and I'm having a little PTSD.
00:16What's happening? I already need a martini. All right.
00:19In season 19, I left on episode one,
00:22but I'm very confident about what I made for this challenge.
00:26Literally, like, my intern could sew that in 30 minutes.
00:29I'm a Gemini. I take critiques very like,
00:31don't tell me what to do.
00:33That was the one that I'm using.
00:34Okay, well, I can use it too.
00:36BJ is in her own bubble.
00:39She's very standoffish.
00:40Which part of my start?
00:42This is my best-in-law.
00:43Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha.
00:45She's what we call in the business.
00:47A .
00:49Congratulations, Ethan.
00:51You're the winner of this challenge.
00:53Shut up!
00:54Casey, Joseph, and Antonio.
00:57You had the three bottom looks.
00:58Am I being punk?
01:00Ooh.
01:01Oh, he's spicy.
01:02I don't think there's any reason to be defensive.
01:04No, I'm not being defensive at all.
01:05Casey, it's very lackluster.
01:08And what you then wrapped around to me looks like an afterthought.
01:11Do we sit home with a bad dress or the bad attitude?
01:14Just very emotional.
01:16I can't believe this is happening again.
01:18You're so mean.
01:19I'm gonna know.
01:20Why am I here?
01:21I want to go home.
01:26A stake for the winner is $200,000, a spread in Elle magazine, and a life-changing mentorship
01:33with the CFDA.
01:34I can't believe it could happen again.
01:36It just feels like a bad joke.
01:37I can't go home.
01:38Like, I didn't get to show who I was as a designer.
01:41Let's prove to them that we'd make it to the end.
01:45My brother and I are supposed to make it to the end together.
02:11I can't believe I'm in the bottom.
02:13I might be going home.
02:15We're ready?
02:26Casey, Antonio, Joseph, we've made our decision.
02:38Joseph, you're safe.
02:42You can leave the runway.
02:45Thank you, Joseph.
02:52Casey, you had the most beautiful fabric, but it was evident you had unresolved design
02:59problems.
03:01Casey, I thought your dress was delicious, but your attitude was despicable.
03:08I love you.
03:09I love you.
03:09You're in.
03:10I love you.
03:12Casey, I'm in.
03:15I love you.
03:17I love you.
03:20Antonio, you're in.
03:30I'm sorry, it's okay.
03:37Keep it on your side.
03:39You can leave the runway.
03:41I'll work a bad attitude.
03:46Ah, Casey.
03:47I'm so sorry, but that means you're out.
03:50Yes.
03:51Oh my God, you're so sweet.
03:54I'm so grateful to have met you.
03:56Good luck.
04:01Bye, guys.
04:02Casey.
04:04Baby.
04:04Come here.
04:05I'm so glad I got to meet you guys.
04:07I'm like beyond shocked to be eliminated for this look.
04:10Casey.
04:11Yes.
04:11I know it's rough going on the first.
04:13It's hard.
04:14But you're so talented.
04:15That's why you're here.
04:16That's why you came back.
04:17Think about, hold that strong.
04:18Thank you, Christian.
04:20I'm going to send you the workroom, clean up your space, say goodbye to everybody, okay?
04:23Okay, thank you.
04:23And good luck.
04:24It feels harsh to leave this stage of the competition again.
04:28I definitely feel like I wish I could have shown more, but I still am really proud of it.
04:32Project Runway is an experience I will never forget.
04:37And I'm probably finished with as of now.
04:39All right.
04:47Come back, sit around.
04:49We're not done.
04:50Oh, my God.
04:51What?
04:51Christian, I don't know how much we can take today.
04:54Competition is very real now.
04:56You just saw it.
04:57Casey walked out the door.
04:58Goes quick.
05:00Ethan, congratulations.
05:02Woo!
05:03Woo!
05:03Thank you so much.
05:05I have something extra for you.
05:08Oh, jeez.
05:10Oh.
05:11What do you got, mama?
05:12Because you guys are going to continue to work in houses a little longer.
05:18Oh.
05:19What?
05:19As a winning designer in the next challenge, you're going to have an opportunity to swap a designer from a house.
05:29Oh.
05:30Christian Siriano really came in and was like, let me just drop a rock into this pond.
05:35Think on it.
05:37Like Heidi said, new house, new rules.
05:40Okay.
05:40You'll decide at the next challenge.
05:44The houses aren't over yet.
05:46Get ready for it.
05:48Bring it on.
05:49I think I know what I'm going to do.
05:51Things are about to get spicy.
05:59Ooh.
06:00Ooh.
06:01Some jump ropes.
06:03That Pilates ring in.
06:06Hey, guys.
06:07Guys, listen to this.
06:09Here's a gift.
06:10Put these on and meet me in the workroom.
06:13Christian.
06:14What?
06:14What?
06:15Let's go.
06:19That last challenge was a lot for me and Antonio.
06:23I think you are being defensive and also a little bit rude.
06:26Sorry if you hate the coat.
06:28I hate the whole look.
06:29But at the same time, Law, don't you worry.
06:31We're about to prove you so wrong.
06:33We're about to prove you so wrong.
06:34We're about to prove you so wrong.
06:34All right, everybody.
06:37Let's go to the workroom.
06:38Yes.
06:39Okay.
06:39Woo.
06:40Woo.
06:40My strategy about this switch is I really want to make sure I'm making the best decision
06:45for me.
06:46So do I get rid of Jesus, the boisterous one?
06:50All I have to do is prove him wrong.
06:52Or Vijay that is hard to work with.
06:56How's it going, Diva?
06:58This one.
06:59So, here's to the right choice.
07:03I like to shake it up and keep that body working.
07:07Yes.
07:07Oh.
07:08And class begins.
07:09Okay.
07:09All right.
07:10Come on.
07:11Get zen.
07:12Get comfortable.
07:13Get on your mat.
07:16I don't know any yoga poses.
07:18Does anybody know yoga poses?
07:19Okay.
07:20Come show me.
07:21Yoga is not my thing.
07:23I'm the type of person that gets really bored in the gym.
07:27Bend this knee.
07:27Yes.
07:28My workout is walking to that coffee shop and then enjoy people watching.
07:34That's my workout.
07:35I think I pulled something.
07:39So, you're going to continue to work in houses, Ethan.
07:43Remember, you have the power to swap a member of your house.
07:48I think I am going to do a swap.
07:51A swap.
07:53Uh-oh.
07:54If Ethan is smart enough, he's going to keep me because he knows
07:58what I'm capable of doing and he knows I'm a strong designer.
08:01I think he should get rid of Vijay because she has not been a team player and bring over
08:06Antonio.
08:06The pressure.
08:07The pressure is getting wussaps.
08:10So, I'm going to swap Jesus with Madeline.
08:21You messed up, honey.
08:32I hope you don't regret your decision.
08:34I have full confidence that you're going to kill it and I really want to see this dynamic happen because y'all have been claiming that y'all are a powerhouse together and I want to see it.
08:45Well, get ready.
08:46They are all talk.
08:48They run a store together, but I'd love to see this store close, baby.
08:53All right.
08:54All right.
08:55For this challenge, each house must create a cohesive activewear capsule collection where
09:02the collection goes from workout to the weekend with one of the hottest activewear companies,
09:08Calia.
09:09To give you guys some more insight into Calia, we have a special guest, vice president and
09:19head designer for Calia, Alicia Scott.
09:21So good to meet all of you.
09:29We created Calia about 10 years ago and really wanted to form a brand that is the perfect
09:35juxtaposition of fashion and femininity and function.
09:39And I love how you guys have all styled all your pieces you got today.
09:43Our entire collection is rooted in performance.
09:45If you're designing a look for Pilates or run, it needs to be able to function.
09:50We believe there's beauty in the burn.
09:52How's it going to work whenever she is doing a downward dog?
09:55Make sure that when you're designing a piece, it can be used for working out, going to grab
10:00coffee, going out to grab cocktails with your friends.
10:03It needs to be versatile.
10:04So not only has Calia provided look books, they've also provided all the fabrications
10:10for the challenge.
10:11Okay.
10:12That's not all.
10:13Calia is going to produce and sell the winning look from the winning collection.
10:20That would be so cool to have a Joseph McCray and Calia produce that.
10:25I feel like it would eat down.
10:26I love the idea of this like beauty in the burn.
10:30So what if we have like fire on the runway?
10:33Ooh.
10:34Like actual fire.
10:37So you'll have all of today and part of tomorrow to create your fire worthy collections.
10:43Don't you love a one day challenge?
10:45Yes.
10:46One day to do this as if there weren't enough stress already.
10:50The burn of it all.
10:51Bye.
10:52Bye.
10:53Bye.
10:55Ethan, you want to see what it's like when you put Antonio and I together?
11:02It's going to be game on and it's going to push me to even do better to beat him.
11:08And then he's going to realize that he up.
11:12Girl, whatever.
11:15What's our team?
11:20Wow.
11:21Team winner.
11:22Team winner.
11:23That's a good one.
11:24Team winning.
11:25No.
11:26It has something to do with fire.
11:28Team burn.
11:29I guess it's final answer.
11:31I'm glad I put together a strong team.
11:33I really wanted to equalize the energy of our group by putting all of the boisterous energies
11:40on one team.
11:41I want this one.
11:42I want this eight.
11:43I bet you're first.
11:44I'm actually very happy that Ethan let go Jesus because I don't want another drama.
11:52That was the one that I'm using.
11:54Well, I can use it too.
11:56And it could be hot to do the lines in the pop-up wrap.
12:01That's what I was thinking.
12:02So we'll all have the lines incorporated.
12:03Yes.
12:04Okay.
12:05Okay, guys, we need to start the cutting fabrics.
12:08I just want to be cohesive.
12:10I do like this color story situation going on over here.
12:13But we got to pick a group of fabrics and all go with it, you guys.
12:16Y'all go with it.
12:17We decided to call our team the House of Lotus because we wanted to feel the vent within the
12:22berm.
12:23And so coming off the last challenge, being in the bottom, our stickler was our cohesion.
12:29So as we're going through these fabrics that Kalia provided us, we're really paying attention
12:34to what color palette we want to do so that we really nail that cohesion this time.
12:39Because if we miss it two times in a row, we're going to be done for.
12:42I love this fabric.
12:44I was trying to get the colors out of this.
12:46This has all your colors.
12:48Once again, Antonio is choosing the fabric, and I'm getting a little anxious because the
12:55last time he chose fabric, we were in the bottom.
12:59Can y'all roll the tape back?
13:01The fabric that I brought from home is in pink.
13:03So let's have the inspiration of our collection be butterflies.
13:06That's the best one out of all of them.
13:08I think we should go with that.
13:09I don't like that.
13:10No?
13:11Mm-mm.
13:12You like this better?
13:13I mean, I like this.
13:14I don't like that either, but I mean.
13:16That's what I wanted to start with.
13:18Miss Joan, I want to know.
13:19It is what it is.
13:20Oh, is the drama already beginning?
13:23You know, working with the twins, you know, they're a whole vibe, but our looks have
13:27to be cohesive.
13:29I love Miss Joan, but she's a little, little old school and stuck in the back in the days.
13:35This fabric's so cool.
13:36It's just more young.
13:37I'll make it work.
13:43Don't use the fabric scissors, you nincompoop.
13:46I love Alex.
13:47I didn't expect this competition to become so connective so quickly.
13:52And me and Alex bonded so quickly.
13:54It's so soft.
13:55It's so cozy.
13:56Like, she's gonna be in it and be like, wow.
13:57I want it.
13:58I'm making a lounge sweatsuit with a corset bustier top.
14:04It all sprouted from trying to use the aspects of a kimono.
14:09I grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina, but my nana was a tailor from Nagasaki, Japan.
14:16So I find a lot of inspiration in what the Japanese call intangible cultural treasures.
14:23But my mama would say that I don't bring enough of the South with me.
14:29How are you feeling this week?
14:31Feeling great.
14:32It looks really cool.
14:33Thank you so much.
14:34I appreciate that.
14:35You are absolutely looking at the next winner of Project Runway.
14:39My design aesthetic is a combination of street wear and elegance.
14:45I want to win Project Runway for my daughter, Ava.
14:48It's right here.
14:49Having her change me as a person, it gave me so much more drive.
14:54And I do this all for her.
14:56So I have to make this stand out and hopefully wow the judges.
15:04Madeline, what informs your work?
15:06I'm trying to always like see things that I like about vintage fashion, but then giving it like my own little twist.
15:15What about yourself?
15:17I grew up in like a hoedunk farm town.
15:19I just felt inherently so different from the rest of my family.
15:22The only thing I could really do was, you know, rely on my own creativity and imagination to kind of distract me from, you know, feeling like it belonged there.
15:32Did they accept you as you are?
15:34Like, you know, when I finally did come out, they were like, we don't get it yet, but we just don't want to lose you.
15:42So we're going to try to figure this out.
15:45I feel really blessed to be able to have my family and my life.
15:49So it makes me want to really push myself to win this for them.
15:58Hello.
15:59Hey, Chris J.
16:00How's the team going?
16:02Let's go.
16:04I do think the silhouette of this skirt, you still have to figure out.
16:07Oh, Lord, this might send me home.
16:10I am a technical designer and I am a serious workaholic.
16:17My family is Jamaican and I've always been raised with all the elders around me doing multiple things.
16:23Even if it's not their job, they're going to figure out how to do it that day and do it.
16:27So I have to push myself because this workout weekend challenge is taking me out of my comfort zone.
16:33I really wanted to do something that was extremely comfortable.
16:37I think it feels a little too demure.
16:40I think I made the right decision.
16:42I was the one who fought to use this print because Mrs. Joan didn't like it.
16:47She still doesn't like it.
16:48Okay.
16:49So you did it again.
16:50You wanted a print again.
16:52Everybody wants this print?
16:56Groundbreaking this circle skirt.
16:59Yeah.
17:00Mm-hmm.
17:01I can cut a circle out right now and do this in 10 minutes.
17:03Really?
17:04Yeah.
17:05We're kind of not the exact same look from the last challenge.
17:10Mm-hmm.
17:11You're making a jacket and a skirt?
17:13A jacket and a skirt.
17:16Let me tell you a little something about Christian Seriano.
17:19Christian would come in the workroom like,
17:21Mm, are you sure about that?
17:24Or he'd be walking around like,
17:26Mm, okay.
17:27That little face be killing me with them glasses and that hair perfectly swapped into the side.
17:32The top being fabulous is very important here.
17:35You should develop this more because you already know you can make a cool jacket.
17:39I'm going to listen to Christian because I know I'm taking a risk,
17:42but I do not want to be in the bottom again.
17:44You got a lot to do.
17:45I got you.
17:46Okay.
17:47Let's get it.
17:49I'm kind of going for like that modern with a little bit of Tron.
17:52This sash doesn't do anything.
17:55She couldn't do any athletic things with this hanging.
17:59Mm.
18:02What are all these lines on this?
18:04So I kind of want to achieve this kind of like texture.
18:07All of these lines you're going to weave.
18:10The inspirations for this design is the Kalia logo.
18:13It's like a twisted string.
18:16It's like very dynamic.
18:18What are you doing?
18:19It's going to be like a more like athletic, fancy corset, bustier kind of thing.
18:28This makes no sense for an athletic look.
18:32That scares me.
18:33Athleisure specifically is not something that I normally do.
18:37Unfortunately, time is not on our side in this competition.
18:42Christian has his doubts about this corset, but we're sticking to our guns.
18:47Hmm.
18:48What are you doing?
18:49I am doing an oversized hoodie, which I'm thinking about cropping.
18:54I did the pin tuck in my hand.
18:56Mm-hmm.
18:57It's going to have the same pin tuck in all over the pants as well.
19:00Oh.
19:01So you're also doing a sweat.
19:03Oversized sweatpants.
19:04Oversized sweatpants.
19:05Oversized sweatpants in the same fabric.
19:08Is the pant wide like that wide?
19:10It's a wide.
19:11You haven't even looked at each other's stuff and she's right in front of you.
19:14Honestly, I really don't know much about what my team is doing.
19:18This is it.
19:19Yes.
19:20Looks very similar.
19:21I haven't looked at the other designers on my team.
19:24I've just been too focused.
19:25So we just have a wide pant off on the runway in the same fabric.
19:31What the ?
19:32Like, what am I going to do next?
19:33I need to think fast and pivot into some other different silhouette.
19:37If I don't succeed, I'm worried it might put me on the bottom.
19:47So I'm looking at Team Lotus and it does not fit the brief that we got.
19:51What's going on underneath?
19:52So it's going to be the pop out.
19:53So we both have mesh.
19:55Their looks are looking a little all over the place.
19:57I think that we're going to take this one home.
19:59I look at the other team.
20:01It's like crickets in that side of the room.
20:03No one's really talking to each other.
20:05And here we are, like, you know, blah, blah, blah.
20:08And then at night, she just puts a glove in, honey.
20:11Okay, this, do this.
20:12Like, we're helping each other.
20:14Yes.
20:15Yes.
20:16Ethan, I hate to tell you, but you will be the losing team.
20:20Are you ready? Let's go.
20:22Models, let's go.
20:23Woo!
20:24I'm sacrificing myself.
20:25I gotta go and get it.
20:26I don't want it.
20:27I don't want it.
20:28I don't want it.
20:29I don't want it.
20:30This very cool jacket with a pleated skirt.
20:33That's the top?
20:34I think so.
20:35So how does one do anything athletic in that top?
20:40Sure.
20:42I think I'm over here eating it up and it's just like, yeah, no.
20:46Are we playing tennis where you tie your arms up?
20:51If I don't come through with this bra, like, I feel like the whole look is going to go kaput.
20:56It's so different when I design on paper and design on you.
21:01You tread this pleated skirt.
21:03It's really short.
21:04I thought it was a mistake, but it's not a mistake.
21:08Because mama, I'm a slut.
21:11You decided?
21:12Yeah, yeah.
21:13I'm going to do some nice shorts and then the cargo pockets.
21:18That shoe?
21:19Are you nuts?
21:20What kind of shoe?
21:21Blah.
21:22Whoa, what?
21:23That he buying something.
21:25That tic-tac shoe.
21:28You have no side seam.
21:30Mm-mm.
21:31There's no side seam.
21:32Interesting.
21:34You can do that.
21:36Look at her butt.
21:37That's crazy.
21:38These pants are styled after a Japanese hakama pant where there aren't really side seams and all of the volume is put into pleats across the back.
21:49Since we're paying homage to my Japanese ancestress, it's really important for me to nail this look that I make.
21:58And I am feeling the pressure.
22:03Bye, models.
22:04Thank you so much.
22:06Hello?
22:07Oh, I have to take this.
22:08Sorry.
22:09You're going to be laughing when that little hem falls out.
22:11I'm going to tear it up.
22:13I'm feeling really good about my look.
22:15But what if your team doesn't?
22:17But after the model fitting, I'm feeling a little worried about my team.
22:21Alex has these grand ideas, but she is running out of time.
22:25And Angelo's work is looking a little simple.
22:27If Jesus kills it, then I lost a valuable player.
22:31I hope that I made the right decision.
22:36Guys, our muses are here.
22:38Look at this.
22:40All right, designers, send your models to the Ulta Beauty Salon.
22:45We got three hours to finish up these looks and send these girls down the runway.
22:49It's crunch time.
22:50Glowy, dewy kind of thing.
22:52I love it.
22:53Maybe something that's been like smudged a little bit.
22:56That's it right there.
22:57Bye.
22:58Bye, everybody.
22:59Have fun.
23:00Until next time.
23:01Is there a leader this time?
23:04No, because I think we don't want to have a leader technically, because we don't want to blame someone.
23:09The last team challenge, I think Jesus was acting as the leader because he talked a lot.
23:17But this time, we don't have a leader, so it's a mess.
23:21All right, five minutes, you guys.
23:23Five minutes.
23:24We're leaving this room.
23:25That's the back of the pant?
23:27Mm-hmm.
23:28Okay.
23:29Well, I know I ain't in the pant.
23:31I'm worried about Alex.
23:34She's looking not finished.
23:36Mm-mm-mm.
23:37Child.
23:39I mean, I got what?
23:40How many minutes?
23:41I am really concerned with how the top is turning out and the cut of the pant.
23:45Are there pockets?
23:47No.
23:48No.
23:49All right.
23:50But there's no more time and nothing else to do about it.
23:53All right, designers, that's it.
23:55That's time.
23:58Hello, designers.
24:04Welcome to the runway.
24:06As you know, in fashion, one day you're in, and the next day, you're out.
24:10For this challenge, we asked you to create a cohesive, active wear collection for Kalia,
24:15that goes from workout to weekend.
24:17You worked in teams, and you had only one day to create your collection.
24:21All right, let's meet our judges.
24:23CFDA award-winning stylist and image architect, La Roche.
24:27Editor in chief of Elle magazine, Nina Garcia.
24:33And our guest judge and co-owner of the fashion line favorite daughter, Sarah Foster.
24:40I'm so excited to see Ms. Sarah Foster.
24:43She has a really good head on her shoulders around how to make a woman feel beautiful and comfortable in the clothes.
24:48She's gorgeous.
24:49Okay, we're ready.
24:50Let's start the show.
24:51It's gonna be flaming hot.
24:53I wish I had a marshmallow.
24:56This got flammable hair now.
24:58Wait a minute.
24:59I told you it was gonna be hot, and I was not talking about Hans and Franz.
25:02I do feel like I have successfully captured the essence of this challenge
25:18with creating something that goes from workout to weekend.
25:22With the pin tucking, the silhouette, the styling's really good.
25:26I'm feeling really confident.
25:27Oh, she's a professional.
25:28You know, you know.
25:31Look at us now.
25:33I'm very proud of this look.
25:35My look looks very modern, sexy, and fun.
25:38And the red line on the jacket is everything.
25:41That is a short skirt, but she's got some good legs.
25:46Look at us now.
25:47Oh!
25:48Well, you're not here to come.
25:50I'm just looking at the outfit.
25:52It's not as bad as I expected it to be, but I know what's going on on the inside.
26:00This is fessy.
26:02Fessy.
26:03I'm not happy about it.
26:05It could have been worse.
26:06It could have also been better.
26:08I like that.
26:09I would wear that.
26:10You're very generous.
26:11Oh, no.
26:16With my athleisure look, I'm feeling pretty satisfied.
26:19I like it.
26:20I think it's cute.
26:21It's nothing, like, really shocking.
26:24But I am just elated that the athleisure challenge is in the past.
26:28She's got it.
26:34She looks amazing.
26:35I've worked hard to achieve that details that those string woven by hand.
26:41I cut all those holes individually.
26:43It takes a lot of work to create that textile.
26:45I want to make sure that every piece that I make is a labor of love.
26:50I don't get that curly hair with that.
26:55With that side fin, it's flowing down the runway.
26:58It's got movement.
27:00Oh, it looks so good.
27:03I would wear that now.
27:04I may have slayed a little bit too hard this week, so I'm hoping that it can pull this team through to the win.
27:10This look, it's very universal.
27:13This girl can do Pilates and then put some heels on, put a jacket on, and go have a cocktail with a girl just at night.
27:20I'm proud of myself.
27:21It would mean a lot to win this challenge and have that collab with Kalia.
27:25I'm happy with how this look turned out.
27:38I feel like it's me.
27:39And I'm starting to be more confident in what I'm designing and believe whatever I'm creating is good.
27:49I see my look coming down the runway and I'm thinking, okay, yes.
27:53Even though I didn't choose this fabric, I was able to be a team player.
27:58And I think that she looks fabulous.
28:00I love the drama.
28:02This is the future.
28:03You better own it.
28:04I nailed it.
28:06Oh, no.
28:07Oh, my God.
28:09This is the moment.
28:10He records.
28:12They gonna watch me now.
28:14Well, we know who that is.
28:18My model is looking so everything.
28:21And then she unzipsed this jacket.
28:23And it's just like, oh, welcome to the party.
28:26Bring out the tatas.
28:28I took a risk with almost recreating my previous look.
28:31And I hope this paid off.
28:39That's my girl.
28:40Wow.
28:41Like, I'm just literally getting chills.
28:43The way she's walking, the way that the pants are moving, how powerful she looks.
28:47I'm feeling great.
28:50I could definitely see this in stores and see a lot of people wanting these pants, wanting this bomber, even the bag.
28:55I love this.
28:57Our team, everything was executed beautifully.
29:00And I think that that showed on the runway.
29:02We did go.
29:03Good.
29:04We did it.
29:05I am not worried about myself.
29:06But it's hard to tell, you know, it's two different vibes.
29:10So I hope that the switch doesn't come back to bite me in the butt.
29:13Hello.
29:14Hello.
29:15Hello.
29:16Hello.
29:17Bravo.
29:18That was a show worthy of fire.
29:20Congrats to all of you.
29:22We have scored your designs in one house, ran circles around the other.
29:28Antonio.
29:29Joan.
29:30Yes.
29:31Joseph.
29:32Jesus.
29:33And Polania.
29:34You are the winning house.
29:36Yes.
29:37Yes.
29:38Yes.
29:39Yes.
29:40Yes.
29:41Alex, Angelo, Madeline, Eugene, BJ, and Ethan.
29:56You are our least favorite collection.
29:59Damn.
30:00We're going to talk to you later and you can leave the runway.
30:03Damn it.
30:05My squad being in the bottom, that's unfortunate.
30:09I don't know what happened.
30:13I don't get it.
30:14We just clearly took two different directions, team-wise.
30:18Chips fall where they may, right?
30:21This challenge meant a lot to me.
30:23I just got in my head.
30:25I just hope that I get to stay.
30:30Congratulations.
30:31What we really liked about your collection is that there was a cohesion.
30:35Thank you so much.
30:36Thank you so much.
30:37All right.
30:38We would like to talk to the designers that were our three favorite looks.
30:41And that is you, Joseph.
30:43Bolania.
30:44Oh.
30:45Yeah.
30:46And you, Jesus.
30:48So that means Joan.
30:49Yes.
30:50And Antonio.
30:51You're safe.
30:52But I do have to tell you, Antonio, we all thought that yours was our least favorite
30:58in the winning team.
30:59Thank you so much.
31:00You can leave the runway.
31:01Nice meeting you guys.
31:02Bye.
31:03My brother's in the top again for the second week.
31:04I thought my look was really good.
31:05I want to be on top.
31:06It sucks.
31:07So I am just ready to prove these judges wrong.
31:08All right.
31:09Let's bring out your models.
31:10Come on, girls.
31:11Yes.
31:12What's up, Oscar?
31:13We did it.
31:14We're going to start with the designer where we didn't have to guess a whole lot who made
31:27it.
31:28And that is Joseph.
31:29Without a doubt, when we saw her walk down the runway, we knew it was you.
31:33And I think she could actually work out in this because of her little shorts under.
31:37Oh, surprise.
31:38Surprise.
31:39Yay.
31:40And she can throw on a pump or a heel and go straight to the weekend, which that was the
31:45challenge.
31:46Thank you so much.
31:47I would wear that jacket to the gym, but then I'd also wear it to dinner that night with
31:50a pair of jeans.
31:51I'm into you.
31:52I don't know how else I can say it.
31:54I mean, I was into all of it.
31:56I like your look too.
31:57I like her vibe.
31:58It stands out.
31:59It's memorable.
32:00To me, she's badass and flirty at the same time.
32:02Thank you, Joseph.
32:03Thank you so much, everyone.
32:05All right.
32:06Belania, you're next.
32:07Oh, Lauren.
32:08I really love the work that you did on this top.
32:12I think it's really beautiful.
32:14I love all the detail that you made with the pockets.
32:20Correct.
32:21And I love the fact that you considered an option.
32:24She can be reserved with the turtleneck and she can be super sexy without it.
32:29Yep.
32:30I mean, I like that fabric, as you can see.
32:31The detail of the skirt is really cool.
32:35And it's a flattering waistband.
32:37Waistbands can go very unflattering very easily.
32:41Whatever it is, I like it.
32:44All right.
32:45That leaves us with Jesus.
32:46Jesus, I have to say this.
32:48You have done something that a lot of people cannot do.
32:52And that is to shut me up.
32:55Wow.
32:56I was so tough on you on the runway.
32:58And you were in the winning group and I was still tough on you on the runway.
33:02I actually hated her look.
33:03She doesn't look cool.
33:04She doesn't look young.
33:05I think this is so versatile.
33:08I think that a girl could really work out with this.
33:10And sellable, too.
33:11Yeah.
33:12Really sellable.
33:13Work out with it and then wear it out on the weekend.
33:15I would wear those pants in a heartbeat.
33:17The pant, it turns into a straight leg pant.
33:20She could wear it like this.
33:21Great.
33:22I mean, she could open up a little.
33:23Well done on that.
33:24It's great.
33:25Fabulous.
33:26Chic and effortless.
33:28Mm-hmm.
33:29What I also love is the detail.
33:31The fact that you thought about the zipper on the side.
33:34Can you turn around?
33:35And that little pocket.
33:36The little pocket.
33:37The little pocket.
33:38The little pocket.
33:39With that little black detail.
33:41Those details all matter.
33:42Yeah.
33:43Right?
33:44Yeah.
33:45Thank you, Nina.
33:46I want to be this girl that would wear this.
33:47Thank you so much.
33:48But now is the moment of truth.
33:52They can only be one winner.
33:57And Jesus, it's you.
33:58You were our favorite look.
33:59Congratulations.
34:00Oh, he's crying.
34:02Don't be hiding those tears.
34:03I want to see them.
34:06Those are tears of joy.
34:08Yeah.
34:09Not only are you the winner.
34:11That's crazy.
34:12But that also means that Kalia will also produce and sell your look.
34:16And I'm going to buy it.
34:17Me too.
34:18I love it.
34:19Congratulations.
34:20We're all going to wear it.
34:21We're all going to wear it.
34:22Wow.
34:23Thank you guys so much.
34:24All right.
34:25You can leave the runway.
34:27Oh my gosh, we did it.
34:28Ethan, you got rid of me and I prove you wrong.
34:31I truly believe that if I would have stayed in his team, we would have won again.
34:36We won.
34:37I won.
34:38Woo!
34:39Woo!
34:40When I came on Project Runway 15 years ago, I was so young.
34:45I wasn't really out of the closet at that time.
34:48And I didn't know who I was as a designer.
34:50And now coming back, I am a loud gay queer boy.
34:54So to win the challenge and do this collab with Kalia, it just reassured my purpose of why I'm here.
35:00To create really amazing stuff and to be on top.
35:08Unfortunately, you were our least favorite collection.
35:13Ethan, your team, you.
35:20Unfortunately, you were our least favorite collection.
35:23Ethan, your team, you.
35:26Ethan, tell us, why do you think you guys are up here?
35:31Yeah, I think it's, I think we did a great job.
35:36I think you did a great job.
35:38Oh.
35:39You had my favorite piece.
35:41I agree.
35:42So modern.
35:44Do you regret switching one person out?
35:47I, I don't want to say I shot myself in the foot because I love our team.
35:52I don't believe you.
35:55I think you knew that you had a great look and you didn't give a about the other people on the team.
36:01Damn.
36:02All right, Alex, Angelo, and BJ, you are our least favorite looks.
36:08That means Eugene, Ethan, and Madeline.
36:11You're safe. You can leave the runway.
36:18All right, BJ, let's start with you.
36:20Let's start with the positives because there is a positive here.
36:23The silhouette, I think, is nice.
36:24I like the length.
36:25I like that it's not a midi and it's not a mini.
36:27I think that's versatile.
36:28A lot of people can wear that.
36:30It's just really, that's the, that's all I liked about it.
36:32You guys like the ties?
36:34I love the ties.
36:35Dangling?
36:36I think it kind of looks like a tampon.
36:37I think, oh.
36:39I mean, this is, this is unwearable.
36:41I also don't understand this girl.
36:43I think the work that you've done, I think it's quite beautiful.
36:46But it doesn't scream active wear to me at all.
36:49Like, I don't get it.
36:50That's the problem.
36:51That's the problem, yeah.
36:52You needed to make this a top, a pair of black leggings, and call it a day.
36:59And you would have had a hit.
37:01This didn't need to be a cocktail dress.
37:03Out of context.
37:04All right, Angelo, let's hear about your look.
37:07Um, I designed men's street wear, so I just wanted to stay true to myself.
37:12I think where you have to be careful, Angelo, is that it felt to me a little safe and boring.
37:20You really need to bring in a sense of drama.
37:24Step it up.
37:25Listen, I'm a basic bitch, so I love sweats.
37:28I think this is cool.
37:29I like this.
37:30It's different, you know what I mean?
37:31It's not for me, but I appreciate that you added that detail on sweats.
37:35I think it's really well made.
37:38It's just that there was no showmanship to it.
37:40Yeah.
37:41You know, I think that's where you fell flat.
37:42Okay, thank you.
37:44All right, Alex, tell us about your look.
37:46So quite a few of my pieces are also inspired by kimonos.
37:50I incorporate into the way that I create different pieces.
37:53Is that part of your heritage to kimono?
37:55Yes, my grandmother was Japanese.
37:57Okay.
37:58So I go to the sauna a lot, and I love a corset.
38:02I don't care what the situation is.
38:04At the sauna.
38:05Well, obviously, you're not going to wear a corset in the sauna, but post-sauna, you can...
38:09But you gave her a corset.
38:11She doesn't look comfortable at all.
38:13She can't work out in this.
38:15Guys, the story has to match.
38:17You cannot piss on me and tell me it's raining.
38:20I'm sorry.
38:21Okay, well, the corset, you're right.
38:22But the pant and the sweater top, I did like.
38:25I liked the movement coming down the runway.
38:27I don't know what it was coming down.
38:28I was like, oh, it looks kind of like Laura Piana vibes.
38:30Laura Piana vibes.
38:31Come on, guys.
38:33Turn around, please.
38:34No.
38:35Do you see the seam of the pant when she turns around?
38:39There's the puckering.
38:40Yeah, it is a struggle in the back.
38:42There's a little bit of a problem with this bib that falls from the corset.
38:47I think there's too many ideas put in.
38:49The flap in the front, the flaps down the arms.
38:51The flap on the sleeve.
38:52She's playing homage to her heritage and, you know.
38:54Yes, I love that.
38:55But I don't see that in the look at all.
38:57No.
38:58All right, there's a lot for us to talk about.
39:00You can leave the runway.
39:07Let's talk about Angelo.
39:08It is a tough competition to be in if you're that much of a minimalist.
39:13Because this is a show and you're competing with people that are going to razzle dazzle.
39:18You have to remember you are in a competition.
39:20You have to remember that.
39:21Give us a show.
39:25Vijay's look was actually really good.
39:27I hated it.
39:28The ties were insane.
39:30I thought the dress was really well made.
39:33It was just out of context.
39:34Yes, I would buy that.
39:35It was the wrong story.
39:37The sneakers with it is for me the worst.
39:39Yeah.
39:40She has to really watch out for her styling because I don't think she's got it together.
39:45And it's, as we all know, a full polish look that has to come down.
39:49Yeah.
39:50It may not be at leisure wear, but I hope that the judges will appreciate the hard work that I put in that dress.
39:58Alex's was an eyesore.
39:59The execution was really poor.
40:01And frankly, I also thought her styling was bad.
40:04Yeah.
40:05That is a top.
40:06I could work with that, like with jeans.
40:08And I literally can't work with any, any of it.
40:11I do not want to be part of a judging panel where everybody gets a trophy.
40:15It was really bad.
40:16It was bad.
40:17I agree.
40:18I'm not ready to go home this early in the game.
40:21I want my daughter to see her dad give it his all to achieve the dream of becoming the next big thing in fashion.
40:29It has been so much fun.
40:30I'm so pissed though.
40:32It's disappointing knowing what you have to offer and not doing that.
40:40I just hope that I have the chance to show people what I bring to the table as a creative.
40:46Oh, God.
40:47My girl, Alex, she's in the bottom.
40:52I wonder if things would have been different if I kept Jesus and next Vijay.
40:57Maybe I should have been more of a leader.
40:59There's a part of me that's thinking that this is because of me.
41:03One mistake can send you home.
41:06Project Runway is, I know it's going to change my life for the better.
41:15I just hope that the judges will give me another chance.
41:20Next time on Project Runway.
41:22I think we're going to blow it up.
41:24Ethan and Jesus, you'll be picking your houses.
41:28I always wanted to start my own house.
41:30Each house must show that boring can be brilliant.
41:34Sofia Vergara will wear the winning look.
41:38What is all that?
