00:00Well Scott, there's a way to win a football game and then there's a bit of drama to get.
00:05It's certainly not good for the heart.
00:06First and foremost, I'd like to pay massive credit to Blackburn Rivers Football Club.
00:10An incredible team with so many talented boys and what a game.
00:15I mean, we went in at 2-0 down at halftime.
00:17Somewhat a nervy first half, never really got going.
00:21Tried to press, we were a little deep at times.
00:24But at halftime we just asked them to come out, leave everything on the pitch, no regrets.
00:27And I think they've done it on some because what a performance second half, it was incredible.
00:32Some fantastic penalties by both teams as well and then your goalkeeper steps up to the mark.
00:36Jonas Henderson, yes, he did.
00:38And he's done it a few times now for us.
00:40He's an incredible boy, incredible goalkeeper, big future ahead of him.
00:44But every penalty taker that steps up shows real courage.
00:48It's not easy taking a penalty for both sides.
00:52And all players that took a penalty, I applaud them because it's certainly not easy.
00:56Glenn Ferguson, certainly known, knew how to hit a penalty.
00:59I've seen he was here, did he say anything to the players before the showdown?
01:01He always does.
01:03He's a massive support to everybody.
01:04He's obviously a Linfield legend.
01:06He's a real friend of mine and a role model.
01:08And he just said, boys, whatever happens, win, lose or draw, we're very, very proud of them.
01:11They've done our club so, so proud.
01:16And yeah, it was just real support, real encouragement.
01:18And yeah, I'm thankful we went over the line.
01:20Can I ask you about the couple of lads that have broken their wrists?
01:22I've seen them the other day.
01:23I think the Bushmills people here have given them a wee token of a gesture.
01:27How are they?
01:28Well, first and foremost, it actually happened here on Monday, which is a bit of a surreal moment.
01:34So Lucas Moore, our centre forward, and Aaron Duffy, both went down.
01:39And yeah, one broke their right wrist, one broke their left wrist.
01:44But they're in good spirits.
01:45They've been a part of our group.
01:46They returned from hospital.
01:48Thank you to Bushmills for their really, really nice gesture.
01:52And they're our 18th and 19th man.
01:54And we're so proud of them for how they've responded.
01:57They've shown real resilience.
01:58They've rallied around the boys.
01:59And to be fair, they've given us that extra 10% because it's a real motivator.
02:03I'd also like to pay credit to our captain, Aaron Lavery, as well.
02:06He was starting today, but pulled up in the warm-up.
02:08And unfortunately, he couldn't play.
02:09So we've had our ups and downs this week.
02:12But this is a special moment.
02:13I see you're wearing a red T-shirt and you'll be playing the Reds, Cliftonville, in the final tomorrow.
02:18Will there be much sleep tonight for the boys?
02:20Well, there will be for them.
02:21I'm not sure about me.
02:23But look, we go.
02:24We prepare.
02:24We have a few sore bodies there.
02:26But Cliftonville, a great club.
02:28Great team.
02:29They're in our league.
02:31And it will be competitive.
02:32It'll be a great game.
02:33They're a good side.
02:34Coats really well.
02:35Cairn O'Connor's a really good guy.
02:38So it's something we'll look forward to and try and prepare the best we can.
02:41Thanks very much.
02:43Appreciate that.
