00:00It has been announced by the Mayor of the West Midlands Richard Parker that a

00:04free bus service will be in place across New Year's Day. It follows on from the

00:09success of the Christmas offer that was made by Transport for West Midlands and

00:13the West Midlands Combined Authority and the details say that Mr. Parker has

00:17launched the offer to encourage people to leave the car at home and avoid the

00:22stress and expense of driving and parking during the busy holiday period.

00:25It means everyone across the region can leave the car at home so for free to see

00:29friends. This will take place across New Year's Day across all services some

00:33services may end early but that's what's in place.
