00:00We're here in West Brom and we're with Yanni. Thank you. Hello, sir. Hello. Well, I'm guessing this
00:06gathering's got something to do with bikes. Yes, definitely. So what's the challenge you've just
00:12completed, Yanni? We did 350 miles bike ride from Scotland all the way to Birmingham. Wow,
00:19that's crazy. And it's finished here today, yeah? Yes, we finished here today. So what time period
00:24have you given yourself to do that ride? We start off on Thursday. Yeah, yeah. So the first day we
00:29from Edinburgh to Newcastle, which is 120 miles. Yeah. And 6-7,000 feet climbing. Then from Newcastle
00:37the next day, after doing 120 miles, the next day we did another 100 miles. Yeah. From Newcastle to
00:42Leeds in Yorkshire. And yesterday, were you riding yesterday as well then? Yes. And then the third
00:48day we did from Newcastle to Leeds and then Leeds to Dubby. Yeah, yeah. And today from Dubby we came
00:54to Sand Valley in West Brom. Well, because, you know, we've had some warm weather as well, haven't we?
00:58And that's the last thing you want when you're doing 100-odd miles. Yeah. Because some places
01:01say 20%, 50%, 60% will rain. Yeah. But you don't want it too warm, do you, when you're doing
01:07the, you know what I mean? Yeah, but otherwise the weather was not too warm. Yeah. It did not
01:10rain. It went on very, very soon. Yeah, yeah. So, I mean, it's a fantastic bit of kit. Look
01:15at that. And raising money for charity, are you? Yes. This is a sick health line. Aha. Okay. The charity
01:21help people in mental health, alcohol, drugs. Yeah. Domestic violence, depression, any kind
01:28of issues they face in the community. Sometimes they don't know who to turn to, so we've got
01:32a confidential health line. Yeah, yeah. And they can call us, we listen to whatever issues
01:37they're going through. Yeah. And we've got a good network for a lot of different organisations
01:41and we give them help and support. And how much are you hoping to raise in total? We're hoping
01:46to raise about 20,000. Wow. At the moment, we are at, I think, 13,000. Yeah, yeah. So
01:51there's another 7,000. Yeah, yeah. So in the coming months, we'll see how it goes. Yeah.
01:56And how many people took part in the ride? About 22 riders. From all over the Midlands,
02:02all over the country? Yeah, all over the country. We've got people from London,
02:05Aelford. Yeah, yeah. People from part of the country that came and joined us the ride.
02:10So, are you sick of the sight of bikes now? Are you going to put yours away in the garage? No,
02:15another 100 miles. Yeah, you love it. Yeah, yeah. I enjoy it. So before you were getting ready
02:20for this challenge, has cycling always been a big part of your life sort of thing? I do cycle,
02:25but not as a big, big distance the way we started doing. Yeah, yeah. But to do like now
02:31these 350 miles. Yeah. To do these 350 miles, the last 6 to 7 months, I started doing 50 miles,
02:38100 miles, 50 miles every week. Yeah, yeah. To keep up the momentum so that I'm ready for 350.
02:44And any close calls with the cars and the traffic on the journey? Any injuries?
02:49No. This year, with God grace, everything was very smooth. Yeah. Not a single injury. Good.
02:55We had two punctures. Yeah, yeah. And the rest, the whole journey went on very smoothly.
02:59Right. So, well done. It sounds like a great charity and a worthy cause. Well done, sir. Well done.
03:04Yes. Like I always tell people, sometimes you can go to the gym and do exercise. Yeah, yeah.
03:08But this exercise, you're doing also for yourself. Yeah. And you're also doing for a good cause.
03:13Yeah, yeah. And of course, that's part of the Sikh kind of ethos, isn't it really?
03:17Yes. To help others and do work for a child or two. Yeah, help others, yeah.
03:20Help others, yeah. It's open to anyone and everyone. Yeah, yeah.
03:22If you don't, sometimes we get called, it doesn't really matter if someone's going through domestic violence or mental health.
03:29Yeah. Or mental health. That time, religion doesn't really matter. Yeah.
03:32It's the person who we need to help and support. Yeah, yeah.
03:34That is very important for the Sikh health line. Awesome work. Well, thank you, sir. Well done. Thank you. Well done.
03:39Thank you. Well done.
