00:01Previously on Genius Game...
00:03What is this?
00:05In the main match, it was a case of who could be trusted.
00:08Bex, it feels like you're playing both sides.
00:10Whoa, are you joking there? It's a game.
00:13You're not letting me talk.
00:14Oh, my God.
00:15Indy emerged victorious.
00:17Well done, Indy.
00:18I would like to give immunity to Bex.
00:20Thank you, Indy.
00:21And Badalia's defeat meant there was only one player he wanted to challenge.
00:25A man defeat. I think there's only room for one of us in this game.
00:27I'm taking you to deathmatch.
00:29But there was a shocking twist.
00:31The entire group will have the opportunity to influence the outcome for the deathmatch.
00:36That's so crazy.
00:39Everyone needs to choose the same two cards.
00:42A man defeat played the cards he was dealt.
00:44And was therefore eliminated by the other players.
00:48It's just a brutal way to take someone out of the game.
00:51I was out before it even started.
00:54Everyone is more afraid of a man.
00:56They played so well and that's why everyone is wanting him out.
00:58Congratulations, man.
00:59I would have liked to go on to win.
01:00Losing a competition is never fun.
01:02Oh!
01:03We're the first!
01:04There's only seven of us left.
01:05Hi!
01:06And everyone is so strong and intelligent.
01:07I think it's getting trickier to work out who should be the most feared.
01:08Especially after the last deathmatch which was basically just a vote.
01:39And I think it's going to be the crucial side of his game a bit more.
01:40As that could kind of be a weakness for him.
01:42Are you thinking like now you might want to integrate more with like groups and things
01:46or...?
01:47Yeah, I think definitely that's become more important.
01:50So I'm starting to think, oh, who would back me in that situation?
01:53And also who would I pick?
01:54Have you got your eye on anybody?
01:56I'm not thinking about it until I have to really.
01:58Mm-hmm.
01:59I was obviously making a play.
02:01Can I see Mark?
02:02Over here.
02:03Hello!
02:04Hello!
02:05I came in thinking he would shake my hand and we would go on for it.
02:08But he doesn't feel the need despite seeing yesterday's deathmatch.
02:13Here he is!
02:14Hello!
02:15The Survivor!
02:16He's done it.
02:17He's done it.
02:18He's back, alright?
02:20We meet again, players.
02:22Welcome back to Genius Game.
02:25The Magnificent Seven.
02:27The question is, who's going to ride that horse out of town
02:30and who's going to not take that?
02:33I don't know.
02:34What do they do in Westerns?
02:36Anyway, I do know how many garnets you've managed to accumulate so far.
02:40You've increased the amount of garnets to 24,
02:42so the prize fund currently stands at 24,000 pounds.
02:46Now, I'm sure you've all heard the tale of the tortoise and the hare,
02:50but are you familiar with the tale of the elephant and the lion
02:53and the crocodile and the giraffe and the zebra and the flamingo?
02:57No?
02:58Well, that's about to change.
02:59Your next main match is Safari Race.
03:06In this game, players must back winning animals in a race to gain points.
03:12Before the game begins, every player will receive a set of six tokens
03:15before secretly choosing which two animals they wish to make win.
03:19These two animal tokens are given to the dealer
03:22and the remaining four are placed into the communal token box.
03:27The tokens in the box will be used to move the animals in the race.
03:31In each round, players randomly draw four tokens
03:34and place them in any of the three movement squares.
03:37After all the players have placed their tokens,
03:40the animals with the highest number in each square will move along the race track.
03:45However, if more than one animal has the same number of tokens,
03:48those animals will not be moved.
03:50The animal with the highest unique number of tokens will move instead.
03:55Players draw lots to decide who goes first in the game.
03:58If a player chooses to skip their turn, they will then draw last in the next round.
04:03Only one player may abstain in each round.
04:07The race continues until one animal crosses the finish line.
04:11The animals closest to the finish line at the end
04:13will come second and third respectively.
04:16Just to clarify, once one has crossed the finish line,
04:20two and three is automatically confirmed as,
04:22it doesn't matter how far behind, it could have been sixth.
04:25Yeah, that's right. Ends immediately.
04:27Players will gain points based on the finishing position
04:30of the animals they initially backed.
04:32An animal that wins the race earns three points.
04:35Two points for an animal that comes second
04:37and one point for an animal in third place.
04:41Any player who supported two animals that both appear on the winner's podium
04:44receive one bonus point.
04:46The player with the most points at the end of the game
04:48will be the main match winner
04:50and receive two tokens of life and five garnets.
04:53The player with the fewest points will be the death match candidate.
04:58You need to be as brave as a lion, as ferocious as a crocodile
05:01and as quick off the starting blocks as a flamingo.
05:04That's how the phrase goes, right?
05:07I will give you a bit of time to check out the form
05:09and see if you can work out a favourite safari race.
05:13will begin soon.
05:18I'm quite excited for this one.
05:20I have no idea how it's going to go.
05:22The order of play for the start of the game will now be decided.
05:28I love picking stuff out of a bag.
05:33Four.
05:36Seven.
05:37Five.
05:38Six.
05:39Having a last position is key in this game because you get to decide which animals will be moving.
05:52Having an end position is very important, otherwise abstaining wouldn't put you to the end.
05:57Is that a one?
05:58It is a one.
06:00Three.
06:02Number two.
06:04Charlotte will pull tokens first and Bedalia gets the prime position of being last.
06:10The dealer will now distribute your six animal tokens.
06:13Ooh.
06:14They look like poker chips.
06:16Yeah, right?
06:17One day.
06:18I see what you mean.
06:19I see what you mean.
06:21I think they're plastic.
06:23Players, you have ten minutes to decide which two animals you will support.
06:28Your time begins now.
06:30No.
06:32I'm just going to go and get some paper.
06:33Yeah.
06:34Do you want to come, Bex?
06:35Huh?
06:36Do you want to come with us?
06:37Yes, please.
06:38I hate this bit.
06:39I hate this bit.
06:45I mostly trust Bex.
06:47I trust Bedalia, I think.
06:51Less so than Bex, but still quite a lot.
06:53I trust Alison.
06:54The rest might want to target me.
06:56Not openly, but when the time comes.
07:01Yeah, I know, I know.
07:03I think we choose.
07:06Can I just quickly ask you guys?
07:07I would like to work with y'all and try to win.
07:10I was thinking being in a two I think is actually beneficial.
07:13As long as we.
07:14I would go and find someone to be a two with before they pair up.
07:17Okay, I'll run over there.
07:18I'm just being honest.
07:19No, I appreciate it.
07:20That's the best thing.
07:21Okay.
07:22See you.
07:23Basically.
07:27Unless.
07:28You've got no chance at all.
07:30India and Charlotte, they basically told me they want to work alone.
07:33I don't believe, really.
07:34That's what they told me.
07:36Is that what they said, Ben?
07:38Ben.
07:39Ben, is that what they said?
07:40Yeah.
07:41They didn't say that.
07:45Five is too big.
07:46Yeah.
07:47I think we're going to do it out of four.
07:53The dynamics of the group with seven of us left right now are not really in my favour.
07:57I'm probably in the worst position in the game today.
08:01Hi.
08:03Ken just kicked me out and said there are four.
08:04You're a two and I'm the one.
08:06What?
08:07I can't.
08:08I know you two wanted to work as a two.
08:09If you still do, that's fine.
08:10I'm happy to go it alone today.
08:12But we have won every main match so far.
08:14Yeah, right.
08:15And I know that we've sort of been working together, but sort of not.
08:18Sort of trusting each other, sort of not.
08:19So even when we haven't been working together, one of us has won.
08:22Managed to win.
08:23Exactly.
08:24It did seem a bit rough when Ken kicked out Benjamin and took over.
08:30So whilst I thought I could try and form a team with Ken, it seems that Ken has taken
08:35the more naive players and made a player of his own.
08:41The most important thing, we have to exclude two animals for our entire group and go with four each.
08:46We need to quickly decide if anyone comes in, what two.
08:50You pick, you just write them down.
08:52We've decided to pick four animals between the four of us so that there's crossover between two people at a time.
08:58So someone has one of my animals and another person has the other animal.
09:01We're all on sort of teams of two in that sense.
09:04That will help us work together.
09:06So Badali will pick Lion and Elephant.
09:08Allison, Elephant, Crocodile.
09:10Yes.
09:11Then I'll be Crocodile.
09:12Zebra.
09:13And then you'd be Lion, Zebra.
09:15Yeah.
09:16The strategy will really depend on if anyone's picked the animals that we haven't picked together,
09:21because we can try and make sure those animals are at the back and therefore one of them will be the loser in the game.
09:28Ken's strategy requires four players to support four animals.
09:33However, each individual animal is only shared by two of the players on that team.
09:39This is to try to ensure that there are more tokens for those animals left in the box and increase the potential of moving them.
09:46Four players will work not only to move their animals, but also to prevent the two animals they haven't chosen from being moved at all.
09:52Please return to the atrium.
09:56The game's going to be quite open when this game starts.
09:58Yeah.
09:59Yeah.
10:00Hello.
10:01Hello.
10:02Ken's saying the game will be open once it starts.
10:03Yeah.
10:04Everything will be played open and then things will change between rounds, I think.
10:08So why'd you drag everyone except for us?
10:10Huh?
10:11You dragged everyone except for us?
10:12I just dragged the people who wanted to...
10:13It wasn't me who did it.
10:14It wasn't me who did it.
10:15It wasn't me who did it.
10:17I see you.
10:18I see you.
10:19Be nice to each other.
10:21Honestly, be nice to each other.
10:23Don't worry.
10:24It helps to be nice.
10:25Ken, why didn't you join me?
10:26We could have been great.
10:29You're scared of him.
10:30Huh?
10:31I'm scared of him.
10:32He should be scared of me.
10:33Look at me.
10:34You know how calm he is all the time.
10:35I'm just Ken.
10:40Please make your decision in the dealer room.
10:48Hi, Charlotte.
10:51So I choose lion and giraffe.
10:54Okay, if you could place the other four tokens in the box for me.
10:59Hello.
11:00Hello, India.
11:01I wish to support flamingo.
11:05And the giraffe.
11:07I do think I've also chosen the two animals which resemble me the most and that wasn't on purpose.
11:14I'm going to support the giraffe and the zebra.
11:19The three of us all picking giraffe means that our fates are linked together and we can hopefully try to support giraffe and get some points and avoid last place.
11:26I also then pick zebra because I think there's at least one or two people on that other side who are also picking zebra.
11:33I think in this game you want to be overlapping multiple people from different sides who are supporting something that benefits you.
11:40Elephant.
11:42And crocodile.
11:43Crocodile.
11:44There's four of us working together and we've agreed which animals we're picking and we know what each other's animals are.
11:51Which means that as we race we can help each other.
11:54Lion.
11:57And elephant.
11:58I'm placing the crocodile and the zebra.
12:04Between the four of us we decided to pick crocodile, elephant, lion and zebra so we can work together.
12:12I would like to support the lion and the zebra.
12:15So I went into the dealer room, I gave them zebra and a lion and I did exactly what Ken taught me to do.
12:28Round one of safari race will now begin.
12:32Charlotte, will you please select four tokens from the box?
12:35The more contestants support a certain animal, the fewer of that animal's pieces there are in the pot, there's going to be less opportunity to draw those animals and move them in the race.
12:50Adalia, what did you pick?
12:52Lion and elephant.
12:54Yeah.
12:56Promise.
12:58Because I was first in the game and I had no idea what other players were picking and I only know what my team playing.
13:06I just played it off as like helping Bedalia, putting his ones in which was the lion and the elephant.
13:12And also the crocodile won and for two I also just put the zebra just as a placeholder.
13:20There's no way of knowing where anything can go.
13:22Alison.
13:23Please select your four tokens.
13:25I'm going to abstain this round.
13:30Abstaining is crucial because the people who were drawing the early tokens have very little control.
13:37It's the people who place the final tokens that can decide which animals will move.
13:41Benjamin, please select your four tokens.
13:46So I pulled out a zebra, two lions and an elephant.
13:48I put the zebra token on two so that I could try to move the zebra forward two spaces because that's what I pick.
13:58Ken.
14:00I pulled out two flamingos, one crocodile and one giraffe.
14:05Tricky.
14:07You can put it there. If I get a lion I'll put it there.
14:09I decided to put one flamingo in three and one in two just to spread them out because we don't have them.
14:13And I've put in crocodile in two and a giraffe in one. The giraffe I don't care about, the crocodile I'm focusing on.
14:19What are you thinking?
14:29Put the elephants here. Two? Put the elephant here.
14:31Both elephants.
14:32I think one for definite.
14:34I think a trot.
14:36Croc croc.
14:37Either one or two I think is fine.
14:39OK.
14:41And then giraffe.
14:43We could put in one.
14:44Fine. You discard all of them then.
14:46The fact we're almost fit into two sides means I think it's going to be pretty obvious who's going for what and it's just going to be a long, long game where we just keep blocking each other's wins.
14:56I like that there's less running around in this game.
14:57Yeah.
14:59Chill guys.
15:00We're just going to be here for a while.
15:01Could have a cup of tea.
15:03It's interesting that we don't know how many of each channel there are in the pot.
15:06Yeah, yeah.
15:07Need to make that know of that.
15:08Yeah.
15:19Pedalia, please pack your four tokens.
15:24Oh, interesting.
15:25Ken.
15:26Yeah.
15:27Come here.
15:28Yeah.
15:29Do we need to block?
15:30We do need to block three.
15:31Put the lion in three.
15:32India doesn't want me to win.
15:33These all cancel each other out.
15:38Crocodile on two.
15:40Yeah, crocodile on two.
15:41Yeah, that'll work.
15:46Yeah, it's a giraffe and crocodile moving.
15:54Here are the results.
15:57In the first movement square, the giraffe has the highest unique number of tokens and so will move one space.
16:04In the second movement square, the zebra and the elephant are tied, which means it's the crocodile that has the highest number of unique tokens and moves two spaces.
16:13In the third movement square, the lion and flamingo are tied, and as there is no animal with unique amount of tokens, no animal will move three spaces.
16:25Just for you viewers, here's how they stand. Ken and Alison's crocodile takes an early lead, but Ben's Charlotte and Indy's giraffe has also managed to move one space.
16:34Charlotte.
16:35Okay.
16:36Listen, I think really important, like, this is one thing we have to chat about is staying loyal.
16:41Yes, I'm staying loyal.
16:42The most important thing is that if they have a very specific common denominator, because the moment we start stalling on those, they're going to start panicking.
16:56They can't win.
16:57We need to find a way to block their animals whilst also advancing our own.
17:02I'm not giving up my team just so I can fall into place against Ken, so if Ken wants to have a deathmatch before the finals, then so be it.
17:19We will now begin round two.
17:22After she abstained in the last round, Alison will now be the last person to place her tokens.
17:27Benjamin, please select your four tokens.
17:31I would like to abstain, please.
17:34Ken, please select your four tokens.
17:36As a team, we're just making sure that our animals, crocodile, elephant, lion and zebra are moving.
17:44We want these to progress, yes or no?
17:46No.
17:47Spend them out.
17:48Spend them out.
17:49And the animals that we don't have, giraffe and flamingo don't.
17:52This round will help us work out what's left.
17:55Crocodile on three.
17:56Crocodile on three.
17:57We should put lion in two.
17:58Okay.
17:59And then zebra in one.
18:00So we have options.
18:01Okay.
18:02Yeah, I know you.
18:03Two.
18:04Yeah.
18:05Yeah.
18:06Yeah.
18:07Yeah.
18:08Yeah.
18:09Yeah.
18:10Yeah.
18:11India.
18:12Wowee.
18:13There are five crocodiles.
18:14So no one has crocodiles.
18:15I mean, no one.
18:16No one outside of us.
18:17Which is good for me and you.
18:18I drawed crocodile, crocodile, crocodile, giraffe.
18:19I mean, the giraffe looks good, but the three crocodiles is just kind of the absolute
18:35worst thing I could draw.
18:37Elephants.
18:38There are five of them.
18:39I mean, none of them have one.
18:40As the tokens were coming out for the first couple of rounds, we were counting off how many
18:44tokens we'd seen.
18:45And we quickly worked out that there were five elephants and five crocodiles.
18:50And we'd, between us, used the other tokens.
18:54So we knew any movement with elephants and crocodiles was not going to benefit the other
18:58team.
18:59I could put a lion here.
19:01Yeah.
19:02Okay.
19:03Elephant.
19:04Put ever three.
19:07Yeah.
19:08And zebra in one.
19:10We have an advantage at the moment that none of them have, which is that we know that we
19:15are the three that share the giraffe.
19:17So we need to put anything, everything else in the different.
19:20Everything else.
19:21If there's still a chance to put the giraffes in three.
19:23If there's not in it and there's no chance to move giraffe, then we can go for ourselves.
19:27It makes sense.
19:28Charlotte.
19:29Yes.
19:30Yes.
19:31We need to select triple tokens.
19:32Double flamingo.
19:33Double flamingo.
19:34How many more people?
19:35Just the allicent.
19:36India is the flamingo.
19:37So I will try and help her out.
19:38If she was ever at risk of a death match, I would protect her.
19:39You could put your lion on two and the flamingos on one.
19:40And the flamingos on one.
19:41Yeah.
19:42I think that's the best.
19:43Wait, wait, wait, wait.
19:44Let me see.
19:45I'm starting to get it.
19:46The lion's going to move.
19:47For sure.
19:48We don't need to worry about that.
19:49We'll put the zebra.
19:50Put the zebra there.
19:51Put the zebra there.
19:52Yeah.
19:53Yeah.
19:54Yeah.
19:55Yeah.
19:56Yeah.
19:57Yeah.
19:58Yeah.
19:59Yeah.
20:00Yeah.
20:01Yeah.
20:02Yeah.
20:03Yeah.
20:04Yeah.
20:05Yeah.
20:06Yeah.
20:07Yeah.
20:08Yeah.
20:09Yeah.
20:10Yeah.
20:11Yeah.
20:13Yeah.
20:14Yeah.
20:15He asks you to answer cards.
20:17Kay, yeah, perfect.
20:18Boy Wonder enfants and twins you need to see.
20:20Yeah.
20:21Yeah.
20:22Yeah.
20:23Yeah, it doesn't matter.
20:25Yeah.
20:26It doesn't matter.
20:28Round two is over.
20:30Here are the results.
20:34In the first movement square, as there is no animal with a unique number of tokens.
20:39no animal will move one space.
20:42The lion will move two spaces.
20:47And the elephant will move three spaces.
20:53So now, it's only Indy's flamingo and the zebra,
20:57supported by Ken, Bex and Ben, that has failed to move.
21:01Ken has figured out which animals the three of us don't have,
21:03and he's trying to make those three animals win
21:05to guarantee that one of us comes in last place.
21:09And if that happens, we're picking somebody from your group
21:12for the deathmatch, and we're not picking Ken,
21:14and people probably aren't picking Alison.
21:16So this is why it's not wise for you and Bex
21:18to just do what Ken wants, because you're helping Ken win,
21:21and you're making yourselves vulnerable.
21:23Because if one of us loses,
21:24you have to consider who we're going to pick on our team.
21:26Yeah, it could be me. I understand it could be me.
21:29Ben seems, again, constantly on edge.
21:32He's not had a deathmatch yet, so he wants security.
21:36You need to keep listening when Ben keeps going on.
21:39I'm not saying I don't trust him, but I don't trust him.
21:41We will now begin round three.
21:45As Ben abstained in round two, he will now place tokens last.
21:49Ken, please select your four tokens.
21:52I would like to abstain, please.
21:54Thank you, Ken.
21:55Vix, you please select your tokens.
21:57Ready, guys?
22:00Yeah.
22:01I think smash elephants.
22:03Yeah.
22:04Yeah.
22:05We all know for five elephants in, we have a lot of power.
22:06Two.
22:07Two.
22:08I'd say flamingo here.
22:09Yeah.
22:10Yeah, happy.
22:11Yeah, I'm happy.
22:12We'll find out this round if they might have the three
22:14of the same animal.
22:15They all might have the same animals.
22:17Oh, my God.
22:18Oh, my God.
22:19Oh, my God.
22:20Oh, my God.
22:21Oh, my God.
22:22Oh, my God.
22:37I've got those everywhere, haven't I?
22:38I do.
22:39But they've only got one, Max.
22:41They've only got one, Max.
22:42Galia, please select your four tokens.
22:44Put elephant in three and then put two lions in.
22:47Yeah.
22:48Yeah.
22:49Should I put these in three?
22:50Yeah, I put them in three, because if they tie, then we
22:51still get lions.
22:52Maybe.
22:53Two.
22:54Why would they put two?
22:55I don't want to.
22:56I guess they're planning on making it tie, so that they can.
22:59Charlotte, please select your tokens.
23:01Yeah.
23:02Okay.
23:03Okay.
23:04Okay.
23:05Okay.
23:06Okay.
23:07Okay.
23:08Okay.
23:09Okay.
23:10Okay.
23:11Okay.
23:12Okay.
23:13Okay.
23:14Okay.
23:24Split the crocs?
23:25Yeah, I am.
23:26I'm just thinking one.
23:27I think I'm one.
23:28It'll move for you.
23:29Yeah.
23:37Sweet.
23:38I think we should go zebra on two.
23:39Alison, if you put a crocodile on two and I draw a crocodile, I'll move crocodiles if
23:55you put the giraffe on three.
23:57Don't tell him.
23:58I can't put the giraffe on three.
23:59I can put the zebra.
24:00Two zebras in two, a crocodile on a three, I think.
24:01Why not put it on there?
24:02I don't think moving one is too big a deal.
24:03I don't think moving one is too big a deal.
24:04But if these ties, then the crocodile will still move three.
24:05Oh, I see what you mean.
24:06Yeah.
24:07Yeah.
24:08And it stops a block.
24:09Oh, my God.
24:10Oh, my God.
24:11Oh, my God.
24:12So my primary goal is to advance the giraffe.
24:13Come on, baby, give me an orange.
24:14I feel like it, we need to stay.
24:15Joe, okay?
24:16I can't see all of this.
24:17I think Bex and I are just a bit like oil and water in this game.
24:18I think that interpersonally, we don't quite, you know, are that kind of going to
24:19be the one.
24:20It's really a bit of fun.
24:21A lot of fun.
24:22It's frustrating.
24:23I do not have fun.
24:24I do not have fun.
24:25Bex, I do not have fun.
24:26Okay.
24:27I do not have fun.
24:28I do not have fun.
24:29I do not have fun.
24:30I do not have fun.
24:31Yeah.
24:32I do not have fun.
24:33I do not have fun.
24:34I do not have fun.
24:35I do not have fun.
24:36I do not have fun.
24:37are just a bit like oil and water in this game.
24:40I think that interpersonally, we don't quite click so well.
24:44Both of us are probably a little bit weary of each other.
24:48Oh, interesting.
24:53So, should I move Flamingo then?
24:54Definitely move Flamingo.
24:56I can only move one.
24:57You can only move one.
24:58I could move Flamingo three.
25:02Or I could move Lion three.
25:04Lion's already moved two, right?
25:06Yeah.
25:07But we need it to get to the finish line at some point.
25:09That's the only thing.
25:11And we need to do it while we can move the others.
25:14Yeah, to be fair, and go for Lion.
25:17So you want me to move Lion?
25:18Yeah, that works.
25:19I think it might be beneficial.
25:21Are we sure?
25:25I think it's...
25:27Yeah.
25:30I think, yeah.
25:31OK.
25:32It doesn't matter where I put this as long as I put it here right now.
25:37Yeah.
25:44We need draft weave as well.
25:45Oh, my God.
26:02They missed the chance to go to Rome.
26:04What?
26:04What?
26:05What?
26:05What?
26:06Ben's made a mistake.
26:07He could have actually, at that point, given the giraffe the three points, if he tied the
26:19elephant with the lion, they'll need their giraffe to have points, because I don't think
26:24it's going to move very quickly.
26:26It makes me feel good that they've missed a trick, because every situation matters.
26:29You need to make sure every situation you get to move.
26:32And if they're missing those, then we're just going to be further ahead in this race.
26:35Players, round three is over.
26:48Here are the results.
26:52The flamingo will move one space.
26:57The zebra will move two spaces.
27:02And the lion will move three spaces.
27:09All of our things are scoring.
27:12So Indy's flamingo has finally moved, but it's still joint last, along with the giraffe,
27:18which she also has.
27:20My only chance of avoiding the death match today is to make sure that the zebra places
27:24higher than the lion that Charlotte has picked and the flamingo that India has picked.
27:30It's so scary.
27:32It's so scary, because with four abstains, they also control who goes last, basically.
27:37They never have to abstain until we abstain.
27:38Norm wants to take you at the death match.
27:39Yeah, that's fine.
27:40They've got to take each other back.
27:41Or they pick Bex.
27:42We have to protect Bex between us.
27:43Yes, we'll protect them.
27:44We have to.
27:45Okay.
27:46Spread fake.
27:47Whoever wins, you're getting the token of life.
27:48Bedali promised that if he won this, he would give me the token of life.
27:52Alison agreed that it would come to me also, but I'm worried that Bedali is feeling a
27:59little bit exposed.
28:01Bedali, you're not going to cross us, are you?
28:02I promise you that won't.
28:03He won't.
28:04I promise you that won't.
28:05He won't.
28:06I'm trying to feel them out as well.
28:07It's going to be me or you against Alison.
28:09Against Alison or Ken.
28:10I'm a little flustered, actually.
28:11The game has really flipped in a way that I didn't expect it to.
28:14I underestimated people and I regret it.
28:15I don't think they took a flamingo and that is really bad because they have no reason
28:17to ever say anything about it.
28:18You don't know what it is.
28:19You don't know.
28:20I mean, they're not getting lost.
28:21But I'm worried that Bedali is feeling a little bit exposed.
28:22Bedali, you're not going to cross us, are you?
28:23I promise you that won't.
28:24He won't.
28:25I'm trying to feel them out as well.
28:26It's going to be me or you against Alison.
28:27Against Alison or Ken.
28:28I'm a little flustered, actually.
28:29The game has really flipped in a way that I didn't expect it to.
28:32I underestimated people and I regret it.
28:35I don't think they took a flamingo and that is really bad because they have no reason to ever pass it on forward and that is so scary.
28:43Don't know if I can come back from this unless me and Ben joint lose and then someone chooses Ben as deathmatch over me.
28:54Players, please return to the atrium.
29:00We will now begin round four.
29:02Ken abstained in the last round and will now be the last player to place tokens.
29:07Vicks, please pick your four tokens.
29:09I'd like to abstain, please.
29:11India, please choose your four tokens.
29:13I need to get really lucky.
29:15Guys, look at my draw.
29:17Wow.
29:20Spit the crocs.
29:27Flamingo in one.
29:29Flamingo in one.
29:31Giraffes in one.
29:32Yeah, let's put them both in one.
29:36Charlotte, please select your four tokens.
29:43Alison, please select your four tokens.
29:45We can smash.
29:46Oh, we can smash Crocodile here.
29:48Yeah, so definitely going to them.
29:50Just thinking about this moving forward, the lines have been drawn in the sand, at least for me.
29:54We've only seen four giraffes.
29:56If we put a giraffe there, the most...
29:57And we need to make sure that Bex doesn't get immunity.
29:59If one of us goes in and sends her home, it changes the game and then we're in the majority from now on.
30:06Because then you can get these points up, potentially those.
30:07Yes.
30:08That's really good.
30:10Benjamin.
30:10I've lost hope in this game.
30:17Who do you think is going to lose?
30:19Can't say yet.
30:22You're bent.
30:23Okay, please select your four tokens.
30:35The Dahlia.
30:40I think he's turning.
30:42Hmm?
30:43I think he's turning.
30:44Do you?
30:44Hmm.
30:46What deals have you made about immunity if you win?
30:48The deal I've made is if they help me win, I'd give Bex immunity.
30:57You can't do that.
30:59Why?
31:00What Ken is trying to do is to make sure that you and Bex are immune.
31:04He's trying to make me or India lose.
31:07And then if you give Bex immunity, he's basically protecting Bex because she's weak.
31:13What do you think I should do?
31:15If you agree not to give Bex immunity, we will push you to the win.
31:19I'm not even asking you to give it to me.
31:21I'm just saying don't give it to her.
31:23Don't give it to Bex.
31:23Yeah.
31:26Why would you help her?
31:27She's done nothing.
31:34Time's up for round four.
31:36Here are the results.
31:38The crocodile moves one space.
31:44The crocodile also moves a further two spaces.
31:48And the lion moves three spaces.
32:01So the lion is still out in front.
32:03But after four rounds, the giraffe and the flamingo have only moved one space.
32:08We will now begin round five.
32:10Bex will be the final player this round as she abstained in round four.
32:17India, please pick your poor tokens.
32:19I abstain.
32:21Thank you, India.
32:22We saw Bedalia's line was going ahead quite quickly.
32:29So as a group, we're deciding that we're going to allow him to win.
32:32We need to make sure Flamingo and the draft comes last.
32:35That's the only way we all survive.
32:36Yeah, so they know Ben's like, Ken is playing this so that India and Ben come last.
32:44That's what they do.
32:45I'm not targeting anyone.
32:46I'm just helping us four.
32:47I think Ben is super frightened to go in that deathmatch.
32:52He's been trying to avoid that deathmatch like the plague.
32:58Move elephant, yeah.
33:00Put giraffe in one and crocodile can go one as well.
33:04I think this is two.
33:05Yeah.
33:05Two.
33:06I think Ben's taking advantage of the fact that me and you are not as on it as Ken.
33:13And Ben's trying to like psych him out.
33:15I mean, if you get caught up in that mix, we need to break that mix up because they are three powerhouses.
33:20They need to be broken apart and we need you for that.
33:23But if no one else wants Flamingo, it's not going to get anywhere.
33:28Take a look at my two, they're last.
33:32Oh.
33:36Do we think any of them have crocodiles?
33:41No, we know they don't have crocodiles, but we're less than them.
33:44Their ideal outcome is everything except the Flamingo.
33:49Is your Flamingo?
33:50Yeah, I'm Flamingo.
33:51I'm the loser.
33:52I'm the big loser of this game.
33:54I don't want you to go out.
33:56I don't want you to go out.
33:57If there's multiple losers, can you consider saving me from the deathmatch?
34:02I'd really appreciate that.
34:02If there's multiple losers.
34:04I'm Mr. Popular.
34:06Everyone wants to have their one-on-one chats with me, to know that they're secure, but nobody is secure.
34:14I haven't won yet, so it's not my place to make that decision.
34:16I don't want to.
34:17And your token of immunity?
34:20Go to Beck's.
34:21That's settled.
34:23I mean, she supported me, like, two, three days in a row.
34:26You were in the deathmatch yesterday.
34:28She wasn't supporting you.
34:29Is she not?
34:30I don't know who I would take to the deathmatch.
34:38I'll make that decision when the time comes.
34:40It depends on how angry I am.
34:44We'll see.
34:50Thanks.
34:51Might as well put that in there, anyway.
34:54And there?
34:55Yeah, just for ease of mind.
34:57So we could move crocodile instead of lion, but if we put a giraffe in there, the crocodile
35:02will move instead.
35:03One in here.
35:05And one in here?
35:05Yeah, for me, it doesn't matter.
35:07And then we've...
35:08Flamingo, where do you want flamingo?
35:10No.
35:10No, it doesn't matter, does it?
35:17The round is over.
35:20Here are the results.
35:21As the lion and the giraffe are tied, the crocodile will move one space.
35:27The zebra will move two spaces.
35:34And the elephant will move three spaces.
35:40After round five, Bedalia and Charlotte's lion is in the lead.
35:47However, Bedalia also has the elephant he is supporting with Allison in joint second place.
35:52The flamingo and the giraffe have still only moved one space.
36:00She has stress because I can't do anything to change it.
36:03Let's go.
36:04Oh, yeah.
36:05I feel like it's going downhill.
36:07And I feel like I've disappointed India.
36:09It's just really, like, frustrating because I can't, like, do anything at the moment.
36:16It was all about picking a stupid animal.
36:20And she just picked one that was very unlucky.
36:24I picked one that someone else had picked.
36:26So why didn't I spot it and say to her,
36:28you need to pick one that they've picked.
36:30What a mess!
36:32Oh!
36:33Obviously, Ben's talking to Bedalia.
36:48It's just frustrating because I can't really do anything.
36:50And I'm just going to have to pick between Dan and Allison.
36:55It's just frustrating when I know there's nothing I can really do now.
36:58I've just got to, like, I'm going to go through the day.
37:01I can't really do anything to put myself in an okay position.
37:07If you win, and there are multiple people tied with zero points,
37:12which is looking like me and Indy,
37:13you get to choose the person who goes to the death match.
37:17All I'm asking, I will help your lion and your elephant win
37:20so that you can win.
37:21If Indy and I tie, please don't pick me.
37:25But you switched on to do.
37:30It's my game. It was my game, you know?
37:32The logic behind the four, as opposed to the two and two.
37:35You figured that out instantly.
37:36Also, no one wanted to work with Ben.
37:40He wants my strategy and his...
37:42Is it private?
37:44Semi, semi.
37:45Maybe, like, two minutes.
37:48I think, yeah, like, I'm sorry, we've ended up on other sides.
37:52Then I apologise, because I may have said something,
37:54like, you grabbed the people that were the most naive, like...
37:57No, I mean, I think we've ended up on the other sides of things,
38:01and I think that is just because we're too similar.
38:04Charlotte has said that she thought I was grabbing naive people,
38:07which I think is really insulting to those people.
38:09But I think everyone is playing a great game,
38:12and anyone is capable of winning this.
38:15Time for your next round.
38:16In which Indy will be the final player to place her tokens?
38:21Bedalia, please select your four tokens.
38:24Can I abstain, please?
38:26Thank you, Bedalia.
38:27Charlotte?
38:28Yep.
38:29Please select your tokens.
38:37They have total control of the board.
38:39Ken's controlled the whole game, he understood that.
38:41Once you get four people, you can block out the others.
38:44It's just devastating.
38:51I feel very confident, because I've been more assertive today in the main match,
38:54whereas other games I've kind of sat back and let other people dictate the strategy.
38:57But this is a game that paid off, it just worked perfectly, there was nothing they could do.
39:01Oh, it was in line in three?
39:04Line on two, so it just moved three and two, and it finishes the game.
39:08Okay.
39:09We're just finishing, that's the only way to finish the game.
39:11The decision was made to just push the line over the line to really put the other team out of their misery.
39:17What would you guys like me to do with these?
39:26Just put them all in one, I think, and it will just end, if that's okay with you.
39:31Yeah, that's fine.
39:32Thank you, India.
39:49At the end of round six, the elephant moves one space.
39:55The lion will move two spaces.
39:57And then a further three spaces.
40:08Meaning the lion has won the race.
40:11The elephant is second, and the crocodile is third.
40:18Players, the game is now over.
40:20Thank you for playing.
40:21The results for the final round are...
40:24But Dahlia gained the most points after his lion won.
40:28His elephant came second, and he received a bonus point for supporting two animals in the top three.
40:37So I'm feeling good about winning.
40:39Not feeling good about having to pick someone to lose.
40:43I didn't want that to be a decision I had to make.
40:45However, Ben and Indy failed to gain a single point.
40:49As there are joint losers, the winner of the main match gets to decide who is the deathmatch candidate.
40:57The hardest part is when people turn on the tears.
41:02Because that's when it gets challenging.
41:04And you stop seeing them as players that you're playing against, but as people you're hurting by the decision that you're making.
41:19I'm picking India for the deathmatch.
41:23Just because Ben has been there for me in previous games.
41:29I want you to stay in, but I can't do it.
41:32Okay.
41:32Ben, thank you for supporting me.
41:34I do understand.
41:40As the winner of the main match, Bedalia has gained two tokens of life and five garnets.
41:46Bedalia, please decide who you will give your token of life to.
42:00I'm picking...
42:02Bix.
42:05Thanks, Bedalia.
42:06You've had my back.
42:06You can give us a hug.
42:09You can trust me.
42:09Funny how two games ago, I gave Bedalia a token of life.
42:13So, I don't know if he genuinely believes that I haven't been playing the game with him, or if he's just convincing himself of that, so he doesn't feel so guilty about going against me this round.
42:26Indy, please pick someone to join you in the deathmatch who does not have a token of life.
42:33I'm just really torn because, essentially, I'm only really looking at four of you.
42:37Yep.
42:38And I'm not picking Charlotte because, obviously, we're besties.
42:45And also, I think you're going to be really, really strong.
42:49And I've seen you win, Ken.
42:52And I've seen you win, Alison.
42:54And I thought I would never pick you, as in, like, when we were talking, it didn't even cross my mind that we'd pick each other.
42:59But I'm putting myself in your shoes, and I actually think if you had been the deathmatch candidate, I do think you would have chosen me.
43:06I wouldn't.
43:07In this situation, I'm...
43:08I would have picked Ken.
43:10Wow.
43:11But I genuinely would not have picked you.
43:13I would have picked Ken, because I don't like the way the game went today.
43:18I actually have no idea what to do.
43:22Feeling okay?
43:24I'm going to fight like hell.
43:25Ben, what didn't you like about the way I played this game?
43:31Well, I think that your strategy today was really calculated in terms of who you worked with.
43:39It wasn't.
43:39It wasn't.
43:40I don't know why you think that, because all of us decided.
43:43I was there.
43:43It wasn't.
43:43It was true.
43:44Gravitated together.
43:45I think if it was me, I would be picking Ben.
43:50He works under pressure.
43:51Having to choose between picking Allison and Ben for the deathmatch.
43:57They're both really strong players who I wouldn't have ordinarily chosen had I had other options.
44:01Indy, the time has come.
44:03Please make your decision.
44:05I'm really close with both of you.
44:07It's horrible.
44:07I'm so sorry, Allison.
44:24I think I'm going to have to take you to the deathmatch.
44:27It's okay.
44:29No hard feelings at all.
44:30You've got a good chance of winning.
44:31And if somebody's won, then the other person is dead.
44:41It's time for your deathmatch.
44:43Black and white.
44:44Which sounds simple, but you've been on this show long enough to know.
44:47It won't be.
44:49It's probably going to be really, really stressful.
44:52Sorry.
44:54In this game, you must tactically place numbered tiles to earn points.
44:59In each round, the player who places the higher number wins.
45:03Each player receives a set of nine tiles numbered 0 to 8.
45:08The nine tiles are divided into black and white colours.
45:11The even numbers are black and the odd numbers are white.
45:16The starting player will choose a number and place it face down in front of the dealer.
45:21Their opponent will then place their numbered tile.
45:24The player who puts out the higher number will win the round and a point.
45:28But players' numbers will not be revealed even after the result is decided.
45:33Using the numbers you chose and the black and white tiles as hints,
45:36you must play by judging what tiles your opponent has left.
45:40The player with the most points after nine rounds will be the winner.
45:43The loser will be eliminated.
45:45The deathmatch will begin shortly.
45:49Oh, it's a tricky one.
45:51Tricky game.
45:52You have a fantastic memory, so...
45:55Have you played a game like this before, either of you?
45:58Not this, no.
45:59I haven't.
45:59Alison will probably have an edge because it is about memory,
46:03but I'm definitely feeling better now I've seen what the deathmatch is.
46:08When they say they give the score after every round...
46:11One point.
46:12One point.
46:12But they don't say who it's to.
46:13No, they will.
46:14Oh, they will.
46:15But you won't know what Indy's put down.
46:17Yeah, OK.
46:18I think Indy's really clever, and she's also a bit of an unknown quantity,
46:22so I'm up for a bit of a battle.
46:27You don't want to be wasting numbers against big numbers against little numbers.
46:31You have to keep track.
46:32There's a chance you can just play four, five, six, seven, eight as your five first moves
46:36and just win every single one.
46:38Yeah.
46:39If she doesn't get wind of that, that is the most simple pre-strategy that you could
46:44do if you get to five points.
46:46I think for the first few rounds, just getting the most information is the best way to go
46:51about it.
46:51So if she plays white, I'm guessing she's playing three or five.
46:55Right.
46:55I go four, and then I can basically rule out whether or not the three or the five is gone.
47:01You don't want to have a completely restricted range of numbers left in your hand.
47:04You want to have the option to play a low, a middle, or a high.
47:08Because if it looks like she would be going for a win, if it really looks like she wants
47:12to win, you play your lowest number.
47:13Exactly.
47:14You feel comfortable at a poker table, right?
47:16That's where you feel confident, and I would channel that exact same energy.
47:19Mm-hmm.
47:25I think she seems quite composed.
47:34I think she'll be a challenge.
47:36Ooh.
47:37I'm nervous.
47:39The death match will no begin.
47:44I'm a stronger player than I had imagined to be.
47:49I really want to win.
47:55So I did start off just kind of randomly shuffling it, and then I had seen what
48:25Alison had done, which was to arrange it in color order, and I thought, actually, you
48:30know what, it will probably just make it easier for myself.
48:32Alison, you may turn around.
48:45Alison, please place your first tile.
48:55Oh, she's so cool as a cucumber in here.
49:01She genuinely is.
49:05Looking up and kind of meeting Alison's gaze, which is quite, yeah, quite nerve-wracking.
49:11India, please place your tile.
49:18Her strategy was to play five anyway if she plays a black.
49:22She's deviated.
49:33I think she overthought it.
49:34She did overthink it.
49:35She should have stuck on her plan.
49:37Alison wins one point.
49:40She played a white tile.
49:42I won, so I know that either her one or her three has gone.
49:47Alison, as you won the previous round, you'll present your tile first in this round.
49:51I will assume that India doesn't want to go two-nil down.
49:57I think she's going to play a strong tile, so I might as well throw away something that's
50:02going to make me lose anyway.
50:05Yeah, I knew she'd do that.
50:06Get the zero out.
50:07That's too high.
50:25India wins one point.
50:26Please present your next tile.
50:45She went to her.
50:46She went to her.
50:47I think she went to him.
50:48There was a four.
50:50Alison wins one point.
50:51Alison is literally just staring at me the whole time.
50:57I have no idea where to look.
51:09Yes, I thought she would.
51:11I thought she would.
51:12India wins one point.
51:14Oh, my God.
51:26No.
51:27Alison wins one point.
51:32These are such huge swings.
51:34Like, I've never seen the wins and losses like this.
51:36I can't watch.
51:37I can't watch.
51:38I can't watch.
51:38I can't watch.
51:39I can't watch.
51:41Alison, please present your tile.
51:43I actually have realised I've lost track of what Alison could have.
51:55Oh, that's big.
51:58She's on four now.
52:01Alison wins one point.
52:06She's fidgeting a bit and possibly looking a little bit uncomfortable.
52:13She's going to play her little white.
52:22India's going to play the eight and get out.
52:25Come on, India.
52:26Don't do it.
52:26She's going to think it's seven.
52:27Now it's a four-two.
52:29I'm thinking, okay, I've kind of got to win quite a few in a row to kind of get me out of this.
52:36She's going to win.
52:36She's got rid of her eight.
52:41India wins one point.
52:50My only decision really is do I reckon that she's going to play her highest remaining one first or her highest remaining one second?
52:58India wins one point.
53:22India, please present your tile.
53:23India wins one point.
53:24India, please present your tile.
53:24I will now reveal your final tiles.
53:41Well done.
54:05Good game.
54:05The game is now over.
54:07You played your numbers and, Alison, you are the winner of the deathmatch and you have made it through to the next day.
54:14If you played a seven, we'd have had another round.
54:18Oh.
54:18Aren't we?
54:19So, I had to be sure.
54:21I'm now in quite a good position to get through tomorrow and then onwards and upwards, hopefully.
54:29I could not keep eye contact with you.
54:31It was, like, piercing.
54:33Sorry.
54:33No, it's incredible.
54:35I know that it's not the friendliest expression.
54:38I don't know how old India is, but the stair works well on the kids, by the way.
54:42That was also a fun deathmatch, too.
54:45Yeah, thank you very much.
54:46That was a good game.
54:47You're going to be massively missed, because you're just such a huge character.
54:50Aw, I will miss you guys.
54:52My mum is going to be so happy.
54:53My dad's going to love watching this.
54:55So, yeah, I'm just thrilled to have gotten this far.
54:59The game is kind of forcing each of us to act in ways we'd never dream of acting in the outside world.
55:04Good luck.
55:05I do think that when people are playing games where their stakes are high, you will see people's true colours coming out.
55:11Indy, you have been the fifth person to be eliminated from Genius Game.
55:16Please give your garnets to your opponent.
55:18There you go.
55:20Good luck, Dan.
55:20Thank you for playing.
55:22Bye, Dan.
55:23Goodbye, guys.
55:24Bye, guys.
55:24Goodbye.
55:24Bye, guys.
55:25Bye.
55:26Bye.
55:28Wow.
55:31Wow.
55:31Did not expect.
55:32No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
55:36And the rest of you, goodbye, goodnight, farewell, adieu.
55:40I'll see you next time.
55:42It's tough, this game.
55:44It's getting tougher and tougher.
55:45I'm going to miss her, but the show must go on.
55:49The only thing that really matters is to win the game.
55:55Next time on Genius Game.
55:57Welcome to the final six.
55:59Love it.
56:00Players must rise above confusion and chaos.
56:03Diamond dilemma.
56:05Don't know what I'm meant to do.
56:06Wait till the last moment to betray your team.
56:09What?
56:09The truth is tested like never before.
56:12No one here believes that you've meant it.
56:14I swear I'm alive.
56:15We have to prepare ourselves mentally.
56:17Yeah, the plot really does stick in.
56:20Is there anything I can do to swear that decision?
56:22A choice has been made.
56:23As the final edge is closer, who will survive?
56:26Game over.
56:27Will you be able to handle the pressure?
56:29We'll be able to handle the pressure.
56:31We'll be able to handle the pressure.
56:32We'll be able to handle the pressure.
56:32We'll be able to handle the pressure.
56:33We'll be able to handle the pressure.

56:36We'll be able to handle the pressure.
56:37We'll be able to handle the pressure.
56:38We'll be able to handle the pressure.
56:39We'll be able to handle the pressure.
56:40We'll be able to handle the pressure.
56:41We'll be able to handle the pressure.
56:42We'll be able to handle the pressure.
56:43We'll be able to handle the pressure.
56:44We'll be able to handle the pressure.
56:45We'll be able to handle the pressure.
56:46We'll be able to handle the pressure.
56:47We'll be able to handle the pressure.
