00:07to tell the news, to talk to fans, and our band, who is also a fan, would not lose the chance

00:13to exchange ideas with her, right? Let's put this one in the morning?

00:16I'm feeling a Spice Girl, because look who is on my side! Melanie C! Hi, welcome to Brazil!

00:32Thank you so much!

00:34So how has it been so far? It took you so long to come here.

00:36It's been amazing. I wish I hadn't left it this long, but maybe that's one of the reasons

00:43why it has just been so incredible and overwhelming. I've just had so much love and affection. It's been great.

01:00And actually, you've been to Brazil with the Spice Girls like 20 years ago for a quick visit, right?

01:06In Manaus. What do you remember from that time?

01:08It was very rushed. We weren't here very long at all. And it was kind of in the middle of all the

01:14craziness. It was so hectic. But I remember because we were down on the Amazon and we stayed on a boat

01:19one night and we met lots of fans. But yes, 20 years ago, it's such a long time. So it's so wonderful

01:26to come back and really appreciate the fans and your beautiful country.

01:43After the Spice Girls stopped singing together, you kept with the good work and you're arriving on your

01:48seventh album, right? A version of me. What can you tell us about this new record?

01:53Well, this album is more electronic. Oh, we've got it. Should we share it?

01:57This one. That's me. You can't see my face. But yeah, this one is more electronic than things I've

02:03done in the past. And I'll always be a pop artist. I love to write pop songs and perform that style

02:09of music. But it was really fun listening to a lot of music that's in the charts today. Stuff like EDM,

02:15you know, DJs like Calvin Harris and DJ Snake. And I love artists like Murr and Jack Garrett.

02:20And it was just, I found it really interesting to try and, you know, just play with my sound

02:26and make it more modern. And I'm really pleased with the results. It sounds great.

02:30Let's talk a little bit about the Spice Girls because it was such a huge worldwide success.

02:42Over 70 million the albums sold and many songs that became huge hits. And you reunited,

02:50right? Like in 2007 and 2012 for the London Games. And after that, like you, you were not there,

02:59but there was a new reunion celebrating the 20 years of Wannabe. So I would ask,

03:05what about these two reunions? You were there. Why did you decide to do it? And why did you not

03:10decide to be on the last one? Well, I never thought that we'd reunite ever. I think, you know,

03:16we had such an amazing time and we all went off and did our own things and we're all still friends,

03:21but we have our own families and our careers and, you know, everyone's really busy. Some

03:26people live in different countries and all of these things. But then in 2007, we got it together

03:31and it was amazing. And then the Olympics in London 2012 was just incredible. Like one of my finest

03:39Spice Girl moments. And we were all five of us together. When we were celebrating Wannabe's

03:4620th anniversary last year and Melanie, Emma, Jerry and I got together and we talked about doing

03:52something, but I just didn't feel like it was right with somebody missing, you know,

03:57because Victoria didn't want to do it quite understandably. She's very busy with her fashion

04:02business. So I decided that I would rather not do it unless it was all five.

04:09Last time that we had this conversation, I decided we should be friends.

04:16So Mel, now we have our challenge. Like it's a memory challenge. I'm going to ask you about a few

04:22details of video clips you have already recorded and let's see what can you still get it. Okay?

04:28Yeah. So let's go to the first one and the video clip is I turn to you. Okay?

04:33You're like in a beautiful beach in a party, right? And at some point you go swimming. Yeah.

04:38And I want to know the color of your bikinis. My bikini is black, I think.

04:42Ah, so easy. So easy. But it's such a beautiful place. Where was that?

04:47Ibiza. Ibiza, the party island, the white island, yeah.

04:50Yeah, you probably had a good time recording that one, right?

04:54We weren't there very long. With work, it's always like in, out, gone, you know. But it's a beautiful place.

05:07So the other one, the next one, is Never Be The Same Again. And you have a bonsai tree at some

05:12point that side by side with some glasses. How many do you have there? I think there's three glasses.

05:18Yeah, she's so good. She's too good.

05:26What about, think about it, you have like so many costumes change and I want to know how many,

05:33how many clothes you were on that video? Oh my gosh, I don't know. 75 pieces. I'm making it up.

05:40No, actually, there are only four. Oh, wow. I have never mind.

05:43My heart beats my head and I'm letting it take me over. I gotta keep going, can't stop,

05:54can't sleep, cause tomorrow I'll be sober. You only regret what you don't do. Why don't we do what...

06:09First one, the very beginning. Yeah. So there's a moment that you're like dancing over the table,

06:16right? And after that, there's a blonde lady drinking wine and she has a feather. And I want

06:23to know how is she dressed? She has a dress and gloves and what are the colors? I think her dress is...

06:32I want to say green. No? I think... I know she... White gloves? Almost there. Cream gloves?

06:45Actually, the gloves are black, but the dress... Yeah, is white. Yeah! She helped me out a lot there,

07:05like, victoriously. So, first day of my life, you have a guy playing an instrument in the middle of the
