00:00already been raised. Now we can confirm he is indeed Suleiman Shah. We also have identities
00:05of the two others. All three have been identified. We're going to bring you more context on this in
00:11just a second, but this is a huge slice of breaking news that we have for you, that we
00:15are bringing for you right now. Remember, even the trajectory of how it is that the NIA identified
00:21that all three of those involved were indeed from Pakistan. That has in itself been quite a timeline.
00:28Remember, when this encounter took place, weapons were also taken in. So I believe
00:34one M4 carbine rifle, two AK rifles and other munitions recovered also from the site. Let's
00:40just go back to our colleague Anand to understand more. Anand, just want to clarify with you because
00:44this is a key point. Suleiman Shah, we've confirmed, is one of the three. He was involved in Bessaran.
00:49Are we saying the other two were also involved in what took place in Bessaran?
00:53Now, we have not got confirmation whether the other two were also present there.
00:58But we do know that Suleiman was involved. We also know that these two, the other two
01:03terrorists had also been involved in terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. Jibran was one
01:09of the terrorists who escaped in December 2024 when there was another encounter and one
01:16F.T. by the name of Junaid was neutralized. But Jibran had escaped. So they are all category
01:22A terrorists. All of them had, you know, plans and they had mandate to try and effect different
01:32kind of activities in terms of terror activities on Indian soil and especially in Jammu and Kashmir.
01:38So this is something which has now been confirmed. But Suleiman was the main planner and attacker,
01:43and he was also involved in the plan and attack at the Zedmode tunnel. And before that, his hand in the bus
01:51that was that derailed and then, beg your pardon, that went and landed in the gorge and the Amarnath
01:58Yatris bus carrying the Amarnath Yatris where there was an explosion. And there was the attempt to try
02:04and blow that bus up. But it landed down in the gorge and we lost a lot of innocence there.
02:09So he was involved in planning that too, and also a few ambushes on some of the security
02:14convoys. So Suleiman, we are given to understand, was the one who was, who is reportedly a trained
02:20park SOG, a park commando, an ex-commando who was loaned to the Lashkar. And he was sent here with
02:28specific training and to effect and to try and use the FTs. And he was largely the planner and
02:34executor of some of the operations that the mastermind sitting in Muridke were planning along
02:41with the Park Army and the ISI. So most important, the fact that the claim that Bharat has been making
02:48that these are all foreign terrorists and that they have been sent over from Pakistan is important.
02:54The other part, that the identity, the original identity of one of these three terrorists,
03:00I must say that we do not know which of the three terrorists, but one of these three terrorists
03:05has been identified and established as Habib Tahir from Park occupied Jammu Kashmir. And he is from
03:13the Chhuttu Rajishi area. He was earlier part of the Jamia del Talaba. And one of his close friends
03:19who treated him as a brother has now actually put out a letter where he confirms the death of Habib Tahir
03:24and says that this man was mentally disturbed, but he had joined the Lashkar long back and he had
03:30infiltrated into Bharat and he was committing acts here of terror here, but in their own expression,
03:38and he has confirmed that in Operation Mahadev, Habib Tahir was killed. So we know that one of the
03:44three, the original identity of that person is also known. He is a Pakistani national coming from
03:49Park Park occupied Jammu Kashmir. And he was sent here as part of the Lashkar ISIF. Now ISIF is seen
03:56to be the benign front, like the Jamaat-ud-Dawa of the Lashkar. And it was the ISIF head who was leading
04:04the funeral procession, a proscribed Lashkar entity by the United States of America, who was leading the
04:12funeral procession of all the Lashkar Kadar along in Muridke, along with all the Park Army generals and
04:21soldiers who were standing there and the Park Army senior leaders. So he was the one leading the
04:26procession and the Pakistan government and the Pakistan media tried to portray him as a simple
04:31cleric and a man of faith who was being deliberately branded as a terrorist. But this person,
04:37Habib Tahir is from the same ISIF. So very clearly, all these are nothing but Lashkar fronts to show
04:45them as benign and to escape FATF censure that the Park government is setting up these proxy identities.
04:51And they are all Pakistani terrorists, Park-backed, state-backed terrorists, because the Pakistan
04:57government has openly come out in support of the Lashkar, the Jaisya Mohammed and also of entities like
05:03the resistance front. These are all fronts of the Lashkar. They came out in support of the
05:07ISIF also. So there is no harm in claiming that they are all directly backed by the Pakistan military
05:14and the Pakistan state. So this is a big, big development. And perhaps it underlines ahead of
05:21the debate in the Rajasabha and in the Lok Sabha today on Operation Sindhu, ahead of Home Minister
05:27Ramit Shah going to make his deposition. This is a big, big revelation that has come forth. And perhaps
05:32Bharat has to now underline to the world the menace that Pakistan is trying to create or unleash on
05:38Indian soil and the involvement. This will go a long way in trying to underline the need to greylist
05:46Pakistan again under the FATF and to also take some serious note of the Pakistan government, the civilian
05:52government and its ministers who have been giving open cover fire to these entities who are sending the
05:57foreign terrorists.
05:58All right Anand, thank you for joining us. Thank you for bringing us that context. Let's go over to our
06:03colleague Ishaan Vani. He remains with us live on the show to bring us more context. Ishaan, just confirm
06:09first initial details for us. The three men around whose we are bringing identity information now for our
06:16audience. We can confirm that one of them was directly involved in Pehelgaam. We don't yet know
06:22about the other two. Is that accurate?
06:26Well, yes, you are bang on. One of those killed there, we have been given to understand that
06:32his crime to Pehelgaam has been established. One, because initially when pictures and sketches came out,
06:38his sketch was part of the initial findings of the police through eyewitnesses and the material that they
06:43were able to collect from there. So that's why one of those attackers, Suleiman Shah, his identity
06:50among those who have been killed has been stained and it seems like the group possibly could have
06:55split after carrying out Pehelgaam attack. But there are three of those who have been killed there.
06:59But the further investigation is being done. What we have been given to understand, there's a
07:03forensics happening on the weapons that have been used and trying to establish the crime with Pehelgaam and
07:09checking from the bullet casings that have been recovered from Pehelgaam to make sure
07:13that if the same weapons have been used, that means they're directly involved apart from the
07:18facial recognition or the cross-examination of those who have seen him, including those
07:23suspects who have been picked up by the NIA and arrested as part of the case and who have been
07:29blamed for keeping and harboring them for a day or so nearby Saran to carry out this attack.
07:36So they're also being checked, their identities have been shown, their faces to check whether they
07:39were part of this attack. But the name that had come up after Pehelgaam attack is of Suleiman Shah
07:46and the sources are indicating that he is one of those who has been killed. But the crime to Pehelgaam
07:51on the other two hasn't been established yet. The work is in progress and in a couple of hours from now,
07:56we might be hearing from the army forces or from New Delhi because the parliament is also in session.
08:03So you could expect any difference.
08:05Ishan, just give us a second. We just want to bring our audience more information. We're just going to
08:08come back to you in a second. We're continuing to focus on this story right now, playing out,
08:13as we said, in Pehelgaam, the April 22nd incident that sparked this entire story, India's retaliation.
08:19And now seemingly, as we've just told our audience, we can confirm three terrorists neutralized,
08:24one with a direct connection to what took place in Baisaran on that day. Now, we're just going to
08:28wait for reporters to join us to bring us more information. CNN News 18 mega exclusive that we
08:33are focusing on right now. The NIA has picked up all accused arrested earlier from the Code
08:39Lakpat Jail. And our colleague Anand joins us once again. Anand, over to you.
08:44Well, so now the NIA has picked up the OGWs and then also identified, we also need to make a
08:50correction on air. The person with the beard is Hashim Musa, whose sketch was actually drawn. He's
08:56not Suleiman. Suleiman is the other person and he is, there is a, there is a, Hashim Musa or Suleiman
09:04is the same person. The other person is Abu Hamza and the third person is Gibran. So there are three,
09:11four pictures doing the round and images, but the confirmation that these three are the ones who have
09:17been neutralized. And this person, Suleiman or Hashim Musa, so it's either Hashim Musa or Suleiman,
09:25he's not called Musa Suleiman, but Hashim Musa or Suleiman is the one who was the Baisaran or Baisaran
09:32killer and planner. He was the one who led that attack and he was the one who told the other two
09:37terrorists along with him. There were three or four, we have to wait for confirmation, but he was the one
09:44who planned and executed what happened in Baisaran in Pahalgaam. The other, the other part is that the
09:51other two are also category A terrorists, foreign terrorists who have been operating in Jammu and
09:56Kashmir for a while now. In fact, in December 2024, in another encounter, the second terrorist,
10:03Gibran, escaped, whereas another terrorist, Junaid, was neutralized by the forces. Now, they have been using
10:10this entire Dachigam reserve and the Mahadev peaks and this range to try and travel between different
10:18parts of Kashmir, because these ranges give you access on either sides in all four directions to
10:24different parts of Kashmir. And it's a, it's an arduous trek, but this is mountainous terrain,
10:30which allows them to also survive with minimal contact with local peoples. But they did use the
10:35dhoks ahead of planning. And when they stayed around in that area for about two, three days,
10:41and they did a recce for two, three of the valleys in and around Pahalgaam. Pahalgaam is quite stretched
10:46and open. It's not the main Pahalgaam Valley or the Betaf Valley. There are three, four valleys.
10:51There is the Aru Valley. There is also the Bissaran Valley. So, there are multiple valleys
10:55and areas where people, tourists go. Bissaran was a little far-flung and where they did this attack,
11:00it is a little away from the main Pahalgaam area and the city. But they planned and they decided on
11:06this place. And they spent two, three days. They took the help of the local dujers who were staying
11:12there in the dhoks. And some of these people who helped them, aided them, and perhaps knew what was
11:16going on, but did not inform the authorities, were picked up by the NIA and they were being kept in
11:22Kotlakpat jail. They were pulled out of Kotlakpat jail last evening by the NIA and taken straight across.
11:28And when they were to identify these bodies, once they were brought down from the Mahathir
11:33peaks into Srinagar. And upon identification, they have now confirmed the three as Suleiman,
11:43Gibran, and the third one being Hamza Afghani. So, these are the three names. But one of these three,
11:53one of these three, CNN News 18, now has confirmation that one of these three original Pakistani name,
12:01actual name, is Hubet Tahir. And Hubet Tahir is from the Chhutu Rajashi area in Pakistan-occupied Jammu
12:09Kashmir. He was part of the Jamiyat-e-Talaba. And one of his ex-colleagues from the Jamiyat-e-Talaba
12:16has now written a letter where he says that he died. He's been neutralized,
12:20and he's dead in Operation Mahathir. Then he's also written in the letter that this person
12:26left the Jamiyat-e-Talaba and joined the ISIF and the Lashkar. And from there,
12:31he infiltrated into India. And he was part of this entire group, which was unleashing terror
12:37activities in Bharat. But most importantly, the ISIF now stands branded, the Lashkar stands branded. So,
12:45all this entire facade that they were trying to create, the Pakistani state, the Pakistani government,
12:50its ministers, including the Home Minister, Defense Minister, Foreign Minister of Pakistan,
12:54all of them trying to say that TRF is a benign entity, and it's a homegrown entity. ISIF is a
12:59benign entity, it's a charitable institution. All that now comes as a facade because they are all
13:05nothing but active fronts of the Lashkar-e-Talaba. The fact that the ISIF head was the one leading the
13:26And for the authorities, Indian authorities now to take it to the world to say, listen,
13:30they are all the same. They are just using different fronts and different entities. But they are the
13:34ones fomenting terror. And the core, the head of the Hydra is Lashkar. And they are directly backed
13:41by the Pakistani state and the Pakistan military. So, Asim Munir and the Pakistan civilian establishment
13:47along with the PAK military now are directly in the dock because they have openly backed the Lashkar
13:51and the Jais. They have openly participated and given them cover fire. And they have also given them money
13:56to rebuild their terror infrastructure. All right. So, Anand, I just want to re-establish for our
14:01audience the point that you made as you began. Can we, once again, can we just confirm for our audience
14:07that of these three, one's connection to Baisaran and what took place there is established?
14:13Yes, it is. That is Suleiman. Yes. Baisaran is the area or Baisaran is the area, however you pronounce it,
14:20but that valley where they singled out Hindu individuals and men and shot them down. Twenty-six
14:27people were killed, including poniwalas who came to save people. They are all, they are all now,
14:34the main plunder and executor has been neutralized. Whether the other two, other two were also present
14:41in Pahalgam. Whether they were part of the attack is not yet confirmed. But the main person, Suleiman,
14:47the mastermind who's supposedly an ex-PAK commando, SOG, who is now, who was loaned after he committed
14:56dividend and he retired, he was retired and then loaned to the Lashkar, he is now being neutralized.
15:03He was the one, Suleiman, alias Hashim Moussa, he's the one who's now being neutralized in this. So,
15:11the main planner and executor on Indian soil of the Baisaran attack has been neutralized. So,
15:17Pahalgam has been avenged is what the forces are claiming and forces are telling CNN News 18.
15:25Okay. All right. Anand, thank you for bringing us this information. Thank you for bringing us the context.
15:30Next, we're going to be heading over to our colleagues. We're shifting focus from the story.
15:34We're taking you now to Vijay Chowk, where my colleague Rahul Shivshankar takes over the show. Take a look.
15:44Very good morning from Vijay Chowk viewers. Right behind me is Parliament, where in just about an hour,
15:50the debate on Operation Sindhuur second day will get underway. And we all know that to kick off proceedings
15:56in the Lok Sabha, in the lower house, will be the union home minister. We're told that Rajnath Singh,
16:04the Rashtra Mantri, will of course be kicking off proceedings in the Rajya Sabha at about 1 pm.
16:11That's the tentative play out. But at the top of the hour, viewers, the headlines.
16:15Day two of Operation Sindhu debate in Parliament, Home Minister Shah to make a statement shortly.
16:33Prime Minister set to intervene at around 7 pm today. Opposition braces for yet another rebuttal.
16:43It's going to be two fronts. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to initiate debate
16:50on Operation Sindhuur in the Rajya Sabha, while Congress President Kargay to lead the opposition's charge.
16:56Bench Congress MPs put nation first. Manish Tiwari shares a cryptic
17:08Bharat ki Baat post. Sausse Se Tharoor chooses silence to avoid clashing with the party line.
