00:00Aaron Judge, we know you're a Yankee fan.
00:01We're watching this.
00:02Just a few years ago, Kevin, a minus 20,000 price was showing up on Aaron Judge to be the MVP.
00:08We reassessed those odds today.
00:10He's not even the favorite right now.
00:12It's Cal Raleigh at a minus 125 price.
00:14It's Aaron Judge at a minus 105.
00:16If you take a look at the statistics here, 41 bombs for Raleigh, 37 bombs for Aaron Judge, 85 RBI, 87 RBI, right in the same mix.
00:24I asked Joe Renier this question yesterday.
00:26Does it just come down to who hits more home runs is going to be the MVP this year?
00:32And how do you feel about this winding up with Judge on the I.L.?
00:35Yeah, I think the biggest reason for the move on Judge is we don't know if he's coming back.
00:40I think that's the panic that exists out there, and it's why those numbers are wrong.
00:46We just don't know which way.
00:48If Judge isn't coming back, then Cal Raleigh should be minus 500 or better.
00:53If Judge is coming back, he should go right back to minus 300 because that's the most pro Cal Raleigh graphic I've ever seen.
01:01We remove batting average, slugging, on base, OPS, wins above replace, home runs in RBI.
01:08All right, Cal Raleigh's got this whole thing figured out, but a batting average 70 points less than that of Aaron Judge.
01:15So this is an instance for me where if Judge is back by mid-August, he should still be the favorite.
01:22I just feel like we have no idea if Aaron Judge is actually coming back.
01:27Well, I better hope he comes back.
01:29And by the way, I was on the Yankees last night, Walsh, and everything was going swimmingly until Luka Doncic shows up in the booth for some reason for like three innings,
01:40and then everything went off the rail.
01:42I'm like, who's letting him on the broadcast right now?
01:45This is awful.
01:47But you bring up a great point when it comes to Aaron Judge, though.
01:51If both guys are close to 50 home runs or a few more than 50 home runs, what's the differential between those two?
02:00Cal Raleigh and think, I mean, don't we have to look at media market and all the other stats that Judge brings to the table?
02:06Just hitting 55 home runs is not going to be enough for Cal Raleigh to win this, no?
02:11Yeah, I wouldn't think so, especially because of the – I mean, Cal Raleigh, right, second most home runs ever at the All-Star break behind the Barry Bond season.
02:19Just Cal Raleigh individually, I think, 55 home runs, I'm not going to say that's a disappointment,
02:25but we're wondering can this guy push the American League record that Judge currently holds?
02:30Now, if he's able to break through that record, I think that could certainly be enough to swing it in his direction.
02:36But let's not forget Aaron Judge was, again, pacing towards a potential triple crown.
02:41At the time of the injury, Aaron Judge was actually still favored in the finish with the most home runs in the regular season.
02:47And again, if Judge is back in a timely enough fashion, something like that, to me, is still on the board.
