00:00It's a hockey night in Pittsburgh tonight from the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, VA.

00:07The National Hockey League presents the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Nashville Predators.

00:13The Preds keep the pressure on to the left point.

00:15Here's Matt Irwin right side over to Ryan Ellis.

00:17Back to Irwin.

00:18Left-handed shooter.

00:19Fires it.

00:20Can't get a stick.

00:21It comes off the backboards.

00:22Now to play in front and poke between the legs of goaltender Matt Murray.

00:27John Kronk, I think, is the man that got the goal on the backhand.

00:31And he put it between the legs and the Predators have a 1-0 lead.

00:35It's pretty simple stuff.

00:37And this is what's been lacking in the Penguins game as of late, Mikey, is the details.

00:42It's a simple two-on-two in front of the net.

00:44Ole Mather's man is John Kronk.

00:46And he has him, but he doesn't have him because he doesn't have a stick.

00:49He's on the wrong side of him and can't get the hands up in the air.

00:53And John Kronk has his stick free.

00:54Matt Murray can't find the loose change right in front of him.

00:58And that loose stick of John Kronk that gets free is able to shovel the puck between the legs of Matt Murray.

01:04And it's 1-0.

01:05Predators.

01:08So the Predators get the opening goal.

01:11And that's the 21st time they've done that.

01:13They have not lost a game this year in regulation when they picked up the first alley.

01:18They're 15-0-5.

01:19Kunis to the right point to Schultz.

01:23Left side to Ian Cole.

01:24Throw it towards the net.

01:25Hit a leg.

01:26Comes to Kunis.

01:26He shoots and scores.

01:28Ritz.

01:28Kunis from 22 feet.

01:30Ties it for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

01:33It's time to buy new shoes.

01:35Kunis slinging one right by Renee.

01:38And it's 1-1.

01:39And Mikey, there's that nifty little shot selection by Ian Cole that ends up resulting in the Penguins' first goal of the game.

01:48As it goes D-to-D from Schultz to Cole.

01:50It's on the stick of Ian Cole at the left point and off the stick.

01:54As that little wrister towards the cage goes off of, I believe, Ryan Johansson.

01:58And bounces right to Chris Kunis as he came off the near half wall and then got separation from Matt Irwin.

02:04Got away from his check and got the loose change in the high slot.

02:08And boy, is this a roof shot by Chris Kunis.

02:11Up over the left shoulder of Pecorine.

02:14And Renee's flinching.

02:15He's putting like his left shoulder up near his ear just so it doesn't hit him.

02:19It goes bar down and we're tied at one.

02:21So they re-tag.

02:23And it's ripped back into the Penguins' hole.

02:25Patank took a hit off the far side.

02:28Made the play up to Fair.

02:29Let's go off a stick.

02:30Hagelin to Daly.

02:31Moves into the zone.

02:32Shoots and scores!

02:34Grabber Daly!

02:35Long range slapper from between the circles.

02:38Beats Renee on the club hand side it appeared.

02:41Penguins take the lead.

02:43Oh, hopping that Cordova, baby.

02:46We're going bowling.

02:48Harden, we've talked so much about puck support when the Penguins are playing their game.

02:52And that is how this goal is scored.

02:55Support all over the ice.

02:56You had a good play by Eric Fair to get the puck out of the zone.

02:59Take a hit to make a play.

03:01But you had Carl Hagelin, who's a left corner, came all the way over to the right side of the ice.

03:05Picked up the loose puck in the neutral zone.

03:07Spun and turned.

03:09And you had more puck support by Trevor Daly.

03:11A defenseman jumping up on the play.

03:13He comes in the top of the circle.

03:14And baby, does he let this thing fly?

03:17It's a little half slapper.

03:18But I think he catches Rene on his way down into his butterfly.

03:22So while Rene's going down, Daly goes upstairs over the left glove hand.

03:27And it's 2-1 pins.

03:28The Penguins have that game.

03:29And then they immediately go after that one to St. Louis to meet the Blues.

03:32Who gave them all they could handle, right?

03:34Around the net.

03:34A quick shot by Hornquist.

03:36He surprises Rene.

03:37And he puts it by from in tight.

03:40And the Penguins now build it to a 3-1 lead.

03:43Oh, how much fried chicken can you eat?

03:45It's Patrick Hornquist against his former mate.

03:51Oh, you know Patrick Hornquist is smirking right there on Pecorino, his former teammate,

03:56as he beats him on the wraparound.

03:58This starts with a face-off win by Sidney Crosby.

04:01But it's not a clean win.

04:02It's one of those 50-50 pucks that sits in behind Sid.

04:04Who gets there first?

04:05But Connor Sheery, Sheery throws it into the corner with Sid is first to the puck.

04:09He bumps it behind the net to Connor Sheery, excuse me, to Patrick Hornquist.

04:13And on the forehand, the wraparound, not a good goal by Pecorino.

04:17He was not tight to his right post.

04:19And somehow Hornquist finds a spot, finds a hole between the right skate and the post

04:24to give the Penguins a 3-1 lead.

04:27Takes a stride back to the boards.

04:28Goes to the tank.

04:29Right side to Crosby.

04:30One-timer and stopped by Rene.

04:31Picked up by the Bears.

04:32They try and back it up the body.

04:33Rene on the net.

04:34Rene's lost his stick.

04:36Back to the tank it goes.

04:37Center point.

04:38Left side to Kessel.

04:39Rene's trying to reach for his stick.

04:41And the Penguins in there.

04:42Hornquist kind of angles the skates over to get a piece of it.

04:44Now in front of the shot.

04:45Score!

04:45Hornquist again!

04:47Right in front of the net!

04:48He made that whole play.

04:50The Penguins strike on the power play.

04:52And they now lead 4-1.

04:54How about them apples?

04:59Patrick Hornquist making room for himself to get the goal.

05:03Patrick Hornquist was the hungry, hungry hippo.

05:05Nobody wanted the puck more than Patrick Hornquist on this play.

05:08And yes, when Rene had no stick, Mikey, he was like a boat without a runner.

05:13He was just off balance the whole time.

05:15And he couldn't corral himself.

05:17And the puck eventually goes off the stick of Bonino.

05:19It's bouncing around to the left of Rene.

05:22But he just can't find his balance without a stick.

05:25And Patrick Hornquist just turns and takes a bouncing puck and chips it towards the cage.

05:29It goes off the left glove of Peck Rene.

05:32It trickles into the goal.

05:34And the Penguins lead 4-1.

05:35Nashville trying to set the play up and go in again.

05:38They just can't get into the zone right now.

05:40Finally, they trickled across the line.

05:42They feed it over now to Wilson.

05:43Going to the net.

05:44Backhand shot.

05:44Save!

05:45Rebound!

05:45He scores!

05:46Wilson scores on the rebound.

05:47His own shot.

05:48And gives the Predators their second goal.

05:51And it's 4-2.

05:53Well, that passed by Mike Fisher.

05:55What a backhand saucer pass by Mike Fisher to Colin Wilson.

06:00There was a 50-50 puck right at the Penguins' blue line, Mikey.

06:03There were two white jerseys, two black jerseys.

06:06And the Preds got the puck.

06:07They get it to Mike Fisher.

06:08And he throws a backhand saucer to Colin Wilson, who gets it off his right skate,

06:13kicks it up to his stick, and then just bulldozes his way into the goal.

06:16The original shot was stopped off the right pad of Matt Murray,

06:20but he kicks it right out to the stick of Wilson, who corrals the puck

06:24and shoots it around that right pad of Matt Murray.

06:27And just like that, the Preds are back in this game.

06:31It's now 4-2.

06:32And the Predators are simply running out of time.

06:39Powers into the Penguins' end.

06:41They lead it to the left point.

06:42It's off of Matt.

06:51They're going to wave it off, however.
