00:16I am Dan Driscoll, Secretary of the United States Army.

00:20I and the administration, President Trump, could not be more proud of them.

00:24They are everything that is good about this nation.

00:27They are the best among us in our country.

00:30They are the best among us in the Army.

00:32They acted in a way that I think all of us hoped we would under fire, but they did.

00:37And so we are just so incredibly proud of them.

00:40We are so grateful for them.

00:42And one of the things we told them and their colleagues is that we will stand with them

00:46as long as we need to to get them back where they need to be.

00:50We are so grateful for this community and all that it does for our soldiers and their families.

00:56The investigation is ongoing.

00:57I imagine a lot of the questions we'll take will be related to that.

01:00We will not be able to answer some of those questions, but we are going to do a deep, hard

01:05investigation.

01:06The findings will be transparent.

01:08They will be released to the American public.

01:10We commit to you that anything we discover during the investigation that can make this

01:15base and other bases like it safer, we will act on as quickly as possible.
