00:00I had no intention of getting arrested.
00:19Is that a raccoon?
00:20Yes, sir. Put your shirt on, please.
00:23Stop.
00:24Holy shit!
00:25Stop!
00:27I'm the door!
00:27Did I do this?
00:29I did this.
00:30This is so weird.
00:31What?
00:32Get this body started.
00:38You are my motherly.
00:45Ring cameras are great when you want to avoid unwanted visitors.
00:49But when this guy shows up at your doorstep, you're glad.
00:53Well, maybe not glad, but you appreciate that you made the investment.
00:57You are my mom!
01:06It's after dark in Las Cruces, New Mexico, when police receive an urgent 911 call.
01:12911, what's going on?
01:13Hi, I have a crazy guy at my door right now, and he's, like, banging on the door, half-naked.
01:21And he's, like, screaming and yelling.
01:24I just broke my glass door, and he's starting to eat the glass.
01:29He's eating it?
01:31Mm-hmm.
01:31Just moments earlier, Elijah, Jason, Paul, DeArmond can be seen on the homeowner's security camera as he approaches the house.
01:48Mom, did I just get me a mother?
01:50Daddy, can I please see your s*** right now?
01:56As if things weren't strange enough, DeArmond decides to get naked.
02:02Totally naked.
02:04I never want to see you get out of my life, bitch.
02:06Yes, sir.
02:08Daddy!
02:08Officer Christian Alvarez of the Las Cruces Police Department is the first to respond to the 911 call.
02:18The police, please!
02:20Okay, get down.
02:21Get down.
02:24Officer Alvarez stands his ground as DeArmond can be seen on body cam walking toward him.
02:31Stop chewing on the glass.
02:32Put that down.
02:33Get down.
02:35Get down on the ground.
02:36Okay, come here.
02:37Come here.
02:38Come here.
02:39Do you have any glass on you?
02:40No.
02:40No, turn around for me.
02:41Wait over here.
02:41I just need to sit in my hand.
02:43Stand up.
02:44I'm going to sit in your front, okay?
02:45Yes.
02:46Turn around.
02:46Let me go.
02:47Let me go.
02:48Let me go.
02:50Get the arm on me.
02:51Turn around.
02:51Where are you?
02:52Turn around.
02:52But as Officer Alvarez attempts to put DeArmond in handcuffs, a struggle ensues.
02:59And the body cameras knocked off the officer's vest.
03:02Oh, f*** me.
03:04I need to go touch it.
03:059-8-0-2-1-3.
03:08Where are you going to turn on what a sensor is going on?
03:09Where's my mom?
03:11I'm going to get to that.
03:14As more officers arrive on scene, they struggle to restrain DeArmond.
03:19Hey!
03:20You're going to f***ing get safe.
03:22Stop!
03:22Stop!
03:23Turn around.
03:24Stop, stop.
03:25Get tall legs.
03:27Stop.
03:27We're going to pick up his legs.
03:28Find him underneath.
03:29Slide from here.
03:30Watch out.
03:30Once he's secured, DeArmond is transported to Memorial Medical Center for evaluation.
03:38Susan.
03:40Susan.
03:41Susan.
03:42Hillary!
03:43Yo!
03:44Where it was determined that he was under the influence of drugs.
03:50Once DeArmond is medically cleared, he's transported to the Donna Anna Detention Center, where he's placed in custody.
03:58I'll go wherever you want.
04:00Can I just please have...
04:01Can you get the s*** off me?
04:02DeArmond is charged with criminal damage of property, indecent exposure, two counts of battery on a peace officer, and resisting arrest.
04:13He pled guilty to criminal damage, indecent exposure, and one count of battery on a peace officer, while the other two charges were dismissed for his plea agreement.
04:22He was conditionally discharged with supervised probation and community service.
04:26He was also ordered to pay $500 in restitution for the damage done to the home.
04:33Robbing a jewelry store isn't always a smash-and-grab operation.
04:38Cops say some would-be robbers have far more elaborate plans in mind when pulling a heist.
04:43But when police in Boca Raton, Florida, received this 911 call...
04:47What is the address of the emergency?
04:49This is a jewelry store, and we have a lady here who tried to switch something on us.
04:55They're surprised by what they find at the jewelry store.
05:02It's a Saturday afternoon at East Coast Jewelers, and according to what owner Bobby Yampolsky told police,
05:11he set up a deal with a buyer who wants to purchase nearly $7 million worth of diamonds.
05:17All that's left is for the buyer's rep to inspect the merchandise.
05:20He agreed to have somebody fly in, examine the stones, and once they agree, they'll wire you, and then you can release them.
05:27I said, sure, no problem.
05:29The rep, later identified as 46-year-old Fatima Milanovic, can be seen in the vault on a store security camera.
05:36And she's definitely not what they're expecting.
05:38We were expecting someone that understood luxury and diamonds, did not expect her to arrive in an Uber, do a $7, $8 million transaction.
05:46According to Bobby, that's not the only strange thing he noticed about the situation.
05:52I start showing her the stones one at a time.
05:53I take it out, she looks at it, she doesn't even really examine it.
05:56She takes the envelope that she had on the table, opens it up, lets me put the stones in myself.
06:00She takes the tape that she had on the table and tapes it up, wraps it up like 20 times, like, that's weird.
06:05I put it down on the table, and I'm not taking my eyes off it.
06:07I'm like, we're done.
06:08She grabs the package and sticks it into her bag.
06:11I start yelling, I'm like, get the package out.
06:12She pulls it out.
06:13It's not the same one, because I purposely bent the corner, so I wouldn't be able to identify it.
06:17Once Bobby notices the alleged switcheroo, he takes matters into his own hands.
06:22That's when I got really upset.
06:24I tried to grab the package.
06:25That was a real nerve-wracking moment.
06:28I ran out of the safe, and we locked her in the safe, called the police.
06:30911, what is the address, emergency?
06:32We, uh, this is a jewelry store, and we have a lady here who tried to switch something on us.
06:38Okay, is she cooperating?
06:40Uh, yeah, we locked her in the safe, so.
06:44You locked her in the safe?
06:46Yeah, she, like, tried to scam us, so my boss had to call the police.
06:50I kind of enjoyed locking her in the safe.
06:53Watching her literally rip up the fake package that she had and shove it up her crotch was bizarre.
06:58We thought she was going completely nuts.
07:00Once Boca Raton PD arrives, Milanovic makes one last odd request.
07:06She actually took out $100 in cash.
07:08She asked the police officer to pay the taxi outside.
07:11This was by far the strangest thing that's ever happened in this store and in my career.
07:15Fatima Milanovic is charged with grand theft and organized fraud.
07:20She pleads not guilty, is released on $50,000 bond, and then misses five court dates over the span of more than six months.
07:29A warrant is issued for her arrest, and she is still at large.
07:32On a hot summer night in Ledyard, Connecticut, 49-year-old Robert Fable sits behind the wheel of a suspicious vehicle in a deserted park when Ledyard police approach.
07:50Were you getting me up with somebody, or were you just coming here to sit?
07:52No, just me and sit, and no.
07:55Okay.
07:56Just a little bit of you had passed out when I got here. Were you sleeping when I got here?
07:59No, I was sitting awake.
08:01Sitting awake?
08:01I wasn't awake. I mean, I wasn't asleep.
08:06Robert, do me a favor. Step by the vehicle.
08:08While his behavior may seem strange, his choice of wardrobe seems even stranger.
08:16I have a...
08:18Yep.
08:26All right, Robert.
08:28So, how much did you drink tonight?
08:31I'm not sure.
08:32You're not sure about a lot, right?
08:34Do you have any friends in the area that can come pick you up and get you out of here?
08:39I don't think so.
08:40You have nobody that can come pick you up?
08:42Because you can't drive. You're in no shape to drive at this point.
08:44I'm trying to give you a break tonight.
08:46All right?
08:47All right, Robert.
08:48I will not drive.
08:49No, make some phone calls.
08:50Maybe contact a taxi, something like that. Get yourself out of here, okay?
08:54The officers wait with him until he has an Uber on the way to pick him up.
08:59But six minutes later, Fable's car is spotted driving down the road towards his address.
09:06And guess who's behind the wheel?
09:081-3 issue.
09:10I'm going to have that vehicle stopped again.
09:12I gave you the benefit of the doubt, man.
09:15I thought I...
09:15No, you thought you could make it, right?
09:17Be done.
09:18All right, take your handcuffs off.
09:20Take your handcuffs off your feet.
09:21I don't have to.
09:23Okay, well, I have keys.
09:24Are they the same keys?
09:25Probably.
09:28Take these keys for your hand.
09:29I'm doing them.
09:30If it's the same type.
09:31It's got to be.
09:32It's not every day that a suspect shows up pre-cuffed and then has to borrow a key.
09:40Take them off your feet, too.
09:41What's that?
09:42Take them off your ankles, also.
09:43Yes.
09:45Robert, you have any clothing in your vehicle?
09:48Pants, shirt?
09:48No vehicle, no.
09:50Okay, I'm guessing in your house you do, though, right?
09:51There, yeah.
09:52All right, because at this point in time, you're under arrest for DUI, okay?
09:54However, I would like to have you have pants on or something on,
09:57so I'm not walking you into my building looking like you're looking at this point in time.
10:01I appreciate it.
10:02We have a tie-back suit.
10:03What we'll do is we'll get back to the pedicure and get you a tie-back suit
10:05before I walk you into the building.
10:06How does that sound?
10:07So that way you're not just standing like this for four hours, okay?
10:11Robert, you're here.
10:12Just turn around.
10:12You're under arrest, okay?
10:14All right?
10:15Yeah.
10:18Babel's placed in handcuffs again, this time by the police, and he was arrested.
10:23A breathalyzer shows his blood alcohol level is more than twice the legal limit.
10:27He's charged with driving under the influence and released on a $1,500 bond.
10:33His case is pending.
10:39On a cold December morning, Jefferson County, Washington 911 dispatch receives a call about
10:45a robbery.
10:46But what neither the caller nor the dispatcher knew was how wild and wet the escape effort
10:53would become.
10:59911, where's your emergency?
11:01I just came to my property and caught somebody breaking into my shipping container.
11:07Is the person still there?
11:09Uh, no, but they've got a broken windshield because when they took off, I threw a piece
11:16of fire under the windshield.
11:19Okay, what does the vehicle look like?
11:21It's a black Suburban.
11:23There's a blonde woman driving it.
11:26And a van with black clothes.
11:28Any idea what all is missing yet?
11:31Uh, $11,000 worth of gold and silver that has gone missing.
11:35The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office responds and notifies other agencies to keep an eye
11:42out for the SUV.
11:44Minutes later, they receive word from a neighboring county that a vehicle matching the description
11:48has been found six miles away from the scene of the crime.
11:52Witnesses the crash saw a man and woman run into the woods.
11:56County units are with a rolled over vehicle in, for example, the occupants have a flag.
12:03It's all hands on deck as a canine team is dispatched to search for the suspects in the
12:08wooded areas surrounding the crash site.
12:11A drone is launched to search from above.
12:14416, Jeff Kahn, Oculus One is airborne.
12:17The drone finds 37-year-old Stephen Weldon and 32-year-old Taylor Johnson in an unexpected
12:26place, nearby Port Gamble Bay.
12:30In an attempt to escape, the suspects have stolen a rowboat, but they have no oars.
12:36So Weldon tries to paddle with a shovel, and Johnson uses a bore.
12:41But the couple are not making any headway, because the boat is taking on water.
12:48Their attempts to bail out the boat are not going well.
12:53Weldon ends up hitting Thompson on the head repeatedly with his shovel.
13:05Eventually, the boat capsizes, and the suspects abandon ship.
13:10They end their cold, soggy escape, then swim to shore, where deputies take them into custody.
13:16Oh, my God.
13:17I'm going to get you back.
13:195-0, go ahead and set A to end down.
13:212, we need a treat for hypothermia.
13:24Weldon and Thompson are treated at the scene for exposure and taken to jail.
13:28We're going to get you warmed up, okay?
13:31Gold and silver is recovered from the SUV.
13:33They're charged with felony burglary, theft, car prowling, and malicious mischief.
13:41They've pled not guilty.
13:43Their trials are pending.
13:48Over 69 million Americans own riding mowers.
13:52Most of them use it to cut grass.
13:54But this guy, he used it to haul ass.
13:59Stop!
14:04It's a sunny October afternoon in Jackson County, Michigan, when Deputy Robert Henderson arrives at an outdoor power equipment company.
14:13How you doing, James?
14:14Cops say employee, 41-year-old James Mitchell Kerr, violated his probation, allegedly not paying child support.
14:26Come on out, baby.
14:27Come here.
14:30James, stop!
14:32Stop!
14:32Stop!
14:40Get off him!
14:41Get off!
14:42Get off!
14:43Get off!
14:43Stop!
14:44Stop!
14:44Stop!
14:45Stop!
14:46Stop!
14:47Stop!
14:47Stop now!
14:48Stop now!
14:48Stop now!
14:49Get off!
14:50With the deputy's taser pointed directly at him, the suspect seems ready to comply.
14:56Get off!
14:56Right now!
14:57Get off!
14:57Now!
14:58Get off!
14:59Go!
14:59Step off!
15:01Shut it off and step off now!
15:03I am!
15:04Come!
15:04Get off!
15:05Now!
15:11You run, I'm going to tase you, James.
15:13Kerr can be seen reaching for a gun hidden in the mower.
15:16As he grabs it, Deputy Henderson tases it and the gun goes off.
15:25Send me another unit now.
15:27Shots fired.
15:27Suspect pulled the gun.
15:29Got tased.
15:30It's a round discharge from his gun.
15:33Looks like he got shot in the hand.
15:35After receiving medical care for his injured hand, Kerr is charged with assault with intent
15:41to murder, using a firearm during the commission of a felony, plus resisting and obstructing.
15:46He's taken to the Jackson County Jail, where troopers find meth on him, adding possession
15:51of methamphetamine to his list of charges.
15:54If convicted of all of them, he could face up to life in prison.
15:57Most of the time, policing is a job done outside of the police station, and when a young woman
16:05walked into a station with a box of donuts, the officers may have thought it was a citizen
16:10being thoughtful.
16:11But what she had in the box wasn't sweet or funny.
16:21It's just past 11 a.m. the day after Christmas, and all is quiet at the Framingham Police Department
16:28as a writer for the local newspaper fills out some paperwork.
16:32That is, until 24-year-old Lindsay McNamara walks into the lobby.
16:36She heads in, holding what appears to be a box of donuts, as the eyewitness watches.
16:44McNamara approaches Officer Chris Adiviani, who's working the front desk, and proceeds to
16:51smear and throw bacon and pork sausage all over the window, when he had asked if he can
16:57help her.
16:57McNamara allegedly replies, yeah, I'm here to feed the pigs.
17:02All while the eyewitness takes this strange behavior in stride.
17:09Adiviani and another officer detain McNamara, whisker away on a very short trip to the booking
17:15area.
17:17And the eyewitness eventually returns to filling out his paperwork.
17:21When asked, McNamara reportedly told an officer she did it because, quote, God told me to go
17:27feed the pigs.
17:28McNamara is charged with disorderly conduct and malicious destruction of property.
17:34The destruction charge was dismissed, and the judge approved a deal between the prosecutor
17:39and defense.
17:40McNamara was ordered to pay court costs $150, after which the disorderly charge was dropped.
17:50What did you like, coffee?
17:52Foot chants?
17:53Foot pursuits are one of the most dangerous and challenging aspects of a police officer's job.
17:58He's running to the back side.
18:00I'm worth it.
18:00But this one, let's just say it's a true one-of-a-kind.
18:05Police stop!
18:11It's early evening in Lone Tree, Colorado, where Officer Jacob Tarr is dispatched to a shoplifting
18:18call, and the suspect flees.
18:20Come here!
18:21Hey, I swear to God, I'm going to change your ass!
18:23Get on the f***ing ground!
18:28What did you do?
18:28He's done with the thing?
18:30He's in someone's backyard?
18:31About a minute into the chase, the alleged shoplifter, later identified as 33-year-old
18:39Emetric Carpenter, seems to realize he needs to upgrade his getaway game.
18:44He's going to elude Officer Tarr.
18:46And it now appears that he might escape on a child's scooter.
18:52He's on the road, back here in Acre of Screen.
18:55He just took a kid's scoot.
18:56I felt a little defeated.
18:58I'm like, man, this guy might get away from me.
19:00And then I saw that bike, and I was like, I can commandeer this thing and stay in the
19:04chase.
19:05And that's exactly what I did.
19:06I looked down and thought to myself, oh, crap, this thing has training wheels on it.
19:162.4.2, last DNM.
19:18Sirrus and Omega.
19:19I remember feeling a little wobbly, I gained some stability, and I felt like, okay, we might
19:24be able to actually do this.
19:26Sir, did you see a guy on a scooter?
19:28Sir, the chase now pits the suspect's stolen scooter against Officer Tarr's bike with training
19:36wheels.
19:39Got off to a rough start.
19:41My knees to chest and how little extension I was getting, I remember feeling pretty ridiculous.
19:50Yeah, you thought we were going to cut you, were we, huh?
19:542.42.
19:55We've undertaken.
19:56I mean, actually, it's supposed to be.
20:00I got scared.
20:01I'm scared.
20:02Nah, nah, now you're scared?
20:04He jumped on a scooter, and I jumped on some kid's bike.
20:08I don't know if that's frowned upon, but I did.
20:11As long as you know where it came from.
20:13Yeah, we'll return it.
20:13That's where it came from.
20:15This one's got to be up there for a strange arrest, a wild, weird, different arrest.
20:21Never did I think I was going to be jumping on a bike with training wheels to chase a suspect.
20:26But that's what's great about this job, is you don't know what you're going to get into
20:31every day.
20:31Carpenter, he's good.
20:33Nah, you're going to death.
20:34A metric carpenter is taken to the Douglas County Jail, charged with obstructing a police
20:39officer.
20:40Two counts of theft.
20:41The case is pending.
20:43The case is pending.
