09:12calm him absolutely although i do see a potential risk factor here craig has a high need for affection
09:18and reassurance andy is a lot more careful with his affection and emotional side are they going to
09:26be flexible enough to be able to accommodate each other's needs overall i think these guys really do
09:33make a good match and they're totally committed to doing what it takes to find monogamy and a deeper
09:39connection from a relationship how important is monogamy to you oh god it's everything i wouldn't care
09:45if he had three heads or four i don't care as long as all four heads are trustworthy why is it such a
09:55big thing for you um because i've been cheat on before and i just really would like to be able to
10:02trust someone again yeah my two long-term relationships both were heartbreakers because they both cheated on
10:11me and i honestly believed that they were faithful so um it was heartbreaking and i sort of gave up on

12:21evening my work is very important to me it's probably the number one thing in my life or it has been for
12:27the last few years my favorite show is sex in the city five years ago i think it was more about having
12:32fun with guys and now i'm getting serious about it well if i hadn't met anyone by the time i'm 36 i
12:39would start freaking out only because in sex in the city that's when carrie met someone and when you
12:47meet bella she just fills the room up she's warm engaging vibrant and she's got a very cosmopolitan
12:55lifestyle when we look to her relationship history she actually has a habit of attracting
13:00men who need to be fixed she's a helpaholic sometimes i choose the wrong guys i don't know
13:07why i think it's just that bad boy thing that that comes down you go oh that's really hot i want that
13:12and it's kind of a little bit out of reach so you want it more so i think she really needs someone

13:29yep that's it i'm a fashion accessories designer i'm extremely ambitious because i've built my
13:37business up from scratch so it's something that i've created from from nothing for the first time in a
13:43long time i'm extremely happy with who i am i think it's the best time to meet someone when i'm happy
13:49and content with everything it's a perfect time to to connect with someone else he knows who he is
13:57he's very sure of himself very grounded and one of the things that really strikes me when you meet him
14:03is that he's a wonderful father to his six-year-old boy he's pretty awesome uh he's still living in new
14:09zealand and what's your plans in terms of the future for and your little boy um i have big plans
14:16i guess me being ambitious i really want the best for him i've built my business for my little boy
14:23because i want him to have a better lifestyle and a better life than i had growing up michael's very
14:30different from bala's usual type he's emotionally mature he doesn't need to be fixed or rescued he's
14:36actually the full package now and let's not forget they're a creative couple you know she's the radio
14:43announcer and he's designing fashion and jewelry accessories and that's going to really feed their
14:49relationship that commonality are we all in agreement absolutely yes a great couple bella and michael
14:55with only one week to go before all three couples are married it's time to tell their loved ones the
15:06news and craig is about to tell his best friend penny i've been using the um treatment it's been

18:22in just this short while until very recently marrying a stranger in australia
18:28was not something michael would have thought possible i guess i've had some pretty hard times
18:33in my life i'm actually from a small town in new zealand i was actually a tradie i did lots of
18:38welding and fabricating things like that which i did for eight years coming from like i don't like
18:45saying like i just i guess a lower income family it was just really tough there wasn't many jobs
18:52and most of my family being on the benefit none of my family had moved away or been anywhere else
18:57and one day i just saw a magazine and there was a picture of a city you know at night time with
19:02all these nice lights and i just said to my work colleagues why can't i live there so i went home
19:08and sold everything that i had online every little thing for five dollars just enough to get a one-way
19:15ticket to move to brisbane when can i meet the girl well when do i get to meet her oh my gosh i'm sure
19:22you'll meet her after i marry her moved my mum and my sister over here and we all lived in one big
19:29house together until they all got jobs and they both love it here now the women are funniest species
19:34in this world are they women like to talk a lot so you have to have a good ear i'm a good listener i
19:42think a good husband to me is someone who's there you know to support and encourage
19:52and to make the other person happy it's not really about me it's about
19:57it's about them like for me for myself that's how i feel it's just a lucky girl to have you

21:18tend to struggle to get dates but i definitely seem to struggle getting a second date so yeah you sit
21:24down this way facing the window okay go this is my idea maybe it's due to the fact that i'm a little
21:31bit too full on and intimidating for the girls at times it's like a i don't know what that what is
21:37that a moonwalk i don't know what it is it's terrible but i've just got to do something
21:41here i am there we go there's now only one day to go before the three couples meet and marry
21:59craig and andy's final day of single life will involve traveling to their wedding location
22:05i've always wanted to get married ever since i was very young
22:14whilst our unions are not legally binding it's the intention of the experiment to replicate a marriage
22:20in every other sense of the word unfortunately for craig and andy our government still refuses to
22:26recognize their desire to marry so we have moved our experiment to new zealand
22:31since it became legal in 2013 roughly 1000 same-sex couples are married every year in new zealand 26
22:43of which are from australia you know when you were growing up and that whole time when you start
22:49thinking about coming out yeah what was it like for you terrible it was probably i never thought i'd do it
22:55so um i was brought up in a quite a homophobic environment and how was it received by family
23:01and not very well my friends that i had at the time most of them just walked away um i had friends like
23:08that since kindergarten in you know they were really great friends and i basically never spoke to them
23:14again so it was pretty hard i didn't really have anyone when i first came out
23:20i grew up in the hunter valley and it was this very small mining town everybody knew everybody's
23:29business so my dad was quite um homophobic growing up as a kid and made me and my brothers believe that
23:40it was a sin and you know amongst other things so coming out was really hard because i honestly believed it
23:49was so bad people don't choose to be gay you're born you're born gay growing up as a young lad and
24:05feeling very much on my own i wouldn't put anybody through that and i really wouldn't it's not it's not
24:11very nice to think that you're the only person like you in the world
24:15and i still can't believe i did come out i never thought i would actually
24:24be brave enough to do it i i honestly believed i was the only gay in the village
24:31but i wasn't
24:35oh my god this place is huge
24:39i'm looking for an equal i'm looking for somebody who compliments me who who respects me
24:48who admires me who looks up to me who loves me you know

24:58love is never wrong how dare a religion or a government tell me that
