00:00We're predominantly Agilevra-based, have been Agilevra-blood since 1986, but in the last 15 years we've introduced some West Whale blood, and then especially in the last 12 years we've introduced Landane in Dunbargan.
00:18We're seeing a fair bit of difference in our sheep, especially when they're getting a close start, bringing that new blood in, the hybrid bigger, sweetened our wools.
00:29And then I run Merino and First Cross ewes, which I breed out of my Merinos, and I turn these off Canola each year, about this time, they're four months old, and I'm just looking to get the little feedback I can how to improve my Merino.
00:45These boys haven't hit their first birthday yet, August, September, Alabama.
00:51As I put a team in trial, I had a team probably 15 years ago, I was playing around the SRS lines, and it didn't go so well, so I've changed the Hazeland bloodline.
01:02I've been there for about 10 years, and just wanted to put a team into Venture MarketNet and see how they compare to the other industry teams.
01:13I'm also really interested to see how they compare against the contact breeding operations, like a field, etc.
01:25Also, I buy about half of my rams out of the patient and ram sale, the other half I pick out of the flock selection.
01:33So it'll be quite interesting to see how some of the fellows that spend more money on rams than I do, how they compare in the long run.
01:41So, it's the wool side that I'm really interested in this day.
01:45Obviously, the kill that happens tomorrow will be also very interesting.
01:51You know what that happens?
01:53Well, I've got the wool guys, the guy from May.
