21:10We didn't get back into the city until around six o'clock.
21:14But everything was, all the stores were closed down.
21:18Everything was very quiet.
21:20People had left the beach at that point.
21:23There were police officers driving up and down the main street in front of the beach, telling people to leave the beach.
21:32We were concerned.
21:34We were concerned.
21:34I mean, we weren't really concerned for our own safety.
21:38We were doing what the state officials told us to do.
21:42They said, you know, to either move away from the coast or to get at least to the fourth floor of a building.
21:51And we were staying on the 11th floor.
21:53So we felt pretty comfortable and that we were going to be safe.
21:57But, you know, we didn't know what was going to happen.
22:03We didn't know if perhaps the ocean front would be seriously compromised, if, you know, we could lose power or water or, you know, have infrastructure be disrupted.
22:18We were concerned about all of that and we're feeling a little relieved now.
22:25We're feeling like maybe the worst of the threat is past us, we hope.
22:31But we were pretty worried for several hours there.
22:48Yeah, well, we were I was with my family.
23:00Like I said, we're on vacation.
23:02We were about to start a hike.
23:03And my husband showed me that he had gotten the warning on his phone and it was very clear.
23:11It said, you are in danger.
23:13Get away from coastal waters.
23:15And this was at 2.44 p.m.
23:18And, you know, at that point, we were actually far away from the coast.
23:23So we felt pretty comfortable.
23:25But, you know, the the warnings came, you know, about every 30 to 60 minutes after that.
23:35And so, you know, and, you know, they were saying, you know, the wave's going to hit in three hours or the wave's going to hit in two hours.
23:42So, you know, really warning people that this was coming at a specific time.
23:49And it was supposed to hit around 7.10 p.m.
23:52And shortly after that, you know, we didn't see a change in what was happening at the beach and the water.
23:59And in fact, there were still at least a dozen people on the beach from what I could see.
24:03And people seemed to relax after that.
24:07People were hooting and hollering from their balconies and singing and waving their phones.
24:14And shortly after that, everyone sort of retreated into their hotel rooms or condos.
24:21And I would and, you know, you saw the traffic return to the streets.
24:28It appears as if people no longer feel worried about this.
24:33And, you know, we're certainly not at this point planning to change our plans.
24:38And, you know, we're still at the beach and we're still at the beach and we're still at the beach.
25:08And we're still at the beach and we're still at the beach.
