00:00But if you're not watching this race right now in the NL Central,
00:02you are doing it wrong, people.
00:04Last night, the Brewers ate the four win over the Cubs.
00:06You now see the record.
00:07He has 63 wins for the Brewers, 62 for the Cubs, 44 losses for the Cubs,
00:1143 for the Milwaukee Brewers.
00:12They're in first place now.
00:13And I got to tell you, 12 runs yesterday scored in that game came as a bit of a surprise
00:17because we talked how good Boyd has been over the past 60 days.
00:21He goes five innings, pitched five earned runs yesterday.
00:23That guy's ERA was like a .95 over the past 30 days.
00:27It rises to 2.47 on the season now.
00:30Mizorowski, one of those kids, we didn't know how long he would go for.
00:32He won 80 pitches, but only made it through four innings.
00:35He gave up three runs.
00:36Two of those earned yesterday.
00:37A great victory for the Brewers yesterday.
00:39And an over, and it just goes to show you, the Brewers just, you know,
00:43it's Yellich and a bunch of people, it feels like.
00:46And that's good enough to get the job done.
00:48Yeah, well, there was a bit of a scare in that game too
00:52because Mizorowski ended up taking a shot off his left or one of his knees too
00:59on a comebacker, which kind of everyone was like, whoa, what's going to happen here?
01:03He threw a wild pitch.
01:05He allowed a run to square.
01:06It was not a good start for Mizorowski.
01:08But when your team hits three home runs in a game and all of a sudden,
01:13listen, Boyd, we talked about it yesterday.
01:16Nice pitcher having a unbelievable season.
01:19It's an outlier season.
01:21How much of this is really just it all coming together?
01:24And how much of it, you know, what I think we saw last night from Boyd
01:28is a little more indicative of what he's been like over his whole career
01:31than what we have been seeing this season.
01:33So to me, at some point, guys are going to have these kinds of games
01:38in which maybe it's reverting a little bit closer to the medium,
01:43which is exactly the kind of pitcher I think Matthew Boyd is anyway.
01:47Yeah, take a look yesterday.
01:48Like the big four, like the call for the Chicago Cubs here.
01:51Bush, Tucker, Suzuki, and P. Carl Armstrong out of that group.
01:54P. Carl Armstrong actually went 0 for 4 with two strikeouts yesterday.
01:56Base knock for Suzuki.
01:58Tucker had an RBI yesterday, a couple walks.
02:00Michael Bush, two base hits in that game.
02:02But P. Carl Armstrong not able to help them out.
02:03But eight runs scored.
02:04Why?
02:04Because Christian Yellich, like he's hitting .258.
02:07It seems like he's hitting .358 because every time I go to look at a Brewers game,
02:10it seems like he's doing most of the damage.
02:12Two of four last night, three ribs, and also included a home run in that game.
02:16But if we put our focus here on the central moving forward, like the Brewers are here to stay.
02:20This isn't, hey, Joe, the Brewers are really good in April.
02:23Like, no, April, May, June, July, into August now, 63 and 43.
02:28But we look at the Cubs.
02:29It feels like they just have more star power.
02:31But when you break it down, and you're right, looking at the starting pitching staff and the bullpen here,
02:35it's a Brewers advantage.
02:37And that's what I see right now.
02:38And you'll see it again today when you got, you know, now you're going to follow that up with Colin Ray.
02:45I mean, come on.
02:46You know, Priester's been good.
02:48I just think top to bottom, from a pitching standpoint, yes, you're right.
02:53More star power on the Cubs in that lineup.
02:55But when you go to the bullpen and you go to starting pitching,
02:58there is no doubt to me that Milwaukee is heads and tails above what this Cubs team is.
03:03And that's going to matter over the next two months here, Donnie, heading into the postseason.
