00:00The Mexican government highlighted Wednesday the results of the economic plan being implemented
00:05in the country. During her daily press conference, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum informed
00:10that salaries and the nation's domestic gross product had increased during the second quarter
00:15of the year. The head of state affirmed that the results dismissed the International Monetary
00:20Fund's negative projections and reiterated that there had been an increase despite the
00:25uncertainty generated by the United States' tariff policies.
00:32And you see, the IMF had said that our economy would fall. I think they said it was going
00:42to drop to minus 3.3 percent. And from here we said they were wrong. The Mexican economy
00:48is strong, it is solid. Of course there are negative impacts due to the uncertainty generated
00:54by the tariffs issue. Not only in Mexico, but in the whole world. But particularly in Mexico,
01:02due to our economic integration with the United States, but the plan we devised is showing
01:07its results, and they will be even better.
