00:00Isinusulong ni Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro ang muling pag-amienda sa mga AFP o sa AFP Modernization Program,

00:07kung saan binigyan din niya ang pangangailangan po ng dagdag-suporta sa base militar para sa pagdating ng mga bagong military equipment ng bansa.

00:15Ang datalya sa ulat ni Patrick T. Jesus.

00:17Nanawagan si Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. sa mga pambabatas na muling amyendahan ang AFP Modernization Program.

00:30Noong 2012 nang magkaroon ng revision sa batas na nakahati sa iba't ibang horizon sa loob ng labing limang taon.

00:38Alam natin na nag-o-obsolite ang mga kagamitan in a much shorter time.

00:43Walang bansa sa mundo na may independent foreign policy na walang malakas na sandatahan.

00:53Kasi ang kapayapaan, ang independensya, hindi yan libre.

01:01Pinaglalabanan yan or pinaghahandaan upang walang tangkang guluhin ito.

01:10Iginit din ni Teodoro na dapat dagdagan ang suporta sa mga base ng militar para sa pagdating ng mga karagdagang aset.

01:18Sa zona ng Pangulo, tiniyak niyang patuloy na tututukan ang modernisasyon ng militar.

01:24Tampok naman sa kauna-unahang Self-Reliant Defense Posture o SRDP for Roma,

01:32ang isang exhibit kung saan nakadisplay ang mga model ng locally manufactured na kagamitan,

01:38particular ang unmanned surface vessels.

01:41Isa sa prioridad para sa revitalized SRDP ang mga drone.

01:46Dahil na rin sa mga makabagong banta sa ngayon, nasuportado naman ang isang eksperto.

01:51Ang strategy ng malaki nating kapitbahay is yung swarming.

01:57If we multiply this, at least we can counter them when it comes to swarming strategy.

02:04And at the same time, if we can perfect it,

02:07there's a possibility for the Philippines to at least export some of these products.

02:11With the genius of the Filipinos in coming up and creating with drones,

02:17I think we can compete with that kind of market.

02:19Malaki ang tiwala sa kakayahan ng mga Pinoy sa paggawa ng mga ganitong kapabalidad

02:25na palalakasin pa ng SRDP.

02:28So what we can do in the defense level is that we can get some investors

02:35that would like to and would be interested to invest to those technologies coming from schools.

02:41We have very good or very brilliant scientists and engineers

02:47and of course the resources of what we have here in the Philippines.
